I absolutely love this iron. It was packaged really well, and is such a gorgeous colour. Is it blue and copper or purple and rose gold? I'm still not completely sure but it is gorgeous. It irons really well, gets creases out easily on many different fabrics and automatically determines the correct heat setting to use. I really like the removable section to collect deposits from hard water, it does not need to be filled with special water like some irons. It is not light but not too heavy. It has enough weight that it sits well on the fabric but moves very smoothly on fabric. The only thing I dislike about this iron is that there isn't an easy place to wrap the cord around for storage. I just end up leaving the cord loose, whereas usually I like to wrap the cord ... MoreI absolutely love this iron. It was packaged really well, and is such a gorgeous colour. An avid follower of the Philips Azure range - I thought perhaps I may consider it not much better than my existing iron, and then... wow! The idea of intelligent thermostat that automatically sets the temperature without burning your fabrics? Yes, it really does this. The steam is very powerful for both vertical and horizontally. Great if something on a hanger that needs a quick blast of steam. The water needs refilling regularly but not an issue. If you need more time for other things in your life buy this-I don't believe you will be disappointed. It really makes ironing much less or a chore! I look forward to your review once you have tried this.

This is perfect. The Azur has a vertical steam function too, so you can just hang your clothes on a hanger and use the iron that way, it's great for doing things like curtains or anything that needs refreshing. It also gives out a, strong burst of steam when you need it on thicker clothing as it has 3000w of power and is no burn guaranteed.I found on thinner items of clothing I'd only need to iron one side of the item and didn't need to iron the reverse which is a great time saver. The only thing I will say is this iron does make a lot of steam so I had to open my windows as they would steam up while using it.If you're like me and have a lot of ironing and need to get it done fast and not waste hours doing it, this is the iron for you. It's the best iron I've ever owned to be honest. I love it, it's cut my ironing time down by half!

From unboxing I could tell this is a really high quality product, it looks stylish- the gold trim especially and it’s sleek design. I used the iron the traditional way to start, plowing through our large load of ironing with ease. The intelligent automatic steam feature meaning I didn’t have to worry about messing with settings. For me this is the most positive thing about this, it makes the task of ironing seem a lot less daunting. I felt confident when using this iron, there was no fear of burns and the sole plate glided with ease over all different fabrics. We are enjoying the Azur 8000 iron so far! While it already generates steam it has an easy reach button allowing you to generate extra steam when needed for tougher creases. It’s a good size, achieves a nice clean press across different fabrics. The tip is quite pronounced allowing you to get to those harder to reach places when ironing tricker garments. The iron itself looks good, it is a decent weight, this is not a light iron but it is not overly heavy that it makes it ironing cumbersome which is key when you’re doing several loads across the week. Cleaning the limescale out is super easy with a button to release the limescale-y water, tip it out and done. The reservoir opens fully allowing you to get your jug of water or tap in place to fill it up and avoid ... MoreWe are enjoying the Azur 8000 iron so far! It has different temperature settings which you can easily change to suit whatever garment you are ironing which is very handy. We especially love with the steam you can also iron vertically with the item still on a hanger. We like this iron!
As someone who dreads ironing due to the time and the fear of ruining clothes this iron has changed my laundry routine for the better! The iron glides over whatever you are ironing with ease cutting your workload in half. The auto steam setting is perfect, saving the need to change dials and temperatures constantly. The vertical steam option prevents the need for a separate handheld feature perfect for touching up those garments that are on the hanger or curtains that need a quick de-crease! Living in a busy household it can be easy to forget to switch off the iron but with the auto off setting the iron quickly turns off after 8 minutes in activity, helping give me peace of mind. I love my new iron, it it perfect. I am very impressed with it. I don’t think I can say a bad word about it’s features. It was lacking a clear user’s manual but other then that it’s just great. It works brilliantly, you don’t need to adjust the temperature as everything is set automatically, you don’t have to change settings depending on fabrics as it adjust itself. Have been ironing lots of different materials and didn’t have a problem. Even my 11year old son have been using it and he didn’t have any accidents, where with my previous iron, he burnt few clothes. This iron has a very long cord and that makes ironing easier as you don’t need to be close to socket in order to use it. It cut my ironing time by at least a quarter if not by half. The first thing you will notice when you get this iron is how light it is. It's looks good, with an LED display and streamline shape. At first I was apprehensive at how something so lightweight and smooth would iron out deep creases. However, the iron heats up very quickly and produces a lot of steam, which makes light work of deep creases. The photo attached is of a pair of new trousers. The creases were deeply set in but it only took one go for the iron to get them out. I also really like the vertical steaming function. I frequently use this to quickly give clothes a freshen up that aren't creased enough to get the ironing board out, but i still want that crisp, 'just-ironed' look. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Azur 800 Series. You will definitely ... MoreThe first thing you will notice when you get this iron is how light it is. This iron has controls for the steam but not for the temperature. By some technological magic it adjusts itself to the right temperature for the fabric. I still haven't worked out how it does it!It's quite heavy, but the combination of the weight and the way it glides along on a gentle bed of steam (you get a nice burbling sensation in your hand as it pushes out steam) makes ironing very efficient. The instructions are pictorial rather than written and I had to study them several times before I felt I understood how to adjust the steam and how to do the regular de-calc. But once you've mastered that it's very simple and straightforward. The solidity of the iron makes me hope that it will be long-lasting. It's not a cheap iron so I'll be disappointed if it isn't.
I went back and forth with a large steam iron and this. I was worried about the iron being too heavy and needing constant filling however neither have been an issue. I hadn't realised a large full steam iron can take so long to warm up, I like to iron things on the go and this is just perfect for this. It heats up as quickly as a normal iron but gets the job done so quickly.I've had full skirts and maxi dresses I've not worn for ages because I couldn't face previously ironing them and now I actually enjoy it because it's so satisfying. The steam is powerful and so easy, I love that you can't burn anything. I have had mine for 4m now. I use bottled water and no problems or build up. I did invest in a new steam ironing board cover but I'm not sure that was necessary
