Just put this into my car with an Autoleads windscreen antenna. I felt there was a lot of setting to go through. On start up the DAB scanned for station, went up in various increments to 100, i thought this was finding 100 stations and then I got a DAB station, Absolute Rock, I think. I then switched the car off and then no and got a No Signal message. I had a play around with the up and down buttons and got lots of stations. I have no idea how the DAB stations are organised or how to find them in a systematic way. As it is I'll probably crash trying to find my favourite radio station. I'll keep at it but the instructions aren't much use and neither is the online support. Bottom line the DAB is all a bit confusing.

So stepping down from a 20k DLS multi amp battery setup to this plus some vibe speakers in a runabout car!Impressed, of course amp distorts but used within limits SQ is very good. The DAB button gets a bit annoying, once you work it out all good though, most things you would need for excellent sound, also great connectivity. Bit plasticky.Throw in online price match 30 quid reduction, bargain

I purchased this DAB radio to replace my old fm set in my vehicle.The staff where very helpful and assisted me with getting the right set for meI am so pleased they did the range of options are amazing and would recommend halfords for the service and unbiased opinions on the products.Can’t fault them or the Radioplayer.
I bought this a week ago but haven't actually driven the car since. It was relatively straight forward to fit once I had the correct facia panel and conversion leads. I also bought a glass mount DAB aerial which was easy to fit and appears to give a strong signal. Hands free phone feature works well. Nice sound even with the original Ford fitted speakers.

I was cautious about wiring, checking carefully the interface between the vehicle and the unit (connections described in the included installation instructions/guidance) carefully. All looked OK so on turning it on it was pleasing to see it functioning as expected. FM, USB, CD and bluetooth to phone were simple to use. use of DAB (Tuning and management) is a little less clear, but after discovering a detailed operating document on the pioneer site, this became clearer, although a better explanation of DAB lists would have helped (solved by experimenting). Bought this as an upgrade as I needed Bluetooth connectivity, this goes above and beyond and does everything. I was expecting to have to change the EQ settings as always on a new stereo but saw 'Dynamic' mode and tried that... amazing! Has all the attachments and ports you could need, a nice clear display and a simple to navigate menu. On top of all that, the app, although difficult to connect, does allow for full control of the stereo and control of music etc. All in all a highly recommended piece of tech. No remote, although the app kind of makes up for it.
To be completely clear. Bought this three months ago and Halfords did a cracking job of fitting it. Sound is decent and it looks good but....... don't be fooled, this is hopelessly over complicated and fiddly to use. The menus are baffling and on the move, well, just don't. Don't bother trying to touch anything on the move as you'll likely switch off what you were listening to or turn on another source by mistake. The phone based app is useless squared. If it works and there is no guarantee of this, it's reasonable to navigate and certainly better than the head unit but as phones are a no go when on the move, what's the point of it? All on all, spend your money elsewhere. It just isn't good enough even at this price range and worst of all it feels extremely brittle.
So easy to install as I was replacing an older pioneer model. Great for Bluetooth music streaming and listening to Audible. The pioneer smart app integrates well and essentially compliments the display. I already had a magnetic dab rooftop aerial and therefore that was easy to route to the back of the radio. CD player is a bonus but probably will not uses. Like all the equaliser settings that can be controlled from the phone. Great sound and pleased with all aspects of the radio.
Bought this and installed it. It worked lovely for about 20 minutes and then promptly died. I have checked all connections and the wiring harness, and the stock radio will still work so it is definitely the stereo. Halfords will not return and have instead made me wait to see the stereo fitter to have it looked at next week. Poor service. Not impressed.
