Camera is great in theory but in the end I had to return it. It would work intermittently and then would have to set it up again fresh. Would consistently be offline/ unknown/ disconnected and barely be connected up to a week without issues. This is not ideal for when you want that peace of mind that it's just going to work when you really want to monitor what your pet is doing when you are not at home. I have since replaced it with a more expensive google nest camera as I just needed something that would just work and so far I've had no issues with that device at all.

Very easy to set up through the app. Camera has a good range and decent picture quality, microphone and speakers are loud enough. Can take pictures and videos from the camera and save them onto phone or computer. Good night vision. Easy to move around to various areas of the house. Magnetic base is strong. Only downfall is you have pay monthly for extra features such as alerts. The App sometimes shows the camera as unavailable when first opening the app. overall Not bad for what you pay for it.

The picture quality is pretty good for what we were expecting. We found the app alot better to use with the subscription which is cheap enough but still a bummer that we have to pay to save videos. The livestream feature is free though. Definitely worth the money for peace of mind knowing our little escape artist is still wandering around at home. The magnetic mount is super convenient, the cable privided is super long, and the audio does work well.

Using the free tier of the petcube lets me do exactly what I purchased it for; to check in on my pups when I have to leave the house. Able to take screen shots and videos and save them to my phone is a good feature. I am able to talk to my dogs if ever needed. Magnetic base allows different type of mounting methods, though I usually just have it sitting on a book shelf. It's very light and easy to move between the bedroom and living room as needed. Night time infrared gives good clarity provided you understand how infrared reflection works. The blinking blue light is also a good privacy feature to let anyone in the room that the camera is being viewed. The only reason it's not a 5 star is due to the app for android. Great little camera to watch over my pets when I'm not home. It is easy to set up and despite what some other reviews have said, you can definitely access the live feed when out of the home, regardless of whether you are connected to Wi-Fi or using data. Only negatives are that the camera needs to be plugged into a power outlet to be connected and hence isn't wireless, and you can't view old footage, it is only a live feed and doesn't actually record what happens when you don't have the app or feed open

After setting up my account, I had noticed that I was not able to record any videos of my cat unless I paid a substantial amount of money (double if not more than the original price I paid) to record them and then they would delete after 3 days. Not only this but I had contacted Petcubes support and they insisted the problem was my wifi even though there was no sound, connection and proper detection of movement etc. One of the main reasons as to why I am upset however, is the fact that I am not alone and majority of the people who have purchased this camera and other products of petcubes, have said the exact same things as I have as well as quoting word for word the experience that I had also. In all honesty, I wish this concept was executed better and the company was not so greedy with their subscriptions and prices in general because then I would have no problems with it. Considering the amount of money they would make from all the subscriptions and overpricing, they could have at least made the product last longer and made the app more functional. I could easily list more problems, but I wouldn't want to waste your time like Petcube did to me (at least I may be able to save you money). So to sum up all my calmed but tested nerves, please JB, for the love of everything and anything sacred, stop supporting this brand.
I was looking for a pet camera for a while that wasn't too expensive and what I needed out of a camera to keep my babies safe. PetCube definitely met my price range and has all the things I need it to do. Nightvision, record (but with a subscription), hear my pets and talk to them through the speaker. The first whole day using the camera, the little one got out from her enclosure from a hole that my big boy dug and she could have easily fit under the front fence. Thankfully, I had the camera to capture it and get on to it quickly for her safety. As well to capture the naughty holes that my boy digs. The only downside is the subscription for the recordings but I use the cheapest and lowest priced one and it suits me.
Camera quality is good and easy to setup. However, two way communication (sound & microphone function) doesn’t work unless connected to wifi. Spoke to pet cube support in relation to this and they confirmed that two way communication via mobile data currently isn’t a function. Also need to pay a subscription to properly record the live feed. Overall felt packaging was misleading and was left disappointed.
I didn't necessarily have big expectations for this camera since it was quite small and very affordable. I'm pleasantly surprised! I was able to log in to the app via my google account, and the device was super easy to set up so I was up and going within a couple of minutes! The camera is very crisp and night view is very impressive.
Two-way audio currently only works when you are connected to WiFi. It defeats the purpose if I'm unable to speak to or hear my pet when outside of the home and using phone data only. Petcube support tried to help by pushing a firmware update, but the issue is still unresolved. Using high speed NBN at home and the video quality is still pretty average. Gets pixelated at times.
