Start with the original trilogy line first and see what happens. As a taster to see if the playmobil star wars range would sell, make a limited run Luke, Han, Leia, chewy, and the land speeder. I have gone on off on one there..sorry!..yes the delorean is a great toy for little boys and big boys like me. Thank you for reading this review. I want a playmobil millennium falcon, with working landing gear and lights and sound and a loading ramp and a space chess board and all the little bits and bobs that come with a playmobil toy...make it and ill buy it.

A high quality set compromising of the Delorean, Doc Brown and Marty figures with accessories, and of course Einstein! The attention to detail is very good. I bought this as a birthday present for somebody in their mid 40s and they absolutely loved it. We put it together and it requires a delicate touch in some areas. Once it's complete and and batteries are in, it's nice to see the lights flashing and the flux capacitor... fluxxing. The recipient loved it so much that they went ahead and ordered the other Playmobil BTTF accessories like the Advent Calendar/Clock Tower. Overall this set is a great display piece and fun for all ages.

Got this for my 8 year old. He loves it, easily out it together himself and plays with it all the time. He lives that the doors open, it lights up, and wheels go in and out like the movie.

I've read reviews where people receive badly scratched cars.The instructions for putting this together are NOT overly clear. I ended up following a really good unboxing video online from a guy whose done loads of these types of builds, and even he messed up. The mechanism to retract the wheels is a little stiff and I was worried I'd break them. The DeLorean is nicely made. It takes some force to pop some parts in place. Once parts are snapped on it's almost impossible to pull them apart so be careful when following the instructions. It's just a bit cartoonish in proportions but is just accurate enough where it will still make the adult collector happy. The wheels are tricky to to flip into hover mode but once you've figure it out it gets easier to do. I found that you have to push down a bit at the locking tab when rotating the wheel. The rear tires are larger than the front just like the real Delorean so be careful not to mix them up. Both Gull-wing doors have streaks or marbling on them from the metallic colored plastic which is a problem with metallic plastic molding. Great quality toy from PlayMobil would recommend for that inner child, yes it’s just not for the kid’s but for all ages 6+ due to small parts etc so it be a great gift for yourself or son/ daughter, niece/ nephew, or brother/ sister possible is endless. Also it would be a great collectors item some day if well looked after, packaging and everything so if you’re one of those would recommend saving the packaging. Item was very well packed by Zavvi arrived safely and promptly.
Long story short, i bought the playmobil advent calendar for my best friend and at the end he had this awesome scene but no Delorian. As arguably one of the main characters in the films, I thought he should have it. As two adult men who love the films, this is the kind of thing we do. He loves it. We are socially isolated from one another, so the pics he has shared with me show the car in different spots which tells me he is playing with it. Price was alright, delivery was quick, packaging was secure.
My son absolutely loves it. He has spent most of christmas re-enacting the three movies with it!Lots of items are detachable - it you want them to stay on permanently, consider super glue! It comes with lots of cool accessories too such as a skateboard, video camera etc.The car was slightly scratched when we took it out of the box - it might have moved around in the box with its various accessories. Perhaps it could be packaged better to prevent this. My son wanted to keep it regardless. It was definitely his favourite toy this christmas.
This is a fun set from Playmobil and I am enjoying their venture in time into arguably one of the (correction, THE) best movie trilogy’s of all time. There’s some neat touches here, like the light up flux bands. The characters are super accurate and have some cool accessories. I feel like the DeLorean could have been a little more detailed but it’s ultimately a kids toy. I’m a big kid and I love it! Can’t wait to see what Playmobil roll out in the future... ;) My only slight disappointment was that 1955 Marty & Doc were shown in the ad as being included in the set, but alas they have been erased from existence... In addition, excellent service from IWOOT as always.
you will be able re-live the movie when you play with the playmobil back to the future delorean. resembles lots in the movies such as the lightning hook and wheels fold down for hovering. playmobil figures are always cute. we had loads of fun putting it together and re-enacting scenes after. good play times. we don't have batteries yet, so no comment on the lights
