I was being driven mad by my Maltese Shih Tzu barking at anything and everything in the “witching hour” - about 6 to 7 each evening. Even though I am averse to punitive training, desperation won out and I tried the Citronella collar. The first time he stopped barking because he was trying to get at the unfamiliar “thing” under his chin. The next time his puzzlement at the citronella spray was entertaining to watch. I have only put it on a few times since then, and it stops his barking every time. I do have to admit that the action of putting the collar on may be the reason for the cessation of barking. Who cares? The end result is what I wanted. Easy to put on and off as needed.

I have had one of these for my Jack Russell Terrier for over 14 years. It still works like a charm to keep her from barking when we leave her in her kennel in a hotel room etc for short periods of time. After the first warning, she stops barking. I have ordered a second one to keep in the car, as, recently, she seems to object to us leaving her in the car when we are in a restaurant or store that doesn't allow dogs. I am so glad that this model is still available. Here's hoping that the new one will work as well as the original.

Getting a barking collar was the last resort for my big male Labrador, who had a habitual barking problem. It won’t make all dogs stop barking completely; but, he may only bark once or twice now and then he quits; whereas, before he was continuously barking at any car that drove by. This system has been a Godsend! I have other Petsafe products; so, that is why I decided to try this collar. So glad I did now.

Stopped the shrill barking in 2 hours! Seven-month-old GSD lost her mind in her crate when you were doing anything but paying attention to her. This allowed her to learn quickly and now we associate the 'quiet' command when she stops. We've had the collar less than 24 hours. I no longer feel like I have to work at a supersonic speed to get anything done with the other dogs. I wish I would have gotten this sooner.

I had tried a few strategies to get them to quieten down but was not getting anywhere with training. Both dogs got a zap or two the first day I put the collars on. Interestingly, one of my dogs, that barks with playful excitement, responded with a bit of a yelp when the collar activated and then continued to act as normal without being vocal. My other dog ,a fear barker, was a bit nervous after the zap so we compensated with lots of positive reinforcement and placed his crate outside so that he could retreat to a safe place and reduce stress. I have 2 crazy barking pugs. One barks at every dog or person in the backyard. The other one loses her absolute mind when cars drive by. My dogs are used to shock collars as we have invisible fence which probably helped them understand right away. The barking is much less and the collar thankfully only corrects the dog wearing it so we do not need to worry about using them with both dogs. I highly recommend this tool but understand that every dog is different.
My lab is a barker of everything. Great sometimes, but when anything walks by she protects her yard. I wanted to try something that allows me to control her bark without causing any harm to her. The box comes with the collar, bark control unit, battery and even a year warranty. The collar controls her bark by a static versus am actual shock. There are six levels and gains strength each consecutive bark. After training her with the collar for a week, she has learned that once she barks with the collar, it will give her a static notification. It has corrected her barking when worn, however, when not worn, she knows she can bark.
This collar absolutely works ! I was shopping around online for a bark collar, but really needed one asap. I saw my local tractor supply carried them so away I went ! With my dog he very quickly learned manners are a must & now there's peace in all the land! No more barking to terrorize the neighborhood, or barking so loud I can't even hear the conversation I'm having with a person right beside me . Great investment & highly recommend.
