I'm not going to lie, my cat Jasper is a slob. From getting food and water all over the kitchen floor, to flinging litter ALL around the little box. This mat almost eliminates the litter mess completely! This mat is big enough to catch litter from all sides of the box. In my house, I have no choice but to put my litter box in a room with carpet. I had to drag the sweeper out every single day to sweep up the scattered litter. With this mat, it's caught in the material and I can just dump it outside or back into the box. Here and there, a couple rogue litter granules escape, but it's a 98% improvement. I'd go as far to say if you own a cat, this would be a necessity. Excellent quality litter mat.

The PetSafe Cat Litter Mat is great for covering up your floor space and creating a designated space for the cat. The Litter Mat provides exceptional protection for your flooring and reduces the amount of cleaning that is required to maintain an environment free from litter crystals which is a huge pro. While it can't stop all of the tracking of litter it greatly reduces it from ending up in other rooms; the deep grooves trap the litter. The mat is easy to clean and dry. I was unable to find any cons to the Litter Mat. I am impressed with this product.

Since I have owned my cat, I have been sweeping his litter box area DAILY to keep litter from spreading across the room. I was recently introduced to this mat and the difference it made has been tremendous. For one, my cat LOVES it. It is large enough to fit his box and the surrounding area, plus my cat has room to lay on it. Yes, he chooses to lay on it! I received this cat littler mat two weeks ago and it really has been a game changer! I have two have littler boxes that I set on top of it and couldn’t believe how big the mat was that they both fit perfectly! No more huge messes when I go to change the litter box! The mat does a great job at collecting all of the littler that falls off the cats feet when stepping out or even while they are in the box. I know I have some messy cats and this has worked great! I can tell they enjoy it as well! I highly recommend this products to anyone that has indoor cats. The large one is big and perfect for two boxes!
At first, I was worried the mat was too big. However, now that I see how much litter it catches once the cat steps out of the box, I'm super happy to have gotten the larger mat. No more kitty litter on my floor! I'm super excited out that. This mat does exactly what's it meant to do, catch any litter that's kicked out of the box or carried out in the cats paws. I can now either sweep the mat or just carry it outside and shake it out. It also cleans well. I take it outside and give it a good scrub and rinse with the water hose and it's as good as new. I'm going to get a second one for the other litter box in the laundry room.
This mat is awesome! It works with the majority of litter out there and it keeps my floors clean from litter. I used to have to vacuum around the litter box every other day or so because I don't like looking at the litter that gets tracked out of the box. This Mat has solved that problem!It is designed to capture the litter and as an added bonus my cat has started using it as a place to sharpen his claws. I got the larger version of this mat and cut it in half and have placed the other half in our mud room. Dual Purpose! It works great for wiping your shoes as well.
I have three cats who use an inside litter box so I was super excited to try this PetSafe Cat Large Litter Mat! This mat is huge and just what I needed! I put this mat under my large litter box and there is still plenty of room to catch the litter that the cats drag out of the box. I just pick up the mat and shake the litter back into the pan, it is super simple! Prior to getting this mat, I was constantly sweeping up all of the litter off my floors that my cats always managed to get outside of their litter box. It was so exhausting! This mat works awesome at keeping the litter where it belongs! This mat is heavy duty but is also very easy to clean. I am so impressed with this mat that I am going to be purchasing two more of these mats for my other litter boxes!

So not only do I want to protect the carpet but also keep litter from being tracked everywhere. Which is what is happening before I got this mat. The Large PetSafe Cat Litter mat is as it states - large. There is ample room for the litter box and the cats to walk on. The collection areas are porous enough that most of the cat litter that is tracked gets collected. The only downside is I would have wished there was more coverage of the porous area. The patterned design allows for some of the cat litter to be left out and I generally have to use the hand vacuum to clean it up so it does not get tracked into the house. Despite this one drawback, I am pleased with it as it is the largest mat I have come across and larger means more space for the paws to step on.
