Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz 2016 750ml

The Pepperjack shiraz 2016 pays tribute to the Barossa's rich heritage. Rich, dark red with a dark purple rim. The nose shows rich concentration of dark red and blue fruits, ripe blackberries, dark chocolate, and rich mocha note. Hints of spice and integrated oak. The palate is rich and plush with good structure. There is a concentrated layer of blackberry, blue fruits and oak which is balanced with soft layers of tannins to give length and finesse while finishing soft and full of flavour.‘ This is an especially good release of this favourite of Australian red wine drinkers. It's modern and old school at once; an excellent place to be. It shows hearty, black berried fruit flavour, it has good depth, it adds clove, licorice and mocha notes to the show, and while there is oak flavour it runs third to region and variety. Satisfying is the word.’ - 94 Points Campbell Mattinson.
