Confidence inspiring!

They are a great tire and absolutely love the look. I have had two sets so far, I have 8700miles on my Ducati Scrambler. 30% has been dirt and they have been a great tire. I take off fast from stop lights and ride hard in the corners. 4300miles on the rear is fair Tread life considering the confidence they inspire. I do have the rear slip just a little ?very rarely? when I really get on it out of a 90* turn from stopped, but it doesn?t make me feel out of control or have to release the throttle. Buy with confidence! No signs ever of cracking or any of that nonsense in either pair. I didn?t need to change the front at the second rear change, but I did for my bike and for my ?not having to return? to the dealership... in 2000 more miles...

These were the OEM tires on my Ducati Scrambler. I found that they were a great all-around tire for a bike of this type. They were developed from a racing rain tire and have the same compound as the Diablo Rosso II, so they stick really well, especially in the wet which is great for a general use bike. They're mainly a street tire, though I've done gravel and fire roads without any issues. The one downside to these is that they wear faster than average. I got about 4700 miles out of a rear which isn't terrible, but other owners get 3,000 or so.In the end, I liked them enough that I bought them again when the factory tires were worn.

Good traction on dry and offroad. Short lived.

I've gone through 2 sets of these on my wife's '12 Versys. They grip really well on dry pavement and did well despite the tire profile in light to moderate off-road scenarios on the Washington Back Country Discovery Route (BDR), but they lack confidence inspiring grip on wet pavement and their tread life on even a moderate weight bike was lack luster. After just 3k miles I was sub 3mm tread life. I think I can stretch it to 4k miles in the summer, but given their already sub-par wet pavement performance I don't know that I'd stretch it into the fall.

Great looking Tire with grip galore.
29 July 2019

These tires are the direct OEM replacements on the Ducati Scrambler 1100. Everything about them inspires confidence in the corner and on wet pavement. I’ve not really ridden much off road with them, so I won’t comment on that aspect. The only complaint I have is tread wear. Which seems to be this tires Achilles heel. I got 5500 out of the first set. But one doesn’t get all that grip without some sacrifice. And it all depends on how aggressively you ride, how many miles you’ll get from them. Just wished they’d made these in a dual compound. Like the Angel GT 2’s

Great tire, poor tread life
4 December 2016

I had these tires put on my '14 Hypermotard SP after replacing my Continental TKC80's (I've modified it into an adventure bike). I wanted more road grip and tread life at the sacrifice of less offroad grip after having moved away from the PNW down to SF Bay. I won't purchase this tire again though. I've put maybe 3500 miles on these and the rear is getting pretty low in the middle. I think my TKC80's lasted longer. These do offer a great amount of grip on the road and have no issue with rain either, even at 90mph (usual CA freeway speed). They are quiet and stable on the freeway as well. They look badass, almost street/dirt tracker like.Overall it's a great tire for light offroading and street cornering. But there are better choices for cheaper, in my opinion.

When I purchased a 2012 Honda NC700x on April 20th in Ontario, Canada it happened to be cold and with a lite wet snow. The bike had this front tire on it, well worn and 6 years old. I test rode the bike being mindful of the wet conditions and it did good enough. After making the deal, I only had a few KM ride home. The tire did very well with low thread, so much so that I replaced it with a fresh one from here and it arrived super quick. When I opened the bag I was somewhat disappointed in the tread depth of the brand new tire. Well….after todays ride through some real adventure conditions, gravel, sand, loose dirt, lite mud patches it did amazing. I ride on the hard side and have the bike loaded with a topbox and hard saddlebags. It does very nicely on the road. Stellar on & off-road, wet or dry, short life.
3 April 2019

I have worn these out on my 2016 FJ-09 and ride in the southern BC. We have very few 'straight' roads and summers are 30+°C. The MT 60 are very sticky and I rode them fast on pavement keeping up with my buddies on sport bikes (much better riders than I am). On forest service roads my crew couldn't keep up to me. For gravel roads and two track trails the MT60 are stellar, and for the few times I road in the rain they were solid performers. The wind noise on my FJ-09 is loud so I can't speak to the road noise. I got roughly 8000 km out of the back tire but should have changed it out at 7K. The front tire is so far down I'll replace it as well.

The Best Scrambler Tire
22 April 2017

I didn't realize how good the MT-60RS was until I put a set of Angel GTs on my Ducati Scrambler. Every ride I yearn to have these tires back. Wet road traction is unbelievable. Seriously, if roads are damp/wet nothing will grip better than these. The knobbies are just big enough to do some minor unpaved exploring. Cornering traction is better than this bike needs (and it's a Ducati). Warm-up time? I don't think they actually have any. These tires have the same soul as the Ducati Scrambler. Everything that bike was designed for, these do perfectly. It might make sense to upgrade to some bigger knobbies if you're constantly pushing the bike off-road (which isn't really its purpose). It might make sense to get a longer-lasting tire if you really pour on the miles. ... MoreI didn't realize how good the MT-60RS was until I put a set of Angel GTs on my Ducati Scrambler. If you want your bike to be a Scrambler, just fitting these tires will get you 80% of the way there.

Utter Rubbish

I have always liked Pirelli tyres which is why I chose these MT60's for my C500 Royal Enfield. The front was OK but the rear 110/80 R18 was unusable. It was so stiff and inflexible I could not fit it. The very first tyre in over 50 yrs of swapping tyres that has defeated me. Mind you it was made in China so whether it was a counterfeit I dont know. The feel, texture and appearance was completely different to the front tyre which did not seem logical. When I sat on the tyre, 88kg, it did not flex at all compared to the old tyre which I had removed and already decided was stiff. The old tyre when sat on just collapspsed under my weight, the Chinese Pirelli was solid and never showed the slightest signs of movement. finally a tire that inspires confidence!

I have a 2013 ktm 990 SMT which came with some Continental sport/street tires on it. From my home, I unfortunately have to ride on a little over a 1/4 mile of gravel to ride on in order to get to the pavement and the Continentals skittered and twitched all over the place even with 32 psi in them and honestly they didn't feel all that great on pavement either as I had felt the rear sliding out of corners with even moderate throttle application on quite a few occassions previously. It was time to replace the rear tire and I wanted a tire that would allow me to explore a little bit off pavement and please keep in mind I have no expectations of wanting to thrash this beautiful bike off road like it was a dirt bike or anything but wanted a set of tires that can deal with ... MoreI have a 2013 ktm 990 SMT which came with some Continental sport/street tires on it. Well, after researching a bit and reading some other reviews elsewhere it seemed that these Pirelli MT60RS tires which come as standard tires on the Ducatti Scramble might actually do what I was hoping them to do! I have only ridden my bike a few times since putting the MT60RS tires on (approx 300 km so far) but I can honestly say I am very impressed so far. On my last ride I ended up riding approx 8 - 10 miles of gravel road to get up to the Ridge reservoir and back to pavement which was a mix of packed and loose gravel sections and these tires just felt planted in comparison to what the bike previously came with. I even tested on some corners on pavement with gravel/sand and tested them while cornering to see if the tread pattern and compound could deal with that and they did that quite well there too! On pavement they feel like they are sticky right away without purposefully trying to warm them up and the slight hint of vibration the tread pattern provides when on the road provides the perfect feedback IMO. I like feeling connected. The only complaints I have read from other people regarding the MT60RS tires are that they say the rear tire has a short life expectancy which I honestly do not care about one bit as I wanted a tire that bites and provides confidence and that is exactly what these MT60RS appear to do so far!
