These are a great little investment if you don't want your debit card information floating around in the great abyss of PlayStation madness. I buy these for my 13-year-old when he wants to buy something within the game since he has been hacked before. They are available in different increments and so you can budget and use them for a long time

...so they get a review...Either by purchase or gift, have gotten a lot of these, in varying amounts, over the years, and with only one glaring exception from a few years back they've all worked well. The exception was a card ordered from and delivered by BB: even though the card arrived unscratched, the revealed code was never accepted - Sony said it was invalid... go figure. After a couple of return trips to the local BB, with documentation, the manager exchanged it for another, which worked.Estimating an average of just 3.5 a year since getting the PS3 in Dec.'09, it still means only one bad out of over 40 used. Will take them odds... and it feels safer than using the credit card on the PSN.

Best card I ever bought!

Just holding the card in my hands, I had some reservations. I took it to the checkout counter anyways, because why not? Sometimes you have to live dangerously! After taking the card home, I still wasn't fully confident in my decision, so I waited before using it.Then, I had to figure out what to use as a scratching tool. My finger nails didn't do a great job at first, so I searched for something better. It was hard to find the right tool, because you never want to over scratch or you may scratch a hole in the card!Eventually, with an old brown penny, I gathered enough courage and scratched off the coating that covered the secret code. The coating came off with only minor denting of the underlying card. With the code laid bare, I logged into my PSN account and ... MoreJust holding the card in my hands, I had some reservations. Beware of the Bundle package. Its a hoax
25 June 2021

This was supposed to ve with the PS5 bundle when displayed on 6/24/21. 3 added bundle to cart. Since the console wasn't available the entire ordered should have been deleted. Guess what not the card. This is unfair and unethical. I will never consider attempting to purchase a bundle package again.Beware!! As an elite member means nothing when I explained what occurred. It's sad the organization has yo stoop so low to obtain sales.

Can't use a best buy gift card to buy a PS card. B
11 June 2021

Bought this for my son. He had a $50 best buy gift card from his aunt but they would not allow it to be used to buy a playstation card. Most ridiculous policy ever to not allow a best buy gift card to be used to purchase this product.I told my sister and she said if that the case she would have just sent him a $50 bill.Needless to say the Playstation card is great but the best buy gift card policy is not very good.

Cards still work
9 July 2022

It's a simple $50 gift card to replenish your PSN account when you don't want to link your credit card to it. Luckily it still works. I probably knew that since it wasn't a PS+ or PSNow activation card which either don't work or are adjusted for the new pricing model. So it is okay for now. There is not much else to say as I never had a problem with any of the wallet cards.

Code had already been redeemed
25 December 2021

Bought this gift card for my son for Christmas. Scratched the code off this morning and tried to redeem and says it has already been redeemed. Now I have no options for returning it or getting my money back and my son doesn’t get his gift card. Walmart won’t help me just gave me 800 numbers to call Sony directly who tells me I have to go through Walmart. I won’t be purchasing gift cards from Walmart again.

DON'T BUY A PS GIFT CARD ONLINE FROM BEST BUY!
23 December 2022

Don't buy a PS gift card from Best Buy! It was not activated when it was sent to me. My son tried to get it redeemed on the PS box several times. Then he called PS and after 2 hours was finally able to find out that it was never activated by Best Buy. I was able to get it activated via chat with Best Buy but now it won't work because he'd already tried too many times. We've been advised to wait a while and try it again. If that doesn't work we did get a number to call. The chat agent was great but Best Buy is not. Even if it does eventually work, it's so not worth the effort!!

DON'T TRUST WALMART'S GIFT CARDS
26 December 2021

DO NOT BOY PHYSICAL GIFT CARDS FROM WALMART ONLINE! I bought a $100 gift card for my son for Christmas but it was already used. Likely what happened was someone bought the card from GameStop, who prints the code on the receipt, the code was used then the now useless card was resold through Walmart. I am less upset at the lost money and more upset that it means that my son essentially did not get a gift from me this Christmas because Walmart has zero moderation when it comes for these kinds of items.
