Well what can I say. Why buy the PlayStation 5 console. In my opinion you will always choose where your own friends play so I’m not into console wars or trashing other consoles as there plus points to all. My self well I’ve have the privilege to play every playstion so far from 1-5 including pro model of 4. I’ve been a fan of playstation every since I got to play GTA1 on my uncles PS1 and it went from there. As a classic retro catalogue so you can relive your youth or look at what your parents played. Various accessories for the playstation 5 such as the 3D Audio Headset, Dual sense controllers or for the hardcore out there the dual sense edge. I love that I can jump online (broadband req) and play with my friends expanding my social experience. The one I don’t like about the playstation 5 is that the developers know that games made now can over 100gb to download yet the PlayStation only holds 677gb worth of content. Gamers will churn through this within days force if you to delete games and reinstall. The developers should in my opinion have offered like the PlayStations previous options on space. You can however purchase an ssd to install it is easy but I still think options should have been offered.

It prioritizes downloading the necessary game files and lets you play offline or with limited options until it’s fully downloaded. The game library is vast and full of great choices. My one gripe with modern consoles is that space goes so quickly. With cartridges, everything was onboard but with these more demanding graphics, we needed to start shoving the actual data onboard to reduce load times and make consoles work less hard. I do hope that the technology improves to where space issues are a thing of the past. Micro transactions are an annoying trend I always wish will go away. I don’t mind them for DLC but for loot and outfits, it’s all getting to be too much. The PS5 itself overall is at the top of the competition for me. It still offers many things that are a priority to me (someone who still likes to play almost exclusively offline and single player) but also seamlessly lets me play local or multiplayer when the rare occasion appeals. I’ve never had issues with overheating or freezing and purchases are well protected so they can’t be accidentally made if I’m letting a young guest use my account. Toggling options is easy to do since the menus are intuitive. Even though I’ve converted to digital purchases, I do still like the disc edition for playing my old PS4 games and any games a family member might have picked up to try. My one complaint with that it the weird direction you load the disc; the silver side doesn’t go towards the bulk of the console. But overall, it’s a solid 5 star system, competitive with the current tech and always improving. If you can spare the money for a Sony BRAVIA TV, you’ll really get a feast of sound and picture quality as they made them with the PS5 in mind.

Great Features, Great Price, Great Gaming

NEXT GEN GAMINGI had been gaming on my regular ps4 with an external hard drive for quite a while and eventually I started not liking game anymore because of how ling everything took to load and the looks of games no longer made me feel excited. When I managed to get the ps5 and started to play some games the loading times were fast. It all really just depends on what game you ate actully playing though. Some ps4 games have long intros you cant skip so the loading didnt really seem faster in that situation. Although when I was playing Horizon Zero Dawn the loading time was slightly faster. I didnt time it but it did feel a bit faster but once I got in game is where the ps5 blew me away. The whole world looked even better which astonished me because I thought it looked nice on the ps4 but on the ps5 it looked breathtaking. It felt like a completely different game. One thing I will add on top of all of this is that when I put my hand near the ps5 I felt cool air coming out of it and only towards the back of the ps5 where all the hdmi and all the other ports are it felt slightly warm. That I was not expecting. Hopefully that means that the ps5 was built to last. I could say so much more but at this point Id just be repeating myself which wouldnt make much sense because everything ive said already shows that the ps5 is next ge

I've had a PS5 for a good few months now and I have to say even though the graphics are better, they're not much better than the PS4 Pro. I get that Ray Tracing is a new feature in the latest generation of consoles but in order to have it on, in most cases you have to sacrifice the 4K screen resolution and sometimes even the frame rate, and a high frame rate is one of the biggest selling points for gaming in general. The console is oversized compared to previous generations of PS which will leave quite a few people needing to buy a new TV unit in order for the console to have an appropriate place to sit. Seriously, the console is huge and is a little bigger than some small form factor desktop PCs. The Dualsense controller is a good step up from the Dualshock 4 with the new haptic engines and dynamic triggers but this puts a lot of strain on battery life which is a big letdown. If you plan on playing PS4 games on your PS5 then I would recommend keeping at least 1 Dualshock 4 controller so you can be sure your Dualsense is always fully charged for playing PS5 games. I've played Rift Apart on this console and the controller never lasts more than 90 minutes even when fully charged. 4K BluRay support is new on the PS5 and is the best way to watch movies in true 4K and in some cases, full 12-Bit colour. It's a picture quality that the top streaming services won't achieve. Also, 4K BluRay is not new for 9th generation consoles, with a competing 8th generation console beating Sony to it. The PS5 is a very quiet console compared to the PS4 and PS3 which sound like jet engines when playing graphically intensive games.All in all, I have strongly mixed feelings about this console but I am just about happy with it and will not be going back to the PS4 Pro. Never in a million years.

Probably the most comfortable and most feature rich controller to date.The most irritating thing about the PS5, however, is its fairly small storage space. 1TB seems like a lot, but not for high end PS5 games, which sometimes can be as large as 100 GB or even more....1TB doesn't go far these days, and the games are so fast, they require a fast SSD and even getting a 2TB one is not cheap. 4TB ones are slightly more ideal, but they remain extremely expensive, often costing as much as the console. I wish it were easy and affordable to just get a cheap 8TB or more hard drive and just plug it in, but don't bother. Even though they work for playing PS4 games off of, they're extremely slow to be recognized by the console and sometimes they just don't work at all and require everything to be reset and rebooted. Prices on SSD need to come way down.

It's early days but a few observations:1. Set up and data transfer from my PS4 was very easy, though did take a while. Comparitively, when I did a data transfer from PS4 to PS4 all my save data was wiped, so very pleased that wasn't the case this time.2. It had some system bugs VERY early. In the middle of gameplay my controller started drifting and wouldn't respond to any button or joystick movement, then the whole console shut down without warning. This happened twice but ceased after I cleared the cache and rebooted the system through the settings menu.3. Following the previous bug, my console seems to think it's always being forcefully shut down. Every time I power up it shows a warning screen that says it wasn't shut down properly and that the system and ... MoreIt's early days but a few observations:1. I wasn't a fan of the physical design at first, but even I have to admit it looks pretty good out of the box. Controller fits into the hand well, though the Options/Settings buttons are a little small for me (context: I'm a girly girl with long nails). If I wasn't experiencing those 2 major system bugs it would have 5 stars.
