Obviously, I cannot return the blades because I didn’t discover this incompatibility until after I opened the package and attempted to use them — thanks to the lack of any notice or warning on the packaging that these replacement blades are incompatible with prior models. I’m going to assume most retailers have stopped, or will stop, selling the standard replacement blades and only stock the new 360 blades. So get ready people: you can either buy a new 360 One Blade handle for $30 and a 360 Face+Body Kit for $20, or attempt to order the old style blades online and hope the seller doesn’t send you the new, predominant 360 blades — erroneously thinking replacement 360 blades are interchangeable.

[Rewarded Review] A great improvement

I have to admit, the new 360 blades are not what I expected. I thought they would spin like a propeller allowing you to turn them parallel to the handle to shave in harder to reach areas or easier to handle. This is not the case. The 360 blades now have a “floating” design. They remain perpendicular to the handle but now float both back and forth as well as side to side - making it easier to follow the contours of the shaving surface. While it appears the actual blade design hasn’t changed, the new 360 blades seemed to give me a closer shave since the floating design makes it easier for them to stay flat against your skin. I also find that while the OneBlades are designed to both shave and trim, using them to trim my beard works just fine, the blades are not as aggressive or effective as my Norelco clippers. It does make traveling easier though, only packing one device rather than two.Another nice thing with the 360 blades is they are backwards compatible. You don’t need to upgrade your shaving handle or trimming guards to use these.Overall I am impressed with the new design and recommend it to anyone who uses any of the OneBlade devices.

[Rewarded Review] Better design, but still brittle!
26 September 2024

When I needed blade refills last year, I found out the blade design was exclusively changed to this “360” design which I was thankful for as the previous design was very (and I mean VERY) brittle. Any slight bump or heaven forbid a drop and you can kiss that blade cartridge goodbye. I will say this design is an improvement on the previous generation, but these are still made of brittle plastic in the areas where it truly counts. While I have dropped these while clicked into the unit a few times, the revised style can usually be re-assembled if it seperates apart for re-use until the blade expires. However, that is not always the case. However, that is not always the case. The lowest part of the two half-moon shaped side pieces notch into the blade itself with tiny little pegs, and in most every instance these pegs break if impacted even the slightest. What good is being able to have a reassemblable blade if the plastic attachment points break? I wish I could get 4 months use out of one blade. In what real-world environment were those time frames determined? My 3 pack didnt even last 6 months because when accidents happen (and they DO happen) the blades are rendered useless. This would have been a 4 star rating, but because like their predecessor these break all too easily, that rating was lowered to 3. Philips is slowly getting there with their oneblade cartridges and hopefully the inevitable replacement is an improvement in these areas.

The price is right for two blades that lasts essentially as long if not longer as a multi pack of traditional razor blades (up to two months) depending on use.The Blades are very sharp but not to the point of easy nicks and cuts. They run smoothly over sensitive areas and give a very close shave. The shave is extremely close but not as close as a straight traditional razor. They cut even coarse hair easily but tend to throw the cut hair freely all over the place.Their is supposedly a blade wear indicator that appears when its time for you to replace the blade but I have yet to wear the blades down enough to see this. I usually replace my blades when I feel them starting to pull at my hair.Great product and great price!

For body hair, using the skin guard makes it easy to really trim back the bushes without having to worry about knicking yourself in any sensitive areas.I also love the fact that it is waterproof and can be used dry, wet, or lathered. This makes trimming certain areas that much easier and helps keep cleanup to a minimum.I have been using this trimmer for a few weeks now and haven't had to change the blades once, although I will probably do that soon. You get a lot of mileage out of each razor and they are a great value given how well they cut. If you use it wet, i would just recommend making sure it is completely dry before storing it to keep the blades fresh and clean.

[Rewarded Review] Necessary replacements for the OneBlade with limts
20 February 2023

It is a little strange to submit a review for these replacement blades as there is not much that can be added given a previous full review of the OneBlade 360 that they are used with. With that being said, if you have a OneBlade and need new blades, these are your only option as far as I know. The nice thing is that each blade comes individually wrapped and they are relatively small, which makes them easy to take with when traveling.Another nice feature (which is also a criticism) is that the blade does not actually make contact with the skin. As a result, it is not possible to have a fully-clean shave; there is always some stubble (albeit very, very short stubble). As a result, it is not possible to have a fully-clean shave; there is always some stubble (albeit very, very short stubble). The stubble is very short, so the face does look clean shaven, but a quick touch of the face will indeed confirm that the skin is not clean shaven. The benefit to this, however, is that it saves your face from razor burn, nicks, and cuts, which is much appreciated. The blades can be used wet or dry and they have a feature that indicates when they are due for replacement. The product documentation states that the replacement pack lasts four months... That sounds great until you realize that is not four months for each blade; it is four months for both, meaning two months per blade. Also, that two months is assuming the blade is used only two to three times per week. When used with guards, I found that the blades clog easy with longer hair (as the hair tends to clump within the guards). Without the guards, however, the blades themselves stay pretty clean (not clogged). If you have a OneBlade and need replacement blades, these are what you need. If you are considering a new purchase, just be aware that these blades are not the same as a razor in that they do not shave as closely and they are also not very good at edging (although they are marketed as such).

[Rewarded Review] The best electric razor I've ever used
5 February 2023

My first use with the OneBlade 360 was straight after a shower (wet shave). I had around 2 weeks of hair growth and I used it to shave parts of my neck and face (tidying up my beard). It cut through the hair very well and was extremely close to matching the closeness of a regular razor blade. As with other electric razors it required going over the same area a number of times. However I found the blades didn't seem to heat up like other electric razors I've used and seemed to glide over my skin a lot better without any irritation. My second usage was to test how well they would shave my head. Again, I had a couple of weeks hair growth (4-5mm), though this time it was a dry shave. Again, I had a couple of weeks hair growth (4-5mm), though this time it was a dry shave. To my surprise it cut through my hair very well, almost as well as my electric clippers but with a much closer shave. This is something I've always struggled doing with other electric razors as they can't seem to cut through longer hair very well.I charged the OneBlade when I received it before the first use. I've used it a few times since then and not had to charge it again yet. A big plus for me is that the battery is lithium so it charges a lot quicker when compared to other types of batteries used in electric razors and clippers. In summary the OneBlade is the best electric razor I've ever used. It is able to cut through head and beard hair at varying lengths without issue, giving the closeness of a regular razor without the risk of cutting or irritation. I will be using this a my primary method of shaving both my head and facial hair. My one issue was that I was unable to match the straightness of my beard lines when using a regular razor (shavette) but this was probably due to the difference in technique and may take some practice.

[Rewarded Review] Useful replacement blades with a twist!
16 February 2023

Let's face it - if you use a trimmer or razer on any sort of regular basis, it will get dull. It's just a fact of life and physics, blades wear down and modern razer blades are nearly impossible to practically sharpen again with their many facets and faces (these blades in particular are very complex, with not just serrated edges on both sides, but coatings on the tip to prevent nicks/smooth the cut and a roughened face that helps to lift hairs - I would not want to try sharpening these)!Fortunately then, Philips Norelco (a trusted name in men's grooming for generations) has designed one of the easiest replacement mechanisms I've seen. The blades STAY on the trimmer very well (these are designed for the OneBlade Pro only) and then easily come off with the press of the release button. Most other blades I've used are either too loose or a fight to get off, so kudos to finding the right mix. As OEM blades, these are just exactly the same as the original blades, which means that have a unique double sided cutting feature (they cut the best at an angle) and coated edges to reduce nicks/irritation. And they really do work, combining with the guards and combs that come with the trimmer to blitz through hair without harming delicate skin! The "twist" mentioned above for these blades is that they can swivel and pivot to an extreme degree not found in other trimmers I've seen - it's really helpful in making sure you get a very even, uniform cut in even hard to reach locations! So if you have the Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro, go with these OEM replacement blades - they're worth it for the smooth, comfortable cut and the no hassle guaranteed fit!
