This epilator doesn't grab small - medium hairs and appears to have been designed by someone who has never seen a naked female body. If you are a 2D cartoon character then this will work for you, but if any small part of you curves then it's not going to follow your contours. My hairs aren't short; they are a good few mm and it still doesn't grab them. I've been using an old Philips compact corded epilator that is very loud and aggressive but works and is a lot cheaper. So logic suggests if you pay a lot more you'll get an even better one - but what a fool I was! You'd think a company that's been dealing with hair removal so long could design something that removes hair but instead I get this. I'm genuinely angry that you can sell something so poor for so much and ... I've been using an epilator for years now, but this is such a great upgrade! My previous one needed to be plugged in while using and I really like how this one can be used cordless, and that it's also water resistant in case you prefer to use it in the shower. It has a light which can help you see any fine hairs and it comes with other attachments (shaving head and trimming comb) if you also prefer to use those for different parts of your body. The optimal contact cap is actually super helpful and I think would be beneficial for those just starting out to get used to handling the device for the best hair removal experience. My legs feel so smooth after using this!

I am very happy with the Philips Epilator 8000. This waterproof device is a magical product. It is my first time using it and I am quite impressed with the quality. I think this is a great epilator for beginners considering it was also my first time using it as well. After use on my legs, I found it to be gentle on the skin. I chose this item as I have a corded Phillips epilator, which is basic, but good plus an old wet and dry. This outclassed both. I was fed up of the slowness and burning out of Braun and Reminton's nylon cogs break. I have not been disappointed!!!!!! The battery life on this machine is great, a whole body epilation each time with battery left. It is fast, efficient, the light is a great bonus. Frankly, it waaaaaaay exceeds my expectations!!!!!! Registering the product online meant I got an extra 18 months warranty, now that in itself speaks for itself!!!!!!!! I would recommend this product to anyone who requires a good, reliable epilator. Definitely value for money!!!!!!!
This is the first time I use an electrical epilator and I wasn't sure what to expect.This isn't completely pain free, there is a bit of a sting but it was expected as the hair is being pulled out. I think it is less painful than tweezers and it is quick and easy!! I did try it under my arms and it was a bit more painful than the legs. But, I do have thick coarse hair in my underarms which is why I prefer using the epilator even if it is a bit more painful. I applied the cold compresses afterwards and it helped immensely. I love that it comes with a shaving head & trimming comb so if I ever want to shave instead I can. I also love that it comes with a trimmer head & comb for my bikini area. This is going to be the only tool I use/need to remove my hair and I love ... I finally purchased the Philips 8000 series wet dry and could not be more pleased. This unit holds a charge and is very efficient at removing the hair. The LED light helps to bring into view those hair that like to hide.I have not used all the attachments but have them if I choose to try them out. I love the fact that I can travel with it and really not worry about loosing the charge. Also love that the unit runs at full capacity when on battery power. My previous unit would run without a cord but at a weeker speed.My only slight complaint for this unit is that the handle is very slim, ...
