I've always been a huge fan of the Lego franchise in video games. I think they blend puzzle solving with humor and action in the best of ways. It's always entertaining and hardly EVER feels repetitive. The absolute bonkers amount of characters that are unlockable is exciting news to any type of Star Wars fan. This goes through every movie in the series so you can relive all your favorite scenes through your own control. All ages will love this game!

My son thoroughly enjoyed the game. It was very entertaining playing multiplayer as well. Originally I thought it might be too difficult for him being his first real adventure game but he caught on after a few failed attempts. He has played the game through twice and still comes back.It was also pretty cool seeing him become interested in the old movies after he learned about Star wars. Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a really fun engaging game.

I've only gotten to play the game for a couple of hours, but so far it's been very entertaining. It's challenging enough to keep you interested but not so much to frustrate. The visuals are the usual LEGO style photo-realistic which I find really cool. And there's also always a little humor. I also enjoy some of the open world environment and the ability to choose between following the story or exploring. And comparing the price to a lot of new games, I found this to be a steal from a value perspective. Not just inexpensive, but a truly great value for what you receive. I highly recommend the LEGO Star Wars game. I think it has a lot to offer for most people. Enjoy!

Havent opened it yet, bought it for kids' christmas gift. They like star wars and like legos, so they should like the game. I watched youtube videos of the game before purchasing. looks like it should be fun. I know i can hardly wait to play it. I might have to test it out, before xmas. Walmart had a great sales price for black friday. Bought it online Thanksgiving Day, for cuebside pickup in store on Friday. The whole transaction was very easy.
Again Lego has done an awesome job of making an interactive game with the experience of being in a parody of popular action films. Iām an adult but I still enjoy these over any of the main stream games geared towards adults. Itās fun, cute, not too realistic and some thinking is involved to solve puzzles but nothing too challenging and a great way to decompress. Itās always fun seeing the characters and their ālegoā versions. Was also a great price for a new physical title!
The game is great. Similar to typical lego play styles, but the 'open world' aspect makes it seem huge. It will take me a while to complete the story, but then I expect much longer to unlock everything in the game. I like the way you use can the force, in that you take control of an object then ice both joysticks to get it into place. However, I have noticed some minor glitches here and there. I have needed to walk away and come back for things to work correctly. Good mixed lego humor added to the story.
I bought this game for my son and he loves it. He loves all things Lego and Star Wars, however, so thatās not saying much. If you like Lego games and Star Wars, this game wonāt disappoint! His only gripe is having to use the A button for both the use of a light saber and to use the āforceā. He gets frustrated when he wants to use one and the other happens instead. I think most Lego games have similar frustrations though. Overall, itās great!
I used to play the original LEGO Star Wars games. The Complete Saga was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I remember playing the opening level of "Revenge Of The Sith" on loop to grind out studs. When I got to this level, and saw that just like many others, it was reduced to nothing more than a cutscene, I was gut wrenched. TT Games took everything that the LEGO Force Awakens game did wrong and decided to go all in on those features. What made the original games so fun were wacky takes on the movies, but I genuinely think that actually playing missions from the movies takes up at most 10% of the game. The rest is a tedious, never ending spree of side missions of translating alien text or finding characters around Tattooine. Collecting gold and silver bricks to unlock new items, upgrades and other characters not unlockable through playing the game like Jabba the Hut (who is absolutely hilarious) is easy just by smashing up anything made of Lego, which can be very satisfying. You get to play at two characters at a time and there's at least 8 in your load out. If you select the right duo combination, the interactions are unbelievably funny. Each character has an ability to solve the various puzzles and challenges, sometimes you need both your selected characters to do so which is easy enough. The lightsaber mechanics for the Jedi or Sith are the best of any Star Wars game ever. In local co-op mode you can even have duals which can be really fun. I'm going to be enjoying this game for a very long time, it's worth every penny.
Did this ruin our Christmas? No. Disappointed our little family? Yes. Completely different from previous Star Wars lego games, claustrophobic, split screen 2-player mode. Horrific controls. I was motivated to buy a switch in part by the fun we had playing previous games, now stuck with this garbage since we broke the shrink wrap. In addition to being not fun, design-wise, it crashed during the first level we played. Absolutely disgusted.
