There's many cutting depths to choose from, I have a stubbly beard and I put it on 5.8 with the shave guard on and it delivers the perfect shave. It doesn't leave patches like other shavers I've used in the past. I've had this product since November 2022 and have only charged it twice since new. I shave once every four days so the battery lasts forever. It says to rinse under a running tap and to oil the blade regularly - I have NOT done either yet as the little brush your supplied with is enough to clean it after each shave in my opinion and the blade is still good without the need for the lubrication fluid.

This is one of the first items that I have used that feels cheap but works really really well. The built quality is subpar, the base of the product feels like I would dent it if I squeezed hard enough but otherwise it work really good as a trimmer. The length adjustments are the best I have ever used, you can fade your beard in without the need of a professional. This little guy is excellent for creating lines/curves and designing your beard.I have yet to snag any hairs and the battery holds a really nice charge. I would say my only complaint is that the initial charging took forever and it doesn't get a super close cut if you're trying to removal all of your facial hair.

It is easy to change the trim level on this beard trimmer which is via the dial in the centre section of the device. The weight is perfect for weighting the blade against the skin as well as not being too heavy on the hand/wrist even those that suffer from tendentious (like me!)I also found the on/off lock function protects the trimmer from accidentally being turned on within the travel pouch thus saving the battery. The charging time is also very quick but as this is a new product it may decrease over time whilst the battery life is reduced - time will tell.Overall it is a very stylish trimmer and has a premium feel. It is worth the price as it's something which will last quite a long time from the solid design.
This is clearly a very well made product which you can feel the moment you pick it up. It gives an even and very smooth trim without any snagging whatsoever.There are a couple of issues however. Firstly, the increments in length ar 0.2mm which is perfect, until for some strange reason, it jumps from 2mm to 2.5mm. This doesn’t sound like much but for my beard one is just too short, the other just too long, although i appreciate this will not be an issue for the vast majority of people.My other issue appears to be standard with beard trimmers, and that is when it comes to finishing the edges of your beard. If you want to take your time you can; one charge lasts a hour or more. There's a 3 bar remaining charge indicator and you get full power until the charge in spent. You can plug in and carry on trimming as the battery charges. The operating sound is low and steady. The whole apparatus is a good looking piece of metal. Recommended.
I've used other brands in the past, replacing them every six or so months. They were not as expensive as the 9000 Prestige, but then again they were not of the prestige calibre. This beard trimmer, by Philips, is by far the best beard trimmer I have used so far.It feels premium in your hands, with a sleek, metallic body and a solid weight behind it.It doesn't feel flimsy to use and the motor inside is POWERFUL.It glides along the surface of my skin, and devours the beard hair like a combine harvester cutting through wheat. It's effortless.I also use it for my chest hair which it has no trouble with at all.It's a pleasure to use and I am thoroughly happy with this purchase.I would highly recommend.

When you’re trimming your beard, as in the 2nd photo, the blade faces up and that flat plate needs to be flat against your skin (I don’t know how this works if you have a long beard, I keep mine short). When it’s time to define your beard and you want sharp lines on the top and the bottom, you need to do 2 things. First, set the length at lowest, 0.04. Then, with the blade facing down (3rd picture), define the edges of your beard with that flat plate, again, against your skin.
