Got this bag for the current golf season. I previously had been using a carry bag and I almost always used a push cart or I would ride. My carry bag lacked storage and what bothered me the most was that the grip part of my clubs would always get tangled in the bottom of the bag. The PING Pioneer bag fixed that issue with the full length individual club dividers. The storage on the bag is unbelievable. I can carry everything I will need on the course and then some. I was skeptical because some of the previous reviews said that the Pioneer had a problem standing upright and would tilt over and fall. I have not had this problem at all. This is a really nice mid-size bag. Not quite light enough to carry on your shoulder but easy to tote around the club to get a cart or for a push cart. It has a lot of pockets and storage space. I probably would rethink having so many deep compartments, two should be enough, but four seems a waist of space. I like the magnetized compartment - that is where I keep balls, glove, and a shoe horn. There are a lot of other zipper pockets for tees and the like. There is also a small pocket that is lined with fleece for your watch and other delicate items. Overall, a nice bag. I got the one with the USA red/white/blue color theme and have already gotten a few compliments.

For what its worth, the Pioneer works very well on a BagBoy Nitron or a ClicGear.For those complaining about the magnetic pocket not holding, you can't pack it full of stuff and expect the magnet to hold it in, its not a zipper, and its not designed to hold a stuffed pocket closed, its designed for quick, one-handed access. A few balls, ball markers, a glove, and a sharpie, or a rangefinder for easy in/out access is about all you should be putting in there. Use one of the other 14 or so pockets to spread your stuff around.And for the guy that complained about the towel rings making his towel hang too low, that's because your towel is too long, not the bag's design. A standard golf towel works just fine on this bag, its a non-issue.

Bought tis bag to replace an old bag which was worn out. I like this bag….plenty if pockets, tube design is well thought out, and zippers seem iv good quality. There is on e major flaw (at lest for my application.I have a 2022 EZ-GO RXV Elite cart. The bag fits on nicely…HOWEVER….the pass through for the straps are too low and the strap runs too close to the top of the front pocket to allow the magnetic seal to function properly. I had to bypass the pass throughs. The design may work on other carts just fine, but not on mine. It’s not a deal breaker, but it’s annoying to pay this much for a bag only for it to have a design flaw.
Loving the bag! Very light weight with good solid handles making picking it up from the truck easy. Pockets are great and I feel confident putting my phone in the fabric lined pocket! Love the magnetic top pocket making balls, gloves, tee's etc. easy to get to without hassle. Cooler pocket holds about 6 to 8 beers (really 6). Separates all my clubs nicely. Putter well is deeper than the other club spots avoiding wedges hitting the putter and scuffing it up which is super nice. Filled it up with all my new Ping's!
Nice bag. I bought it for individual club slots, which are large enough to hold my oversized grips. It’s still lightweight enough to carry around pretty easily. The front pocket with the magnetic closure was a surprise. It is my favorite part of the bag, so easy to get in and out of. I haven’t used the cooler for it’s intended purpose yet, too cold and rainy here in Sunny California. Right now I use it to hold my wet rag for cleaning mud off my clubs. I haven’t experienced any of the twisting or torsion mentioned in a couple reviews; hopefully those were flukes. Overall a good bag. Very happy.

There are a few major issues: my first bag had a missing (or something) magnet on the non-zippered pocket, such that it didn’t close all the way. I took it back to the store for another. That was a quality control issue. The design flaws are as follows:1. The cart strap channel has been too low for every golf cart I’ve tried. I’m sure some golf cart brands vary in height, but every time I’ve used a golf cart, the bag has to be lifted up for this channel to be used for the golf bag strap. Therefore, the whole weight of the bag is suspended without the base resting in the cart well. Seems like a ticking time boom for rips over time.2. I’m super nervous to use the shoulder strap. However; like a couple reviews I read prior to buying, the strap pulled off of the bag and my wedges took the brunt of the impact on the concrete. Nothing broke on the bag, it just seems that the end of the strap pulled through it’s upper spot on the bag. It can be stuffed back through but just pulls through again. How is this an issue? You guys make fantastic products and cheaped out on arguably the most important part on the bag… the strap! A consumer shouldn’t have to worry about that coming apart when slinging the bag over your shoulder. This is the second Pioneer bag I've owned. First is five years old and in fine condition, but I just loved the patriotic color scheme. What I love is:1) Sturdy & light2) Plenty of pockets that have very sturdy zippers3) Cooler pocket for drinks that holds ice4) Lined pocket for valuables5) Specific pocket with magnetic closure for range finder6) Cart strap that reduces sliding on BOTH carts and my pull cartWould buy again and would recommend for anyone who rides in a cart or has a push cart. If I carried a bag I would get Hoofer stand bag.
I have been using the bag for about 3 months, with either a day at the range or round of golf most days. This bag is very well built and the pocket design and accessibility/utility is excellent. Best bag I have ever had. My only complaint is with the magnetic range-finder pocket. The magnet simply does not hold the pocket lid firmly in place. I use the pocket to hold my tees and misc stuff. Several times I have forgotten to zip the lid shut and when I put the bag in my car the lid opens and all my stuff sill out of the pocket. As long as you zip it suth the pocket is function. The magnet lid is useless. However, the magnetic lid on the ball pocket works perfectly. Ping missed something important on the lid for the range finder pocket. Otherwise the bag is absolutely ...
