Amazing Product

I bought this product some time back and the product quality was really good. The pen outside plastic is not like those pens where you drop them and the pen breaks. The ink is very nice, just like the title says, 'gel pen'. A gel pens job is to be inky but also not very runny at the same time and this pen is absolutely incredible. Coming to the erasable feature. You just have to put slight pressure on the rubber which is erasable, as mentioned in the pen title 'friction', you would need to apply a bit of force for some friction to be created, causing the writing on any material to be erased, which is a relief for many school going children, without worrying about their erasable supplies running out, or worrying about writing their absolute best, which would happen ... MoreI bought this product some time back and the product quality was really good. Beautiful colour. Lovely to write with. Great for those like me who still love the feel of pen on paper. Also excellent is can easily erase any mistakes and write straight again on the paper. I use mine with my language learning. Definitely recommend this colour as well as the other colours in the range.

Great for secondary school

My 12 year old grandson loves these as they are only allowed in most classes to use pencils and his work is much neater and clearer with a pen. He can use these as they are erasableI tried a few different makes at the start of the school year and pilot he said were by far the best. I think they also make refills but haven't been able to get them. Even his teachers who tried them as they didn't believe they would work were impressed. Only problem is all the other kids want a shot so I have to replace them sooner than normal.

They write quite smoothly and erase easily and cleanly when needed, but I found the narrow 0.5mm point nib to be a little more scratchy to use than the 0.7mm rollerball version. For general use the 0.7mm would be my preference, but if you want a finer line then this is a good option. However, even the 0.5mm point is not super fine so you may be disappointed if you are used to drafting pens for very fine work. As with all frixion pens these arent best suited for critical work as the ink can fade if left in a hot place and are there are somethings you definitely wouldnt want to be erasable, but the ability to erase ink is pretty neat. The ink doesnt seem to go so far compared to regular inks, but refills are readily available in multipacks.

These refills are fine as replacements refills however they are unnecessarily expensive at all retailers. They do not last for ages as the previous reviewer stated and are having to be replaced after every three weeks of use in secondary school making them very expensive when compared to a normal pen. If you can produce the majority of your written work without making too many mistakes than use a normal pen. Whist being erasable it is important to understand that the eraser works on friction heat to erase. So placing your written work next to a radiator may result in some of your work vanishing until the tempreature that the work is exposed to is reduced so be warned.
