I have to admit I've bought cheaper no-name versions from a large online retailer and did NOT have the same results as this one. The main difference is with the cheap no-name versions, I had to pass over the area multiple times which led to facial irritation. This hair remover was a lot more effective at getting those little hairs around my mustache and eye area for smooth makeup application, with way less irritation. I would love it if it were rechargable, but I'm glad it works well.
This facial hair remover is very lightweight, sleek, and portable (battery operated, just one). It's designed for fine hair removal I guess that's way it's not very strong and it doesn't remove thicker hair on the face, making it less useful. It's quiet and comes with an LED light on the head. The lid is hard for me to remove or open to clean after usage due to the lack of gripping design. Nipping can happen, so one still has to be careful. It's definitely not comparable to a real razor, not built for that purpose.

I received my facial hair remover 5000 and just jump to try it! I have been battling with some hormonal issues and they give me a mustache which I tried to take away with creams and bleach but it just irritates my face and looked worse. I was hoping for better results from this hair remover. It did the job but I expected more of a “plucking” or epilator type of hair removal- not just a “shaving” type of hair removal. This is definitely compact and easy to use, it leaves your skin feeling soft and smooth but it gives the same results as a dermaplane wand (which is even more compact).The head of this does help for small areas like the upper lip and sides of the face. The light is a nice feature that helps show the area that you’re working on. It says about the “built in mirror” but it’s so tiny you can barely see anything on it.
