Seems very bright and the RGB mode will come in handy for wildlife at night.

Good brightness for the price and did everything I needed. Also lightweight enough to make you forget it’s on your head.

Bomber headlamp

Petzyl has always made the best headlamps & this model is great. I bought it for work & play so the Petzyl hardhat mount is key, shock resistance, water proof, multiple light levels & colours were dope. Still on my first set of rechargeable batteries 3-weeks in...Would love more colours, like a swappable headband as black is my least favourite colour when finding something.

Bright and easy-to-use

I bought. this to have on our fishing boat. First I took it on a 6 day canoe trip for camping. It starts on the dimmist setting which was perfect for in the tent. I used the second setting for walking trails at night. I never needed the brightest setting, but it will be useful for docking a boat a night. My only minor complaint is that when it is off my head, the strap adjustment buckles slide freely, but they do stay put on my head. It meant I had to set the length every time I put it on..

Excellent flexible headamp

This headlamp has all the options you need for your adventures. Three light intensities and three color modes make it a very versatile tool for night time activities.

Great military headlamp

The flashlight is well built and very bright. The red light works well when you aren’t allowed white light, or you just want to preserve your night vision. The only downside if you want it as a military light, is you can’t turn on the red light with its own button. It does turn on as your last setting, so you have to make sure you keep it on red if you are worried about turning it on and having white light. Previous Petzl lights you were able to activate the red light by pressing and holding the power switch even if you turned it off in the white light setting. The light is very well built. It’s a little heavy but the build quality and brightness make up for it.

Very good lamp

Features of this headlamp, including RGB light with a strobe, waterproofness, shockproofness, and ability of being used with regular AAA batteries made me decide to buy this lamp. The only two downsides in the headlamp I could see from the beginning is, 1) that plastic it’s made of feels a bit cheap to me, 2) (this may be irelevant to many users) no memory of the last used mode - if I use the headlamp for 10 minutes in 100 lumens, and need to use 450 lumens, while pushing the button, the headlamp turns off. When I turn it on again, it turns on with the lowest setting, which is 7 lumens. Not a dealbreaker for me though, but may be important for others, and those should rather check Black Diamond headlamps. Another downside is, that in the package you only receive headlamp and 3 Duracell 1,5V alkaline one use only batteries. Silva Explore 4 offers two more small features in the package for the same price - headlamp mount, so you can mount your headlamp on your belt or backpack, and a small white transport sack, which can be used to hang it on the inside of a tent and it distributes light in the tent. These things can be also bought from Petzl (belt clip excluded), but they cost extra money. Be aware, that this is not a headlamp fault, rather it’s just an buyer opinion. disappointing

I bought this hoping for a more robust and reliable version of my Tikka headlamps. What I mean by reliable is the regrettable ability of the newer petzl headlamps to be more easily turned on in one's pocket, leaving one with a dead headlamp exactly when one needs light. My older Tikka never did this, my newer ones do occasionally, and this new Aria2 did this twice in the first day I had it. I work as a paramedic and fortunately I carry a spare flashlight because this came out of my pocket dead thanks to the switch being easily pressed while in my cargo pocket. This is also a very big and bulky headlamp and somehow feels more cheaply and crudely built than other petzls that I have.
