Pigeon Flexible Peristaltic Teat (LL) 2 Pack

I was impressed with pigeon up until this particular test (6+ month Y Shape) no matter how hard I try to keep the ventilation holes unblocked, they continually do so creating and inverted teat putting my baby off drinking the rest of his bottle. I will be trying to 9 month old round hole asap even though baby is only 7 months.

I love the pigeon range and have used them for both of my babies but this time around these teats are not working well. They collapse easily and the valve is not opening as it should which makes feeding time consuming and frustrating for my little one! She is not ready for the faster flowing teats yet.

We have used these teats for all 3 babies. 2 that went between breastfeeding and bottle and 1 formula fed. All babies have accepted them instantly and they are the best flow rate for my very reflux-y cmpa babies. So soft, durable and easy to use

I bought a bunch of these without realising they were for 6months plus so they have way too fast a flow for my newborn so I can’t really give an honest review. I’m sure they’ll be great for when she’s a bit older so I’ve put them in a ziplock bag to keep until then. I do love the design theory behind the y cut hole.

The Y cut allows 100% flow control. Milk flows only when the baby sucks the teat. No chance of overflow. My baby now grew up to 14 months. still using this Y-cut. we tried the next level which is L size for 9 months. My baby wanted to hold the bottle by herself and with the L size teat whenever she tried to bring the bottle near to her mouth the milk was just sprayed in a straight line out! shooting out! milk was all over her face. She didn't like that. So, we stopped using the L size and moved back to Y-size and still using it.

Placing your confidence in a product can sometimes leave you frustrated and out of pocket. 6month Y teet is exactly that. The previous teets are round, and my son has never had an issue sucking milk out. The 6month teet changes to a Y which my son finds impossible to suck milk out of. Upon investigation, it seems many people have this issue, and have realised the 9month teet goes back to a round hole (??). I recommend saving your money, skip this teet and wait until your baby can have the L. Within two feeds we reverted back to his old teets, and will wait for the L size closer to 9 months. Extremely annoyed as we bought 8 teets, unaware that this was a major issue.

Can't fault Pigeon wide neck teats. My son started on the SS size when he was born and we've worked our way up to the L. He's 3 now and still enjoys a bottle before bed, so I won't be letting go of the bottles until he's ready. Couldn't be happier that my MCHN recommended this brand as the Gold Standard when I wasn't sure which one to buy. It's overwhelming standing in the chemist not knowing. So anyone who isn't sure, buy this brand! :)

I bought 10 of these teats for bub who turned 6 months and they are useless (i have had issues with other teats as well (i have bulk bought the glass bottles that came with the 4m+ teats which were useless too but bought same teat elsewhere with no issues and we have stuck with the 4m+ teat). Nothing comes out baby screaming for milk after trying to feed for 20 mins. Wasted money and time
