An Innovative & Ingenious Answer To A Clean Mouth!

An added bonus...you can sync and pair this power toothbrush with Philips' app on your smartphone to give you a smart toothbrush that will provide you with updates on your progress/results after each cleaning! I've been using this power toothbrush for about three weeks now and the results are remarkable in how well it actually cleans, not to mention how great my teeth look! The Philips Sonicare 7300 ExpertClean Power Toothbrush gets 'Straight A's Across The Board' for Design & Performance! We've come so far with 'at home' dental care and this power toothbrush from Philips is a perfect example of why! It has bells and whistles, yes, but just what you need to focus on excellent cleaning and care for your mouth, as well as keeping you in the know! What's not to love about that?!!! Best toothbrush experience I've ever had

I recently received the Philips ExpertClean 7300 for free as part of a product test. I have used electric toothbrushes before so was openminded to trying this out, hopefully it would be better than what I've used before. After three weeks of use, I feel like I can say this is the best toothbrush I've ever used. There's several reasons for this. This is the first toothbrush I've had that works with an app. This made the brushing experience more than just a mundane process, I could open up the app when bored at work and see areas I need to work on to help improve my smile, or gums. Getting personalized feedback based on my brushing habits is something I never knew I needed or wanted. Getting personalized feedback based on my brushing habits is something I never knew I needed or wanted. I think this makes this something that would be great for anyone wanting to improve how they brush. I could also see this being good for younger brushers, helping them learn good technique and habits early. But outside of the app, this is a solid toothbrush. I think in the three weeks, I only need to charge the brush once, so you get long battery life. You get a nice travel case which I've already used once on a short business trip. My work colleague was curious about my new brush, as it has a "sexy" black color (his words lol). I do agree that the look is unique and even though it doesn't quite fit in my bathroom based on the color, I think it's the coolest looking brush I've used. The box says you can get 7x healthier gums in just 2 weeks. I don't know if that's totally true, but I can say that I think my gums do feel and look better since I've started using this brush. This is partially due to using the helpful app and the multiple brushing modes and intensity settings. Some brushing sessions, I concentrate on gum health and others I go for a deep clean. I'm looking forward to continuing to use this brush and get better with the app's help. I also think this would be a great gift for younger brushers who need some guidance/technique help, as this cool brush will also probably make brushing more fun in general for them.

My original Sonicare had signalled four 30-second intervals during the programmed 2-minute brushing sequence (30-seconds of brushing over 4-quadrants). My new Sonicare signals six 20-second brushing intervals during the 2-minute brushing sequence (3-upper and 3-lower brushing zones). It's my interpretation that this subtle change by Philips, actually allows for a more thorough brushing experience. While I've been duly impressed by my new toothbrush, I've been THOROUGHLY DISAPPOINTED by the performance of each of the two brush heads which were included in the packaging of my new toothbrush. Both brush heads were of the "advanced design" type. Owing to the revised design of these "advanced" brush heads, I quickly discovered that they are anything but "robust". When manufactured, the bristles of these advanced brush heads are inserted into the brush head as a series of "bristle clusters". Each cluster is set into a "white socket" that is pushed-into the brush head. After 1-week of brushing with the first-of-2 "included" advanced brush heads, I had a bristle cluster socket fall out of the brush head, into my mouth, while brushing. As a result, I called Philips Customer Service to advise of my experience. During my first contact, the Philips Customer Service representative advised me to discontinue use of the failed toothbrush head. He further advised me that his supervisor would follow-up with me, by email, within a week. I had received no feedback after 4-weeks, which prompted me to place another call to Philips Customer Service. By this time I had used the second-of-2 "advanced" brush heads that had been included in my new tooth brush's packaging. Within a couple of days of use, this second brush head had failed in an identical manner to that of the first failed brush head -- a 'bristle cluster socket' had fallen out of the brush head, into my mouth while brushing. During my second contact with Philips Customer Service, the Philips representative discovered the notes from my original telephone contact and apologized profusely, for my case having apparently 'fallen through the cracks'. The Philips representative went on to explain that she had further-escalated my case, such that I would hear back from her supervisor within 24-to-48 hours of my second contact. A week has passed by now and I have yet to receive any form of acknowledgement from anyone associated with Philips Customer Service. INSTEAD, on this date I have received an email from Philips requesting that I rate my recent purchase of my new Sonicare toothbrush. That emailed request from Philips has prompted this review. If it hadn't been for the **Atrociously Poor Quality** of the brush heads included in my new brush's packaging, I certainly would have committed to a toothbrush rating of "5 STARS". In light of the **Atrociously Poor Quality** of the "advanced" brush heads, I can only provide a rating of "3 STARS". (I was tempted to deliver a "2-STAR rating!) Once (....IF !!) I have been contacted by Philips Customer Service, it's my plan to follow-up this review with an "update" of the situation. Stay tuned... **NOTE: This review which I originally delivered to Philips Customer Service in response to their emailed request for my review, included two photos which illustrated the failure of both "advanced" brush heads which had been included in my new toothbrush's packaging. To date, Philips' Customer Service has been deplorable!!

Great brushing session with same Sonicare quirks
5 September 2019

The Philips ExpertClean 7300 has been a solid replacement for my Healthy White+ Sonicare brush, and I definitely think it is providing the best clean feeling I've had in my mouth yet from an electric toothbrush. With this toothbrush, I really enjoyed the brush head and how much coverage I felt it provided... it just feels like it is getting into the gums and between my teeth very well. I have an overall excellent clean feeling afterwards (and what more can you ask for out of a toothbrush). There are a number of modes to use, each stating that they provide a certain cleaning benefit, but for me, they just felt too long outside of the first setting. If you're down with cleaning your teeth that much longer, then go for it, but after using the 'gum health' setting for a week, I didn't notice any discernible difference from the original setting. As with all Sonicare brushes, the battery life is outstanding and the simplicity of using the brush is top-notch (though there still is the issue of switching between brushing modes with this series of brush that I simply cannot figure out the simple way to switch between the modes... it happens on accident). The build quality and weight of the brush are both excellent, and as stated above, the brush head is great! My only other con with this device, other than mode switching, is the pressure sensitivity adjustment; I just feel like it adjusts the brushing pattern too much and begins to not get those areas of my teeth as clean as they should be - like I have to go over them again. Note: I was provided the product free of charge as part of a product test.

Great toothbrush but heinous battery life
10 February 2022

My teeth feel great after brushing with the new 7300, versus my old sonicare. I enjoy the three different modes, but the problem for me is the horrible battery life. My toothbrush cannot last two full days. Thankfully I still have my old sonicare for trips. I have tried charging it for 48 hours straight, and still get the same horrible battery life. I have gone everywhere online trying to find different ways to reset it, nothing works. I have contacted Philips but they cannot do anything for me since they have no replacements to send me. What is the point in having a 1 year warranty, if the warranty cannot be used?

Mechanically unsound
13 February 2023

Something between the motor and the shaft breaks and the handle rattles and is extremely loud. I do not add any more pressure than normal. I've gone through 3 of these now; initially received as a gift lasted almost 2 years so just under the 24 month warranty. Phillips/Encompass replaced it and second one lasted 1 year, had to argue to get a third one which lasted 5 months. The more "new and improved" versions all got progressively worse. Offered to send all three back so engineers could see this consistent issue to adjust their design but they didn't care to take them back. They need to stop adding fancy Bluetooth apps and brushing modes and get the basic mechanical kinks worked out first. For a $200 toothbrush I expected much more. I DO NOT recommend this product.

Product is nice but still suffers from old issues
17 January 2023

This is my 4th or 5th Philips toothbrush. They all have the same issues. The turn on/off button stops working. Leds die in about a year or two. The performance decreases after some time. With the last purchase the on/off button stopped working after less than a month of normal usage… if the issues were new I could understand but those are 5years old issue at least. And with the price tag is unacceptable! Otherwise when it works, the product delivers good results.

SO DISAPPOINTED!!!
23 June 2022

Obviously I am a Sonic customer, and have been for a long time. I bought three of the new, sleek black toothbrushes ( on the left) with carrying cases for my husband and sons for Christmas. The black toothbrush will not even turn on now AND the metal rod that holds the brush is loose. I am so disappointed! I cannot find my receipt and I don't want to go through the hassle of packing everything up and trying to fight the clerk on returning a used item. I have never had any issues with Sonic before and never minded paying the high prices, but the ExpertClean is sending me to Colgate or Oral B!

Super Dentist-Like Clean
3 September 2019

I've been in love with my original Sonicare DiamondClean for years but, it's a bit antiquated and I wanted to check out the "Smart" features of the newer lines of Sonicare brushes. I'm extremely happy I did. I get a superior clean with the Deep Clean setting, similar to a professional dental cleaning. My teeth are staying cleaner with no buildup much longer, in trouble areas. Also, I've often worried about my brushing pressure and I love that I have a report I can check that tells me I'm doing well. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure how much I'd actually use the app because I don't need help with remembering to brush 2X a day but the pressure sensor truly gives me peace of mind. The app also tells you how many quality brushing sessions you have left before you need ... MoreI've been in love with my original Sonicare DiamondClean for years but, it's a bit antiquated and I wanted to check out the "Smart" features of the newer lines of Sonicare brushes. I'm extremely happy I did. I get a superior clean with the Deep Clean setting, similar to a professional dental cleaning. My teeth are staying cleaner with no buildup much longer, in trouble areas. The app also tells you how many quality brushing sessions you have left before you need to replace your brush head. There are many great features within the app such as the ability to order new brush heads, and a few premium services with which you are able to consult with an actual dentist about your needs and concerns. There are 3 different care packages to choose from with varying degrees of care and brnefits. Currently, I have dental coverage and no concerns so it's not something that I'm going to use but it's it's a nice feature to have, otherwise. I also really love the new brush heads that came with this brush especially the C3 which features a rubberized bumper around its edges to protect surrounding teeth. My only slight gripe is that I adore my Diamondclean charging glass. I think it looks classy and doesn't scream "toothbrush charger" on your sink top. The ExpertClean is not compatible with the charging glass and it needs its own traditional charging base, although it's relatively small. I'm also not used to having a black toothbrush, coming from my beautiful baby pink DiamondClean but, the cleaning power is exponentially superior. There are a few less settings than the DiamondClean but Deep Clean was the most important for me and ExpertClean has it. Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the advancements that have been made to Sonicare's line of Smart brushes and look forward to what advancements will come in the future of dental care.

Very, very long lasting
2 December 2021

I received the very first version of the professional clean Sonicare with the UV Sanitizer when I was a practicing dental hygienist and while I was on the board of our provincial and federal association boards which probably goes back to 2003 or so. I used this brush faithfully up until finally gave up in Feb 2021. I loved the whole mouth clean feel it gave and the ease in use. In our office we did offer competitor brands and I did try them but always preferred my Sonicare and recommended it over the others to my patients. The fit in your hand makes it really easy to maneuver the brush to all areas of the mouth. The initial power ramp up is a great feature to ease into the feel of the vibration of the brush while it works. with the proper technique, the brush heads ... MoreI received the very first version of the professional clean Sonicare with the UV Sanitizer when I was a practicing dental hygienist and while I was on the board of our provincial and federal association boards which probably goes back to 2003 or so. The different power levels and brushing time options were nice for those times you just wanted a quick touch up. Just for clarification, my version did not have an 'app' as it was before the time!
