Good for mixing in general, I would have preferred a smoother and wider crossfader. It is very light and seems to be built more for scratching. The players are good. Still learning the different features.

A great uncomplicated mixer. Perfect for entry level mixing or if you just want a mixer without the bulls**t. Love the clear display & layout of controls. Feels solid & looks great, exactly what you'd expect from Pioneer.

Absolutely fantastic mixer perfect for what I need.I looked long and hard at a mixer to predominately use for vinyl at home and this also has the bonus of coming with Rekordbox DVS. Very well made and perfect size if docs is limited. My old Numark finally gave up after nearly 18 years and this was the perfect replacement. A well balanced price for the usual Pioneer quality. 9 out of 10 Id say and enough features if you just like to let the music do the talking rather than FX overload.

Overall:I had been on the fence about purchasing a DJ Mixer to use with my Technics SL-1200MK5 that is exclusively used for sampling. I had been using a Pro-Ject Phono Box for years but after getting a good deal on an SL-1200MK2 I figured it would be worth the investment to finally add a mixer. I wanted a “classic” dj mixer with eq and multiple ins/outs and the DJM-250MK2 seemed to fit the bill. After receiving this mixer I was up and running in about 10 minutes. So far I love just about everything about it. The extra ins/outs allow me to have multiple incoming audio sources that I can route to 2 samplers at a time. My current set up is channel 1 receiving audio from the MK2, and my computer and channel 2 receiving audio from the MK5, with one pair of stereo outs ... So far I love just about everything about it. The extra ins/outs allow me to have multiple incoming audio sources that I can route to 2 samplers at a time. My current set up is channel 1 receiving audio from the MK2, and my computer and channel 2 receiving audio from the MK5, with one pair of stereo outs going to one sampler and the other stereo outs going to another sampler. I can then sample from either turntable or my computer with any of the two samplers with very little work. And even better, I still have another stereo input and mic input still available. I haven’t messed with the usb interface at all yet but it is currently connected. I’ve heard mixed reviews about the bundled software and while I will use it eventually, it is more of a bonus for me as this mixer already covers all of the things that I had bought it for. I did “scratch” with it for a few hours and the fader feels really nice and the filters sound pretty sweet too. Overall, I’m very pleased with this mixer and highly recommend to anyone who wants to add a fairly basic dj mixer to their studio or dj set up.
If you're not too fussed about effects and such this mixer sounds lovely and warm with vinyl.....plus its plug and play with the new rekordbox, comes with a licence for it but doesnt require it for the new version all you have to do is plug it in and it unlocks the software.Rekordbox dvs is also great btw feels like vinyl if you use absolute mode like I do...Plus if you want the in-software effects and grid sync all you have to do is switch to relative mode. The filters on this mixer are amazing also must I add...main selling point for me was suprised about the value.Amazing product
This is a great starter mixer for 2 channel use. I previously used this with turntables for the rekordbox dvs feature so I can use timecode vinyl to control rekordbox tunes. Great little mixer very durable too. Worth getting if you only need 2 channels but no efx, so ideal for turntable djs or as a back up.
This mixer is really great for beginner and even professional DJ.With the Rekordbox software and DVS licenses included, you can use this software for turntables or CDJs.I like the Magvel Crossfader. It is really tight for scratching. Also the both channels are post fader, that means you can activate the echo effect in the softwareand get a tail from it like echo out, really nice.If you are looking for a cheap mixer, included the software and builtlike a tank, this is really for you. And watch the review from DJ City on Youtubefor more information. Just search: DJ City DJM 250 MK2
I bought this strictly for home use when mixing/playing 12” singles. This replaces an older Stanton mixer which was a bit more complicated and didn’t sound as good as this Pioneer mixer. Much easier to use, nice build quality and the sound is awesome! I have a lot of high end gear to satisfy my audiophile needs and this unit is no slouch! I find myself using the mixer with just (audiophile) headphones and I have to say the sound is fantastic! There is a 3 band EQ for each channel and a cool special effects knob (not that I will use it a lot, but a nice bonus). I can’t wait to hook up my laptop to the USB connection and digitize my rather large 12” singles collection. For the money…you just can’t beat it! Also, although it’s a bit pricey, invest in the Decksaver ... MoreI bought this strictly for home use when mixing/playing 12” singles. Overall:I got this mixer because I wanted to give Pioneer's Rekordbox DJ another try. I already had the Rekordbox control vinyl from a previous experience. As much as I like the layout of the software I just can't see it as a replacement for Serato DJ Pro. The mixer itself is pretty decent. The crossfader is nice, the build is solid but the software is the downfall of this mixer. If I were just an all vinyl DJ then maybe this mixer would have worked for me but in 2018 a laptop is needed for me to DJ on a regular basis.
I am so impressed by this mixer for its price point. I have had many different mixers in the past. If you are looking for a simple high quality 2 channel mixer then this is the one!!!!Its solid, feeling great to use and sounds crystal. The fact that it comes with rekordbox & DVS built in......... Shibby!I could not recommend it enough! If you made me choose one thing that could be improved. The lack of a split cue is a bit frustrating.

Pioneer DJM250MK2 2-Channel Digital DJ Mixer
The DJM-250MK2 has inherited some of the professional features of the popular DJM-900NXS2, such as the Magvel crossfader and Sound Color FX filter. Straightforward controls, a clear layout, and dedicated 3-band isolators let you scratch and mix instinctively. The dithering technology on this mixer results in warm, high-quality audio from both analog and digital sources. Plus its built-in sound card lets you connect the mixer to your PC/Mac and use rekordbox to perform with CDJs. Or hook up the DJM-250MK2 to turntables and use rekordbox in combination with our control vinyl to scratch and mix with digital files stored on your computer. Features The clear layout of the DJM-250MK2’s lower half gives you the freedom to perform complicated scratch techniques. Our robust Magvel Faders ensure smooth control over long-term use. 2 metal shafts support the fader knobs, while the contact-free magnetic system is designed to endure millions of movements. Precise, fluid mixes are a breeze using the mixer’s channel faders, and the 3-band isolators give precision across the highs, mids, and lows. You can use them to totally eliminate each frequency range when you turn the knob all the way to the left. Each channel comes with its own dedicated Sound Color FX filter, a feature inherited from the DJM-900NXS2 mixer. Simply turn the knob on each channel to apply the filter, Twist the parameter knob for texture, and play with resonance and tension. Connect the DJM-250MK2 to your PC/Mac using a single USB cable. The USB connection supports sound input and output, so you can record your mixes to your computer’s hard drive. Unlock rekordbox performance features by simply connecting the unit to your PC/Mac. And, if you subscribe to the Creative plan, use Cloud Library Sync for seamless library management across multiple devices, and easily make custom versions of tracks in Edit mode.
