This gadget is amazing, it exceeded my expectations, especially with respect to ease of setup and seamless connectivity. I was hesitant to buy it because I was concerned about potential issues, but I had NONE. Followed the simple setup instructions and voila, it just worked. Firmware update also completed without a hitch.Now every time I start my car CarPlay is enabled, automatically. Like any Bluetooth device, it takes a little bit of time to connect but not long, maybe 5-10 seconds. Best 69 bucks I spent in a while.

I have a 2020 RAV4 hybrid that has wired Apple CarPlay only. For short trips, it was kind of annoying to have to use a cable and thought wireless would be good longer trips I still use the cable so I can simultaneously charge my phone.Setup was straightforward if you follow the instructions. I had it up and running within a few minutes (with firmware update).It connects automatically when the car is turned on not much difference in loading comparing to use direct connection with cable.Its fairly responsive with little lag. It works well and really no different than using wired CarPlay.Overall, its small, easy to use, and accomplishes what its designed for. Highly recommended.

This has been a game changer in my life. Overall it has been flawless and makes my life easier. Not having cables running everywhere has been great. Super easy to set up and it is PLUG AND PLAY. Sound quality is great and the system does NOT lag at all. It is great!!!The only smaller draw back I have seen is when auto starting my car and having my phone nearby may result in you unplugging the unit when getting in the car. If your auto start does not turn the car off when getting in you might NOT have this issue.Overall, very good product and would highly suggest this to everyone.

Having learned my lesson with my other adapter, the first thing I decided to do with this adapter was update its firmware. That went pretty smoothly.Getting the adapter to work involves first plugging it into your car's USB port. Once connected, you will need to accept the adapter as a new CarPlay device on your car's head unit. When connected to the car, the adapter creates its own Wi-Fi network. From there you need to connect your iPhone to both the adapter's Bluetooth connection and Wi-Fi connection. Finally, you then select CarPlay on your car's head unit and it should work just like if you have your iPhone ... MoreThis is the second wireless CarPlay adapter that I own. This may sound like a long time but in my experience, in the time it takes you to turn on the car and get settled to the point where you are ready to use CarPlay, it is usually ready and available.If you find that the adapter is not working, make sure that the iPhone is connected to BOTH the adapter's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. If it is not connected to both, it will not work properly. They should both connect automatically and normally do so, but every once in a while, it might not.Please note that if you use a mobile hotspot on the phone while driving, for example to share internet connection with kid's tablets while they are in the car, you will need to shut off the mobile hotspot for this adapter to work. The iPhone does not allow the mobile hotspot to be active at the same time that it is connected to a Wi-Fi network, in this case the Wi-Fi network of the adapter.I have had two minor issues with this adapter:1) Once with the adapter connected and CarPlay running, my car's head unit returned back to its main screen on its own. If I tried to go back to CarPlay, the head unit would just flash and go back to the head unit's main screen. This was actually a major problem I had with the first wireless CarPlay adapter I owned and was only solved via a firmware update. Luckily this has only happened once on this adapter. The only way to solve this issue is to turn off the car and turn it back on. This might be an issue with my particular car's head unit (a 2018 Honda Odyssey) and not the adapter, but I cannot say for sure.2) When using any map app including Waze, Google Maps, or Apple Maps, if my phone is in my pocket, it thinks its nights and therefore displays the maps in night mode. If I take the phone out of my pocket, the problem does not get resolved and does not switch to day mode. If connected directly to the car via a USB cable, I know this normally works and it automatically switches for example when going into a tunnel during the day. The only way to resolve is to turn off the car or unplug the adapter and plug it back in. I reached out to the adapter's support multiple times, but I have not heard back from them. Because of this issue and the lack of support, I am deducting one star.Overall, we had a much better experience with this wireless CarPlay adapter than with our first wireless CarPlay adapter, but the lack of support when we reached out to them was a bit disappointing. At least the first adapter we used and had a lot of issues with when we contacted their support they answered.I definitely recommend this adapter but just realize that if you do run into any issues, you may not get the support that you may need.
This wireless CarPlay Adapter is the real deal. I drive a 2021 Subaru Forester and I was so bummed up that I needed to connect my phone with an original charging cable in order to have CarPlay on the touchscreen monitor. My wife ordered this device and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to initially pair it. It seamlessly connects to my phone everytime. I have tried other CarPlay adaptors and so far this has been the best among all of them. What surprised me the most was the availability of YouTube and Netflix! I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless CarPlay adapter.
I've tried a few wireless adapters and read reviews of many many more. I love that I can just plug it in and not have a big box sitting in my storage compartment. It's out of the way so i can make full use of that storage tray, and it matches the rest of my interior. What surprises me most is that this adapter has YouTube and Netflix built in! Now I can hop in my vehicle and leave my phone in my pocket and still get the full functionality of carplay. If I'm on a long trip and want to charge my phone I can just plug it into the additional charge port inside the center console and still utilize the wireless adapter. Sound quality does not seem to be any worse than any other bluetooth or wireless operation. My truck doesn't have the best sound system but it sounds great to me. It doesn't affect mic quality at all, people on the other end can hear my fine just as usual. There is a slight delay for playing/pausing music. Scrolling through your library is flawless, but once you select a track/album there is about a 2 second delay before the audio starts. The same goes when you skip a track or when you hit pause/play. Always about a 2 second delay. This delay is not present when the system just goes to the next track when one is finished, only if you manually play/pause something. This also does not seem to cut anything off, it just plays the audio 2 seconds later than you would normally hear it. I see this issue described with pretty much every carplay wireless device, however this one is much less prominent than the other adapters I have tried myself.The only other common issue with wireless carplay adapters is the time it takes to connect. My Honda Ridgeline has a very slow radio startup anyway, probably about 20-25 seconds before I can connect my phone even when wired. This is extended an extra 5-7 seconds with this device. I would estimate total time to connect at just over 30 seconds. Completely acceptable in my opinion, and compared to other wireless adapters.Easy 5 stars for this one.
Wired car play is good but wireless is the better. All of our vehicles have wired Apple Car Play but it is inconvenient if you are getting in and out frequently. I just plugged the stick right into my front USB port that I normally have my cable come from for my iPhone and I quickly/easily paired it to my iPhone XR and next thing I know, car play is working wirelessly!I love Apple CarPlay, but I did kind of hate always having to plug my phone in to be able to use it. If I was taking a quick drive, or if my phone had a full charge, it was just one more thing I had to do and would often not mess with it and just use my normal stereo via Bluetooth. We are using this in a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. I dont like having to unplug my phone each time I leave the car when connected to CarPlay. Now I dont need to. This is working just as advertised. It was no trouble to set up with an iPhone 12 mini. There is no lag, and it connects quickly. I have used it when out and about all day and on shorter excursions. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and then followed the included directions. I did need to Bluetooth my phone to the car even though it was plugged in the CarPlay outlet during set up. If there are any problems, I will update this review.
I like the simple plug construction of this adapter. Ive tried a couple other ones and this one keeps up or exceeds many of the others. Comes with all the adapters you may need to connect to your car stereo USB plug. All features work as expected. I didnt have any connection issues. No update needed for mine. Has the typical audio latency of all carplay adapters I've tried. Not sure if there are any that have unperceivable latency. If there is I haven't found it yet. Around 1.5 second delay for starting and stopping audio typical of wifi audio connections. Phone calls switch over to 2 way bluetooth through the adapter so the latency is much less. Touch screen latency is around 200-300ms.Works great with my 2022 Subaru Ascent Touring and 2022 Hyundai Elantra N.
