Very nice product. Good built quality, and the transfer speed is also very good. The storage for cards is also convenient. Huge thanks for designing team from PGYTECH.Having said that, the only very small issue that I face was, it is difficult to take the type c port out from the card reader. Otherwise I am very happy in purchasing this product from PGYTECH.

Gotta love this device. No more fumbling around looking for an unused card. Great to have my card reader in the same place. Well thought out design and the price is right!

The idea and product itself is incredible, and for a great price. The data transfer speeds are out of this world and I could never go without it. The only issue is the build quality feels quite cheap with the fragile-feeling plastic internal bay. Additionally, some of my micro sd cards don’t fit and fall out, having the same rubber bit like for the normal sd cards would be better

As an amateur photographer, I have more SD/MicroSD cards than I really know what to do with. I had initially though this reader offered an opportunity to turn those older spare cards into a "hard drive". So I had to put that initial disappointment aside when I realized it's turn functionality. There is lots to like here. Shaped like a pistol grip, the holder feels good in your hands. The reader and cards are safely protected within the inner casing and a carabiner makes it simply to attach to your camera bags. For storage, it easily fits 4 full sized SD cards and one micro SD card in the reader. It has room for 2 nano SIM cards - I suspect more useful for areas where you have to swap out the card from your cellphone more often. It also has space for 4 TF mini cards. ... MoreAs an amateur photographer, I have more SD/MicroSD cards than I really know what to do with. It has room for 2 nano SIM cards - I suspect more useful for areas where you have to swap out the card from your cellphone more often. It also has space for 4 TF mini cards. (The older version of the micro SD card, their shape is different enough as to render this space unusable or anyone not using this dated format. I hear it was more popular in Asian countries) At first thinking they were identical, I tried to fit in a micro SD card. I quickly gave up fearing to damage my card as it wouldn't fit. Bottom line - its wasted space in the US marketReader is USB-C. It works well with your cellphone, and computers equipped with that option. Most computers have SD readers build in these days. However the 3.1 / USB-C connection may be faster than the built-in option.Bigger issue here is price. It is well designed, but if you don't have the need for the extra TF/SIM card storage, it is an expensive reader / SD card holder.Overall, nice and well designed. But unless you have those other cards, I can't recommend it.
This little card reader has lightening-fast bandwidth. Transferred 12 GB video files in just a few minutes. It also features a few storage slots for extra SD cards. Great little device. Will definitely buy another if the need arises.
PGYTECH CreateMate High-Speed Memory Card Reader USB 3.1 Type-C. I was actually quite surprised at how solid this feels when I picked it up for the first time. I got this in an effort to better organize my SD cards, as combining storage and reader into one seems like a great idea. When prompted by Amazon to rate it "for traveling", I did take a few stars off as it doesn't make the greatest use of space nor is it very light. I ran Crystal Disk Mark on a 64GB Samsung EVO Select U3 micro SD card using the PGYTECH adapter as well as a SanDisk and a Vogtek adapter I already have, and all had more or less identical speeds.
The PGYTECH card reader is the best purchase I've made towards my filmmaking gear to date. The convenience of being able to carry SD cards and mini SD cards along with the ability to transfer data from the device to your computer could not have been better designed. The case has a nice rubber surface giving you a good grip on it as well as being small enough to slip into your pants pocket. I've been using it for a while and feel very fortunate for having picked it up. Highly recommended.
This neat device can accommodate 4 full-sized SD cards, 4 microSD cards, 4 nanoSIM, and a SIM ejector tool. It also contains a reader for 1 full sized SD card and 1 microSD card. The reader attaches via a short USB-C cable, and the whole thing can be encased in a rubber-coated container and attached by a carabiner clip. This is great for a camera and shooting in the field, or just for carrying data or extra SIM cards daily.Very neat combination and what feels like very solid construction.Ruler for scale.
The case comes with a metal carabiner to attach to the side grip of the handle. The case is enclosed in a thick rubber sleeve for added protection. A tray slides out to reveal the slots to hold the SD cards in place. The card reader has two slots for micro and full sized SD cards built into the side of the tray. The usb-c cable is also built into the case, and is unrolled off to one side so that it may be plugged into a computer. The storage case is a great travel companion for having the card reader built into the case.
The case is solid, has a lot of grip. The reader is pretty fast and can read one sd and one microsd card simultaneously. The slots have nice grip as well so the cards won't slip. The only thing i would have liked is for the case to open a few millimeters more so it's easier to use the usb c cable. Very good reader overall.
