After much research and deliberation and reading endless reviews, I decided to give this air purifier a try. We have a very large open plan area and this was one of very few, IN STOCK, in Aus, that covers a large area. Because hubby works a shift and has to shut the bedroom off, I decided to purchase two. I AM SO GLAD THAT I DID! I have struggled with a snuffly nose for YEARS. Within about 30 minutes, I thought that I was imagining that I could breathe better but after two days of NO snuffly nose, I am convinced! It is easy to run and easy to connect. This Philips Air Purifier Series 3000 is excellent.I have suffered from rhinitis since I was a child and I have many allergies. This purifier really helped me with my hayfever and allergies and my symptoms have improved a lot since I started using this. This has been a great addition to my household! I’ve got it currently in my kitchen and it’s been amazing for removing lingering odours from cooking and stinky nappies. I was relying heavily on air fresheners before which only work temporarily and aren’t great to be using a lot around young kids, but I haven’t needed these at all as a couple of minutes in turbo mode seems to do the trick!Although the air purifier is quite large, it fits in well with my decor as it is quite a neutral light grey colour. It’s also been very helpful with smoke: my mother is a smoker and the air purifier gets rid of the smell really fast, it helps us not to breathe passive smoke and at the same time our clothes don’t smell of smoke.
Purchased from Amazon with a fantastic discount. Setting up is very straight forward, thanks to the packaging and easy to follow instructions. Linking purifier with phone is also an easy process, it's plain to see Philips has put a lot of thought into this app. I've set mine to Auto during the day and at 21:30 to 07:00 it's in night mode, which means it's whisper quiet and no indicator lights. This is my first air purifier so I can't compare, but what I can say is within 7 minutes it's transformed the air into the cleanest air you could only replicate if you went to the Snowy mountains.
This is the best looking purifier that blends in nicely with my lounge instead of the usual ugly white, which is why I chose it. However I'm not convinced of the accuracy. Simply increasing or decreasing the fan speed suddenly drastically changes the readings of air quality on the display, which doesn't make any sense. Also there is a child lock, but it only works for stopping kids from touching when it is on. Child Lock doesn't work when it's off which is annoying because my 2 year old is constantly turning my unit on when I don't want/need it on.
Hay fever has long been a dreadful season for this household. A friend suggested purchasing an air purifier as a good method of keeping the house easier to breathe within.In the months since it has been in the house we have noticed that we just don't get hay fever any more. Such a relief and it only took a couple of weeks to improve our health.The machine is placed between the lounge and our bedroom and the dust layer in both (we live on red gravel - very dusty) has become a lot less.We can highly recommend our air purifier.
This is good powerful air purifier which gets the job done, and looks good.The display is excellent and it reacts to changes in air quality.I normally leave it on Auto, unless there's a reason to quickly clean the air (eg after vacuuming) in which case I use Turbo which of course is the loudest setting. Night setting is really dead quiet (quieter than the 1000 and 800 models which I also have for smaller rooms).The one drawback is no roller wheels to move it around easily.
