PlayStation 4 (PS4) Slim 500GB Console

I have been a PlayStation girlie my entire existence, from the 1 to the 4, with my eyes on the 5. But - this review is about the 4. Let’s rewind to 2017. I literally upgraded my PS3 to a PS4 for the new Dark Souls game that had came out, and let me tell you I was not disappointed in the quality difference. It was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was having to have PSN to play online with friends then, but that’s not an issue now as it’s required for all online gaming. I’ve read reviews of people saying theirs has overheat or the fans going out and as a daily player for roughly 2-6 hours a night of online gameplay, mine is still going strong. She’s pretty stable. A few years ago, the PlayStation 4 Pro was a great upgrade from the PlayStation 3. It loaded games so much faster, which is always a plus! The picture clarity is amazing, everything is so vibrant, especially paired with a 4k tv. We cancelled our cable a few years ago, we stream all of our tv through our PlayStations, so we have multiple in our house. We still have our PlayStation 3 and all of the games that go with it, it’s a shame the PS4 doesn’t have backwards compatibility. I may set up the PS3 in our 4th graders room this summer to get some use out of it still. We are definitely a PlayStation family. We’ve since upgraded two rooms to PS5’s, but there are still PS4’s still being used. They are still a great choice for someone looking to buy a console.

I’m really not much of a gamer these days. But when I heard of the game “Stray” I counted down the days until it’s release. There’s no option to review the game alone, so I’m just going to do it here. It’s a game where you play as a cat who gets separated from his pack by falling into an underground dystopian robotic world. The the cat embarks on an adventure making friends with the robots who help the cat get back to his home on the outside and the cat in return helps them. I don’t want to give too much away. But this game from the scoring to the visuals is absolutely stunning. I finished the game last summer but I still think about it and will most definitely play it again and again and again. It’s such a great game.
