Plantronics Blackwire C720-M - Headset

This headset is awesome, I use it for year and half with no kinds of problems, I use it for Skype calls and its voice crisp and clear, it work on PCs, Mac and mobile, I used bluetooth with it and the sound and music was clear and great. and it is very comfy for your ears.

This headset is so comfortable. I sometimes have meetings back to back and the ear pads don't hurt. It is light weight with superb sound quality.

Good Headset - Stupid Annoyances

After struggling with cheapo headsets I opened my wallet and went back to Plantronics. I have used several Plantronics headsets over many years. I don't understand the need for a cord on a wireless headset. It is always in the way and bumps the microphone mast which makes a noise the call recipient can hear. Cut the stinking cord or make it removable for those times when I want a true wireless solution. PLEASE PLEASE give me a USB outlet on the headset that does not require a proprietary cable! I can see that the connector is a micro-USB, why surround it with a special plastic plug. Now I must carry two micro-USB cords instead of just one and I hope I never lose the Plantronics cord or I am hosed. The good things about this headset I love. Overall excellent functionality: sound, connectivity to two sources, ease of installation. If there's one thing I'd fix, it's the fit. It could be a bit more comfortable for use over long durations.

I bought it used, but it was well worth the price I paid for it.

Headset works as expected with excellent sound quality. I have added it to my wife's phone and to our IPAD via its Bluetooth. Although I knew this before I bought it, I wish the long cord was shorter as sometimes it gets tangled up with the earpiece. The sound quality is even good enough to listen to music on the phone or PC.

I really like the dual Funcitionality of Cell & PC connection

I use the Blackwire 720 extensively when working remotely from my office. It works well with Cisco UC Integration for Microsoft Lync and my IPhone when working. So it makes it very functional to keep moving forward in my day with communicating on both communication devices. The sound quality is great and the microphone is excellent for others to hear me. This is what is most important to me since my job is about communicating with others daily by voice besides my multitude of email traffic. The headband is a leather band that keeps it very comfortable on my head. Also, I like the carrying case to keep them in good condition especially when I travel. I did see the C725 that has stereo capability however, I noted it does not have dual function between cell phone and PC. I can live without the stereo since the sound quality is very good for what it was designed for.

It's the details that count

This has a lot of potential, but they went overboard with their technology to the point where it gets in the way. For example, when on a call, if you hit the mute button on the headset, you get a voice prompt and a beep telling you that mute is on or off. Unfortunately, the audio from your call completely cuts out so you are left with 2-3 seconds of hearing nothing but the headset talking to you. There is an array of settings, even one that allows you to turn off the "mute off" voice prompt (but no setting for the "mute on" prompt strangely). Unfortunately again, the prompt is replaced by a beep which still completely cuts out the call audio, producing the same result of losing 2-3 seconds of call audio.If they can fix this, I would buy it again. Plantronics® 700 Blackwire Bluetooth Cor

Awesome piece of equipment. I am in a ton of on line meeting these days, more and more it seems. I've been going through headphones that I would normally use for my iPod and/or Kindle Fire. It seems like whenever I use those, I get many complaints from people in the meeting that I sound like I'm in a tunnel. Finally I broke open the wallet and bought this USB Headset. I've used Plantronics on my land line my whole career and love their products. The USB and Bluetooth set is even better than what I expected! Everything and everyone is clear as a bell now! Life is good!

Poor quality. Disappointed

Earphone wasn't stuck on properly and failed on the first use. Shame as CEX is normally good quality.

Works great for me

Does exactly what I expected it to do, works with Lync and BluStar from the laptop and via Bluetooth for my phone. Switch calls between the 2 sources with no issues. I just wish that I was able to pair with 2 phones. Excellent product!!! Sound quality hearing and speaking (so I am told) is good...
