Because of how I saw this item in the photos, I believed that the middle section was a metal/metallic center ring; it is not. The center area where the grip meets the body is a translucent plastic window which serves as a way to approximate the ink level, so I see its use. Would have liked to see a wide metal center ring and the eraser topper being the mechanism in which to extend/retract the writing tip. The clip feels chintzy. The branding appears to be in gold or rose gold lettering. It writes smoothly and erases thoroughly. Looking forward in seeing the updated (version 2) gel refills becoming available at JetPens. The ink of this newer refill is (1) housed in a metal casing (would give some added weight to the pen), and (2) the black ink is of a darker color.

Not about the pen but about the way ALL of my friction pens ordered were dried out. Packaged poorly without the little "ball" we usually get to protect the ink from drying out. Careless.

If you're debating between different Pilot FriXion pens, this one is the one I've had the best results with. The Slim variation can stop working depending on the weather (too cold) and how long you've had it, and the Pencil-Like ones work well but not everyone may like how light the ink sets. I know I prefer a richer, solid black or dark blue.I ordered this in 2018, and in 2022 it still works just as well. While I really like this pen, I feel the black ink isn't as "dark" as I would have liked.At times it kind of ends up looking like graphite on paper. I own another pen of this type with blue ink, and I feel that ink erases almost completely. This one will leave a bit of a shadow behind.Overall, the pen body and design is lovely. Just a shame about the ink color.

This pen is very noisy. There is somebody inside the barrel that rattles. When you click the pen it makes a loud noise too. Overall, it’s not a sturdy pen. The clip, when pushed down feels flimsy like it’s going to break off. The ink is a faded black, which I knew when I purchased it, but I don’t know, I just wasn’t impressed with it. Sometimes when I use the friction eraser, it leaves an ink smear. No matter how hard you rub it to try to erase the smear it won’t come off. It’s disappointing because this is supposed to be erasable ink and that’s the purpose of this pen. This is the last time I ever buy a frixion pen. the screw area cracked really easily. I'm not a strong person and changing out an emptied ink cartridge, the female part of the screw cracked. Thankfully I had a cute pink washi tape to hold it together but a bit sad that it happened.

Love the feel and weight of this pen. It's light and comfortable in my hand. I also like the click function on these pens versus removable cap on some Pilot FriXion pens. I've found that the 0.5 mm gel pen size works best for my RocketBook too!

I am an erasable pen fan and haven't really found one that I don't love. Yet, I just like this one. It's sturdy and the purple check design is super cute. The ink seems pencil like in color and texture, which could be a plus if that's what you're wanting. My gripe is that the ink seemed to run out faster than other similar pens. That's the deal breaker for me.

This pen is SOOOOO pretty, and immediately caught my eye. I was skeptical of the Pilot Frixion line before, but now I am not. The only reason I gave this pen 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pen rattles ALOT while writing. If you find that annoying, then don’t buy this. Another thing is that the ink is a bit more on the grayish side, and that mine does railroad quite a bit, but I don’t really mind.

My favorite pen to give away as a gift. The ink isn't as black (more of a dark grey actually) as I'd like, but it doesn't get in the way of performance. The slimmer body makes it a lot more comfortable to use than the other Pilot Frixion multipens. The grip doesn't get muddy or dirty either. It's still a lovely pink. ^_^
