I bought one of these for my wife and one for myself. The only problem that I have with it is that the full lid section is heavy and mine folded back over the hinges farther than it is supposed to.The versatility is great and I am using mine for a range kit. It contains multiple bore snakes, 4 pair of earmuffs, safety glasses, targets and multiple other miscellaneous pieces with lots of room to spare. I removed 2 of the 2-3701 stowaways from the bottom and replaced them with a Plano 2 tier 3700 guide series stowaway. A regular double thick 3700 stowaway is slightly wider than the case will allow, but the 2 tier 3700 is a perfect fit.Overall the case is incredibly useful and versatile but I am a little concerned about the hinge being a little finicky.

I wanted something that was going to last. Was sick of buying a tackle box every year or 2nd year. Spoke to the Team member, who I might add was very helpful,. She took me to the isle and showed me a selection. Yes it was expensive, but hey, I honestly believe I have quality now. I am more than happy with it. It fits every thing I need into the box, without over crowing. It is sturdy, and easy to handle. Lots of departments to be utilized. One of the things that attracted me to it, was the life time warren tee. At last I have a tackle box that will last most probably for the rest of my time.

I bought this tackle box after my old one was stolen out of my truck over 20 years ago. I used it a lot for 5 years, then physical issues hit me and I did not fish for 15 years. Have gotten back into it. I use it mostly at home to store everything in it. I have a small box to put in what I want to take fishing, taking just what I need for where and for what I am fishing. It is to big and heavy for me to take around with my power wheelchair. But if I could I would just take this. I am looking for one bigger than my small one to take with me. A person without physical issues would have no problem using this as their main box. I came across this when I was looking for a bigger go with box and was surprised at first when I saw they still made it. The box arrived in a timely manner from Cabelas.. The box is bigger than I thought it was and definitely has a lot of room in it. The removable dividers in the top, along with the storage boxes make it nice to put things pretty much anywhere one would like. It's a bit pricey, but yet, what isn't anymore!
I'm a float fisherman, and I've always been a little annoyed with most boxes on the market as they don't seem to take into account the sizes and shapes of floats. The top compartment on the lid of this box offers spaces long enough for wagglers and deep enough for big steelhead floats and bodied drift beaters.Other than that, I agree with much that has already been said about this box. Lots of well-organized storage for everything from cranks and spinners, hooks, rigs and rig-building supplies, tools, spare spools of line, etc. There is a separate lid for the the primary top spinner storage, which is handy when you just want to select a spinner or crank without jostling all the other stuff around.WARNING:This box DOES NOT INCLUDE the five-compartment spinner ... MoreI'm a float fisherman, and I've always been a little annoyed with most boxes on the market as they don't seem to take into account the sizes and shapes of floats. The box that is made to fit this compartment is the Plano 3504 box.
I like the product, I don't like the secrecy of the lower right compartment. Why would it be empty? Why would you not have any documentation with it, maybe stating what size the compartment is and maybe what they would recommend for the compartment. After some research, I found that a 3504 box will fit the compartment and then I had to order it. Makes no sense not to supply the box with the tackle box in my opinion especially since this is not a five and dime tackle box.
I purchased these to hold tools and parts when going to the range. I really like the removable storage compartments and those are customizable. This offers so many varieties of storage for different sized parts it's uncanny. It's easy to use and you can put stuff in the main compartments that you utilize more and I'm just thrilled with this product. This by far is one of the best tackle box type storage containers I've used. This is perfect for crafts, tools, fishing tackle, or other small parts and pieces so you can stay organized. You can also see thru some of the compartments which is nice you can see some of the more used areas. This is a big storage container too. Think of a full sized tool box. The quality is high and as much as I've used, opened and closed, taken out the compartments... it's all held together great. Whoever engineered this thing did a great job.
Had the 777 for decades, and it finally broke beyone repair. This is a large tackle box. I use it for the entire family. The 7771 is basicaclly the 777, only with 4 single level pullouts instead of 2 double level pullouts. It's probably too big for one person, but great for my extended family of 6 who boat and fish together.
Garbage! I purchased this box a few weeks ago. Today I went in to put some new lures in it and the front latch broke. Not to mention since I’ve owned it the top handle regularly falls out of its slot. I’ve emailed bass pro to see if they will replace it or fix it so we’ll see. Either way this will be the absolute LAST time I spend money on anything Plano…..
2nd one. Liked it so much I bought another. Works great only frustrating is this time no plastic leader boards or plastic dividers included this time. Read other reviews and sounds like I’m not the only one. So be aware of that.
