I love the corax harness. This is my second one and my wife's first one. Minor design changes, like the leg elastic placements since I first bought one around 15 years ago. Still my preferred harness all these years later.my old one had "expired" because of its age, choosing a replacement was easy.Having the double front buckles is the simplest and best way to keep things centred. Comfortable harness with great gear loops.Colour choices are ok, price is great.

As a first harness, this one is as good as it gets. The double buckles on the waist band insure your ability to center it over a wide adjustment range; ditto for the leg buckles. Could probably use a bit more padding on the legs, but I would not let that stop me. It really comes down to this harness or the Black Diamond Momentum 4S. I have owned a Corax and now own a Momentum 4s and honestly could not tell the difference blindfolded. They are both terrific!

I got this to use for top roping indoors. This is the first harness I have purchased and so far I love it. It is super comfortable and easy to adjust. It’s lightweight but it’s sturdy enough that I feel supported when I’m on the wall or on the ground belaying.

This is the second Corax I've owned and they're very comfy harnesses and are very adjustable to fit a vast range of body types.Only knock I have is that the manufacturer guidelines say that it's good for 10 years without use, and drops down vastly to 5 years after one use. It would be great if they could quantify how good these are safe for.
Great features allowing for any end use, from gym climbing to ice climbing. Excellent first harness with plenty of adjustability for larger sizes, high quality materials and construction compared to other harnesses at similar price. Very comfortable, durable, and overbuilt.
This harness would be great for people with thicker hips and thighs. I personally fall in the top end of Medium for most sizes, and bought size 1. When completely expanded, the waist band is 46". When completely cinched, the waist band is 26". (The paded section is 25")Also, with adjustable buckles on both sides means that the middle loops will always be centered, even when worn at larger sizes. The leg holes range from 27" to 18"The actual padded secion is 15".
I purchased this harness for my 11 year old grandson. He had outgrown the child sized ones. This harness is perfect it adjusts down very small and with the adjustable leg loops fit perfectly. It is very comfortable and light and great to hang in. Petzel harnesses are always top quality! He will be able to wear this and grow into it.
I loved my old Petzl harnesses. When I got back into climbing a few years ago I went with a different brand and regretted it. I finally needed a new harness and bought this one solely for the double buckle system. The harness has turned out even better than I expected. The waist band and leg straps are very comfy without feeling bulky. The double buckle system makes it very easy to put on and take off. I will be sticking with Petzl harnesses from now on.
Safe and comfortable. And as non lightweight model, it feels light enough to forget about it. Looks durable too. Functional as it can be, for holding the belay, and all the accessories. Amazing price. Recommend!
I climbed for a couple of years pretty seriously in the 90s when an Arc’teryx harness was $30. Fast forward 25 years and I started climbing with my kids a few months ago. I started with a Mad Rock harmess that was cheap, but would pinch my gut when I put my weight on it. I’d get a bruise like I’d been hit with a bean-bag gun every time.I picked up a Corax on sale because I was hoping to shed a bit of said gut and it’s very adjustable. It’s also very confortable, doesn’t shoot me in the fupa with bean bags, and the gray matches my beard!I have nothing but nice things to say about this harness. If you’ve got a 34” or larger waist, or expect changes in your waist size, be that growing or shrinking, this is an excellent choice.
