It is faster, more powerful (with its 2300W power), and dries up my hair quickly without damaging it. It has Thermo Shield technology that gives ultimate heat protection to your hair. I always have my doubts about affordable hair dryers till I tried Philips series 5000 hair care. It does its job well, quick and better than other brands in this price range. I am amazed by the powerful blower from the hair dryer, and my hair is dried faster than my regular hair dryer. My hair feels a lot smoother, and shinner after drying. It does its job and that's what matters.

I consider the Philips 5000 Series Hair Dryer BHD512/00 2300 W a nice medium- quality hair dryer.the weight of the object is light which facilitates its use and handling during drying.It has 3 temperature modes which is also very convenient when regulating and not damaging the hair.What I like the most about the dryer is the power, it has a very good and quite professional drying power.The design is modern and elegant.If I had to change something it would be the part of the nozzle, it could be something more closed to help a better straightening, but thanks to its power it is not necessary.

i am now always focus on 5000 series product.this is the best hair dryer i had been used, it has all the function that i need.1. strong blower2. fast switching between hot or cold airQuality result, hair remain soft after dry.
The fan is powerful and meets the requirement and purpose for the purchase. However, the position of the buttons (switches) on the handle portion often gets in the way and easily activate or deactivate the function, especially when the top part of thr dryer is a bit heavy.
The product does what it claims and does it really well, drying power is quiet good and the fast blower button is quiet good you can use it as and when you want. It’s a little big for travel purposes but otherwise it’s quiet good and reliable.

Design and color of the hair dryer is quite nice. Although it dries my hairs fast without any heat damage, it doesn't blow-dry to my hairs as short as my old blow-drier. It has 3 heat levels and 2-speed settings. I had to get used to the buttons. When I hold it in my palm, I realized that I push the fan button by mistake. I'd like it more if that button would be sliding. Overall it is a decent hair dryer for ones who wants fast drying hairs without any damage.
