I've given this appliance five stars as I like everything about it. Its well built, compact, nice design, easy to use and quiet.I am obsessed about quality and safety and I have seen some other air fryers that made me reluctant to buy an air fryer as I felt that they were of poor quality and even hazardous, but this one is of fantastic quality, construction and design. I've used it to cook losts of things, such as meatballs, steaks, chops, Salmon, Wild Mushrooms, roasted Veg, Chestnuts... even a chicken, but my favourite is trying potatoes in several ways. We no longer need to get frozen chips as real fresh chips made in this air Fryer are so good!. Overall it saves us energy by not putting the oven on and cooks things in half the time. Every home should have one.One or two things could be better, but they are not show stoppers and this is more down to Philips. 1) Wireless app. I can't get it to work and I work in IT! 2) Lack of accessories, especially something that can help me divide the basket into two areas to cook two types of food at the same time. As I said, not show stoppers. Already a couple of people I know have bought the same after they've sampled food cooked by me in the Air Fryer.

I absolutely loved all aspects of this airfryer. The look is very sleek and modern and goes with most kitchen designs. All of the foods I cooked in the airfryer came out brilliantly, I must say actually better than using my conventional oven. All piping hot throughout and nice and golden and crispy on the outside. You do have to give tray a shake every few minutes if you're cooking chips for example to make sure they're all evenly cooked but this is extremely easy to do. I even reheated some sausage rolls and they came out like they were freshly cooked. The WiFi function is fantastic, so many recipes on the app to help you make the most out of your airfryer. This airfryer has been a fantastic addition to my kitchen and cooks so much quicker thus saving time and money on energy. I also really love the fact that you have to set a time and it counts down to finish, a real bonus as my teenagers quite often used to forget to turn the oven off when cooking themselves so with this airfryer I don't have that problem anymore. Really can't recommend enough, especially to families with teenagers who you can trust to cook for themselves. The only small problem I had was when setting the cooking time and temperature on the actual airfryer was the buttons aren't that touch sensitive so sometimes would have to press multiple times. Didn't have this problem in the app though, the app was so easy to use.

It can be quite easy to over fill the cooking basket as it is deceiving how large the basket actually is.This air fryer has the added benefit of having built in Wi-Fi and a smart device app which gives you power at your fingertip. The NutriU App includes loads of healthy recipes to follow, so you can just put the ingredients together load up the air fryer and set it to start cooking straight from your phone or smart device (or from the touch screen controls). You can also monitor how much time is left for cooking and adjust the temperature if required from the app. Air fryer is also Alexa enabled.Overall the product is great and does what it has been designed to do, it ticks all the boxes for me in terms of being able to cook for a large family, producing healthy air fried food quickly and efficiently. With the added benefits of Wi-Fi capabilities and large library of healthy recipes that are easy to prepare and cook straight from the palm of your hands.

I also have a Ninja airfryer, and had experiences of using other brands (on a catering business capacity). I feel this Philips airfryer met all my needs at home. It is a large size fryer but the actual appliance is not overly huge. The style is very nice and the touch control is effective. We also have an app that can control temperature, cook duration and have a notification alarm for when it is ready. My family found this airfryer quieter than compared to Ninja's one. I have only used 1/4 of it's functionality but has already made me feel like I have made the right purchase. I mean Philips were the original producer of the airfryer and this gives me confidence of owning one. John Lewis placed this item on promotion and I bought it at a good price. No French Fries For Me!
22 September 2023

I purchased this air fryer because everyone told me what an amazing invention this was and I “had” to get one. I have a big family so I needed one with room to accommodate a few portions. This seemed like a perfect choice. It arrived without any operating instructions. The little pamphlet said to download the app for all my cooking needs. I was not happy about that as I had to create passwords and user names, but I did because my family was waiting for some French fries. 30 minutes later, I still can’t find any operational instructions. The app does have a number of recipes, but the instructions are nowhere to be found. I had to find a tutorial video on utube, but it didn’t really explain much. I have only had the fryer for a few days and I am very impressed. A kilo of drums sticks on the preset menu came out with crispy skin and the meat was very moist and tender and was cooked perfectly. I also tried chicken strips and onion rings, which also cooked perfectly. So if you are looking for an amazing air fryer, you can't go past this model.I was concerned about the noise level as some air fryers have been reviewed as noisy. I place it beside my kitchen exhaust fan, and when running the exhaust fan on the lowest speed, the exhaust fan was much louder than this fryer. So noise wise, there are no issues and is a very quiet unit.I cannot rate this model high enough, and unlike most, it has the best warranty, being 2 years, for peace of mind.

Quick, tasty, healthy and energy efficient cooking

This is the first airfryer I have owned and I was not disappointed. I quickly realised although it is called a fryer it can fry, bake and roast and probably more I have not discovered yet!I have cooked a range of food in the air fryer which has tasted great and used much less power than if we have cooked it in the oven or in a pan.Chips were first which had great texture and taste, cook with just a tiny bit of oil so were healthy too - so much better than oven chips and much cheaper and healthier than a trip to the chip shop!It roasts a whole chicken in less than 1 hour and it came out moist and crispy skin - perfect! No need to cover with foil and remove part way through as I would do with the oven, I just stuck it in for 60 minutes at 180c – job done! All ... MoreThis is the first airfryer I have owned and I was not disappointed. It does send reminders to the phone when things need shaking or about to finish which is handy when not in kitchen. I suppose you could use the app to turn on the fryer while out the house if you left food ready to be cooked, but not sure we would!I suffer from a gluten intolerance and the app allowed me to filter to the recipes suitable for me.Very easy to clean too. Just fill with hot soapy water after use and it all wipes clean in seconds.

Rubbish Product
13 February 2024

Rubbish product...The semi touch screen is ridiculously cheap. Never registers input... So cheap and nasty, ruins the whole experience(a dial would have been 10x better option)Dehydrating temperature setting is far too high to actually dehydrate food.Doesn't give shake / turn reminders... (How can that be missing? LOL)Wi-Fi connectivity only allows for alexa... Why have a feature that is only supported by half the market? FAIL.Rapid Air Technology... Ha ha ha ha ha ha... I bet no competitors are after that tech.... Ha ha ha (tech is a very very loose term)Poor quality. Mine died after 2 days use... So I've managed to dodge a bullet and for that I am thankful.
