All my light bulbs are flurescent and energy saver. These are great to have, makes the room pretty bright, and last pretty long before having to be changed out. Great to have and save money on your electricity bill.

Phillips dimmable bulbs are pricey, but they last for many years. I like the fact that I can dim it for watching tv, reading. Etc

We chose cool daylight and it has given the room a lovely clean bright light. We love it. 15 is bright enough if you have more than one light bulb in your fitting
Don't buy this bulb! the tornado glass is so thin (I think less than 1mm), it just broke up into piece with a little force when I was installing. It's definitely not at the same quality level as my previous GE CFL which is robust on both glass and socket. After then I bought a 9W LED bulb. Although it marks 840 lumens, visible brightness is almost the same as CFL's 950 lumens as it marked. So, if you want to buy a bulb to replace your CFL, I would recommend an LED bulb with half watts of CFL. Because the efficiency of LED is much higher than CFL, LED bulb only consumes around half energy of CFL to achieve the same brightness, and you also saves cost and energy!
I bought two around 7 years ago and one went off and on and off and on then finally died all black……..the longest that I have ever had…..simply fantastic.0
I have bought this globe for several years now and I am glad it is back after being told that it was permanently out of production. It gives a noticeably whiter light than a Coles brand competitor even though. that globe claims to put out significantly more lumens
Bought 2 of these during lockdown click and collect for new bedside lamps. One didn’t work...swapped to other lamp, still didn’t work. Was more effort to get a refund than buy another one so didn’t bother with the queues at the return desk after lockdown ended. Bit of a fail really.
I started using Tornado 24 watt in my kitchen. Very bright lights! I am progressively replacing with these in all rooms.
Love these globes, good quality CFLs by Philips, do not give headaches or eye strain like other CFLs and not a magnetic ballast (no noise!). These globes are quite big (see in photo compared to standard halogen) and they should not be used in oyster fixtures but, instead, open light fixtures (for cooling) this should mean that the light globe will last for it's 8000 hours and secondly, not optimal for bathroom (on off) lights this degrades the CFLs. Casts a good bright light in the cool daylight great for night productivity!, And at a great price too. I have had very good experience with there's cfls instead of LEDs and still buy these for my productivity work case. Would recommend.Additional details:CRI of 80advertised as T2 tornadoes but, actually just tornadoes.
