This is an excellent set of speakers (in my opinion). I bought them as an upgrade to the bookshelf speakers of the same series, and run them in a 2.1 configuration driven by a TEAC UD-501/TEAC AX-501 pair over 12AWG OFC (Monoprice # 9343 generic for the win), using the Pioneer SW-8MK2 8" sub high level input wired serial with the speakers. Subwoofer is really only needed for movies and EDM where you want that extra rumble, their normal bass output is more than sufficient for most music and video. These easily fill a large bedroom with sound, to the point where I find I rarely drive them more than -40dB from the amplifier; too loud.I've seen complaints about washed out mid range and do not hear it with my set.I'd totally buy these again if I had need for speakers ... I love everything about these speakers. Good looking. Good sounding. The Atmos feature really enlarged the soundstage. Im using these in the rear of our home theater for surround and rear Atmos channels. They are perfect for this use. Would also be good for main fronts and front Atmos channels. Great value for the money.

Use them for rear atmosphere, work great. Excellent quality that I didn't expect from pioneer speakers, receiver yes, speakers no. But I'm impressed. With the klipsh 5 front and these as rears I have sound bouncing off the ceiling from 4 directions.

Atmos speakers they say, well I don't want to cut into my roof so why not. I enjoy pioneer, while not great they are decent and really affordable. After a bit of test sounds and room correction a few times with manual adjustments to my liking and these are fun. Hearing helicopters overhead or a spear flying through me is fun to us. When listening to music I change a few options amd basically create a matrix of sound. These are not the best as we have others in our movie room but wanted to add to our home gym so I found these used, I could not tell when I opened them. They were mint condition. I'm very happy for my use with these and the sound they produce with the right receiver

These speakers radiate a wonderful, pure sound. The top speaker enables a very spacious sound which really fills your room. The two speakers came two days prior to the expected arrival date. Although they are listed as refurbished, there is no evidence of prior usage. Highest possible recommendation.
Excellent Pair of Dolby Atmos speakers simply awesome! Excellent integrated drives to deliver woofer & tweeter from the front plus a upward speaker. I love these speakers. I connected my Yamaha RX-V479 receiver with these speakers. Awesome sound quality with right base. Music & Movie quality is excellent. I used these speakers as left & right side. I bought a pioneer center speaker too. All together great sound experience .
I thought these speaker were going to be much smaller than they are (by no means am I complaining haha). The sound quality is fantastic, so clear and precise, very immersive. So impressed in the value. Highly recommended. (I'm going to need the matching center speaker too now that my little Jbl center satellite looks out of place)
Well built & sturdy construction. Hooked them up to my Sony 7.2 surround sound system, LG OLEG 65" 4k ultra HDTV and LG Ultra high def Blu-ray player with Dolby Altmos. Amazing sound, enhancing the full audio and visual experience. Great speakers...priced well.
