I really didn't need this but I do like it. This is especially useful for djs with dvs using turntables. I love the silent cue and the ability to change the key. The adjustable effects are cool too. This can enhance a djs set if you into more than song transitions.
Excellent response time from the pads. Loads of fun to use. The slide effects aren't the best compared to pots, but overall I was very impressed. The perfect addition to a basic mixer to easily access some of serato/rb's effects and features.
First off, I'm a former Red Bull 3Style US Finalist, so with all the advanced mixing myself and many others do, I can honestly say you'll be able to do it all with this controller and not have to ever worry about what mixer they have at the venue you're performing at.The build is very sturdy, and can definitely take a beating. The MANY MANY features and modes this midi pad has compliments what you're trying to achieve, whether it's with Serato or Rekordbox. Silent cue point is game changing, the ability to have your sample player AND cue points is game changing, the ability to midi map 16 pads on each side is game changing, the Xp2 is just a game changer, period.I highly recommend this product. You'll be happy you jumped on this.
Added this to my S11 mixer and 1210mk2 DVS setup. Having the extra pads means that I can have pad effects/slicers effects running on the XP2 while using hot cues/scratch bank on the S11 pads. The strips and silent cue are also useful features. Really opens up the possibilities for live remixing and creative transitions. Item arrived next day with free delivery.
Not used it live yet but getting plenty of practice in the studio. I love this kit!It opens up so many interesting possibilities too hard to do on a single controller. It's nice and small and simple to pick up. As I am using it with Serato, I have added a few labels to help me remember what is what as I'm learning. I feel like I now have a third hand in the mix.
