Suitability:okFormulation:okPerformance:okāBlondā turned out much darker than expected - nothing like what was pictured on the box. And my hair had 5 different colors - bleached blond highlights over a brown base, grey and ethnic-Chinese typical almost-black at roots, another grown out brown roots touch up - the dye did even out my hair color quite uniformly, but was a rather dark shade of slightly auburn-cast brown rather than the ashy brown shown on the box.Was a bit irritating to my hyper sensitive scalp too, but most dyes are like that for me, ammonia or not.

I had been using Madison Reed faithfully for four years, but the roots started showing after two weeks. Good Housekeeping listed this hair color as the #1 best overall permanent at-home hair color. I believed it. So I bought two boxes and had high hopes. After one week, my grey roots started showing. ONE WEEK. Iām so disappointed and am back to square one. Phyto was a huge disappointment.
