A well made product and good value for money

Philips products tend to be well made and the OneBlade Pro is no exception. It looks and feels good to hold. I am half Caribbean and so have curly hair which can lead to problems with ingrown hairs if you shave too close. Finding razors/shavers that work for me has not been easy over the years. However, I am pleased to say, that the OneBlade Pro with its adjustable attachment has worked well for me so far. Well done Philips, keep up the good work! 👏

Horrible horrible shaver

Bought a new shaver since my old phillips battery was dead. This is even worse than my 4 year old basic trimmer. The adjustable guard is so depending on the angle that it can never be trusted. You will get patchy spots every time you use it and need to cut it down for it to be even. It came with two blades, both were so dull you need to do the same place 3-6 times to be sure it cut anything. When you try to save it with a close clean shave it irritates the skin a lot and it feels like ingrown hairs will be a problem in the future.Have tried different areas of the body, but even shaving my very light hair on my forearm before a tattoo was hard with this product. It's not precise enought for shorter hair, not powerfull enough for thicker beards or hair. Decent enough results to clean up whiskers on cheek area, causes irritation on the neck where hairs grow in different directions. The body from guard is great though, others I'd return. But disappointed as I brought it as a trimmer for shorter stubble (1.5 - 3mm) but it's not easy to use for this. Firstly, it doesn't edge well at all, the guard design means access under the nose is difficult. The biggest issue though is that for some reason, I get such an uneven trim, at times even seems as though half a stroke is like there no guard at all and the blade takes it all off!! That and it requires many more strokes to trim stubble than previous trimmers, also isn't the best for keeping longer sideburns and hair around ears in check between trips to the hairdresser.

Really handy product
10 January 2024

This OneBlade features a really long-lasting battery - I only charge it every two or three months even though I use it every day. The LCD panel on the front is also very useful to check how much battery is left. The blades last quite a while, and are relatively reasonably priced if you shop around on Amazon, Woolworths, etc. I don't really use the attachments much as I tend to use the product only to "shave," but they have been handy in the past. The quality is very evident - from the attachments to the unit itself. Really makes the morning routine a breeze, and I can't recommend the OneBlade any more!!

I bought this after my old Philips Series 7000 trimmer died. It was only 5 years old and I was a bit disappointed. I have another OneBlade shaver that I bought a couple of years ago - trouble is, that one doesn't have the adjustable trimmer guard (which was what I really liked about the Series 7000) and you can't buy it as an attachment for that handle. Since I already have the heads and the handles are interchangeable, I decided to buy this one to use the adjustable trimmer and just use the heads I already have.It works as well as my other OneBlade (why wouldn't it?), which I tend to use wet with shaving soap to shave my stubble off when it gets longer. OneBlade razors take a little getting used to but they shave as close as any other electric razor (and quite a few blade razors) that I've ever had. All-in-all, a very good purchase.

Having used a safety razor for most of my adult life, I've stayed away from electric razors thinking that would not give a clean enough shave and would be more work. The OneBlade Pro has changed my mind. It has delivered an excellent shave every time without any shaving cream. To really put it through its paces, I grew out my beard for a week and shaved one half with my trusty safety razor, and the other with the OneBlade Pro. In the mirror I couldn't tell the difference, and only my partner could tell, but the difference was pretty marginal. They were happy with both, which makes me happy. The big difference for me though was not having to go through the usual steps to prevent shaving rash - warming my face with a warm towel and using plenty of shaving cream. I could just turn on the OneBlade Pro and start shaving. Even so, in this test I still managed to get some minor skin rash on the side with the safety razor, but was completely clear on the side with the OneBlade Pro.This is a big deal for me, and is the difference between shaving before work vs the night before.Aside from the face, the OneBlade Pro also included some extra attachments for shaving other more sensitive parts. Having used it to shave my chest, I could do this with ease and was a lot less worried about cutting myself unlike with a safety razor.I also really like the inbuilt warning on the razor blade that lets you know when it's time to replace.Battery life is so far really good, and the indicator lights on the front give you a good warning on when to charge. My only complaint is that the plug to charge it is non-standard, so it's one extra cable to keep track of. USB should be standard on all small devices like this. All in all an excellent shaver and one that has really changed my mind on electric razors. It's time to ditch the safety razor :)

[Rewarded Review] Long time user of the OneBlade series.

I've been using the OneBlade series since the very first generation. Before it had even hit Australian shores I managed to buy one out of luck while traveling Europe. I found myself in need of both a beard trim and head shave and nothing else in the grooming aisle came close to the offerings of the OneBlade. The OneBlade Pro now replaces my 5+ year old OneBlade (and it's European charger thankfully...) and has met and exceeded the previous generations capability. The new OneBlade offers extra trimming attachments, far longer battery life, and a more versatile grip for awkward area shaving. In my 5+ years of use I'm yet to experience an in-grown hair that used to plague my face with conventional razors. The only criticism I have of the new vs old is that the old OneBlade's size guard attachment had slightly clearer text/indicators - but I'm willing to excuse that as me just being used to the older system. All-in-all I genuinely cannot imagine my grooming routine without it, I'm also considering eliminating my dedicated head shaver to clear up bathroom storage space as the OneBlade Pro does a far better job overall; admittedly at the cost of time - though with the insane battery life I have all the time in the world!Cannot recommend highly enough!

The sensitive area attachment, body hair grooming attachment and adjustable length attachment all click on to the shaver easily.I used the trimmer with all the attachments attached at one time or another as well as just the bare blade. I have a beard which I trim and neaten weekly and this kit was perfect for that. I could easily set the length I wanted with the adjustable attachment to ensure I didn't trim to short and for edging and stray hairs on my face I used a bare blade. For trimming my chest I used just the bare blade but managed to nick myself through my overzealous use of the trimmer. I suggest taking it slow and steady and ensuring you keep the blade flat against the skin or use one of the skin guards. My issue was I failed to keep the bare blade flat on my skin and as I tilted the blade at an angle and moved the trimmer it managed to push in to my skin rather than slide over it and it pinched and nicked my skin. Totally operator error in this instance and not the unit's fault. It did prove to me the blades are sharp!I also braved shaving my "sensitive" areas with it and after the earlier nick I used the sensitive skin guard and I had no issues at all. After some initial trepidation I found no cause for concern and was able to achieve a close, smooth trim with no issues.Over all this is a very convenient kit to have for all manner of hair trimming and I highly recommend it.If I had to make a criticism it would be the instructions. These are presented as a fold out booklet with pictograms and it is the pictograms I didn't like as they are, for me at least, difficult to follow along with and have them make sense. A very small criticism of an overall fantastic package.Overall I rate the Phillips OneBlade very highly and if you have a beard or body hair that you would like to remove safely and easily then I suggest you take a good look at the One Blade.

It was really easy to use and I’d have to say much easier and faster than using my other shaver as it seemed to take much less time and I didn’t have to go over it as much.Overall I would highly recommend this product to anyone who likes to keep their beard looking fresh and neat or anyone who’s into a bit of man scaling as this is the perfect tool for the job and honestly makes it so much easier as it can do anything you need it to.

Well… the Philips One Blade Pro. I have tried many products over the years to keep the beard trimmed but this is a brilliant product. The design is very well thought out to fit in the hand and the brain just gets on with it, the fixed swan neck, at least for me is the right angle that contouring, trimming and edging just work. The trim guard is the first thing I thought may be a problem as it looks quite big in the box, but once on the trimmer it all comes together nicely and has a solid but easy to use length dial from 0.5mm – 9mm, in 0.5mm steps up to 5mm, where it goes to 7mm and 9mm.There is motor noise when in use, but not enough to cause a concern and given that his is for hair, the motor does a great job without being overwhelmed. Battery life seems to be good at the moment. I use the device for about 10-15 mins twice a week and it is still on the first charge, a 2 hour cycle, 2 months ago. A feature of this device, that I have not tried yet, but in states on the box is it can be used as a wet shaver, with or without foam.A downside could be the costs of the blades, but given a blade lasts approx. 4 months this is something that can be justified and from a safety perspective, they are not bare so do not cut the skin (disclaimer: I have not tried to make them cut) as mentioned above I have used the device for edging which means the trim guard is not used. All in all, I have really grown to like this device and it has replaced the 2 I used to have to get the same result with a plus side, the wife uses this to clean the hair lines when she does my hair as the blade only is so tight and clean finish. One small downside for me, but no fault of Philips, is the device charger only has the 2 prong shaver style plug, which I do not have so had to buy an adaptor, however, given the advantages his device had for me, ease of use, wet or dry, 4 months a blade and the trim guide, overall I am very happy.
