I love how the rubber compound feels, but it'll go through a pair or two a year. Ideally I'd like a grip to last at least 2 or 3 seasons. That said, it feels great both in terms of ergonomics and grip, the best I've found in fact, but personally I feel like the texturing around the thumb could be made solid without much impact, it would be slightly less soft but that's a huge wear point for me and I'd like to believe that could be improved but changing the design of the texture in that area. Regardless, I keep buying them.

These grips are great! I liked the color because it matched my yeti. They also are more comfortable than the ODI elite pro yeti grips. It would be cool to see you guys partner with Yeti on some builds and get a color match turquoise. One suggestion I have would be to have grips that could have bar ends. Maybe design some PMW bar ends if there is a big enough market for it?🤷🏼‍♂️ It seems that ODI has a corner on the market regarding bar ends. I can say that PNW’s design, materials, and fit and finish are ahead of some other brands. It’s clean and fresh. I just think your brand has a quality that others are trying for.I will say, my favorite grips are the ODI rogue grips. I wanted to tell you this and why because maybe it will help with future designs…? The reason ... MoreThese grips are great! I liked the color because it matched my yeti. I wanted to tell you this and why because maybe it will help with future designs…? The reason is because the rogue grips absorb a lot of chatter. They can be used on long grueling rides and stem fatigue. Their compound is also very tacky while at the same time holding up to hours of abuse without wear and they wick away a good bit of water. I still have my originals after almost a year of riding in Colorado and Georgia.I hope this review helps. Thanks for making some great products with cool color designs.

The feel of these grips lives up to the hype; they're tacky and the ribs have a nice amount of give for changing grip pressure. I'm intrigued to try the larger size to compare.Gripes: the locking collar is plastic, I expected aluminum. I got the turquoise color and was surprised at how dirty they looked from just tooling around the neighborhood. For comparison, I've got some green RaceFace grips with lots of trail miles and they still look great.

I love everything PNW makes. These are great grips. Their tapered design and varying grip patterns make them comfortable and the soft material is great at absorbing impacts and preventing hot spots on your hands. The only thing that stinks is that soft material also causes them to rip easily and wear more quickly, especially because the rubber runs all the way out to the edge of the bars so if/when you dump your bike they tear easily. Other grips, like the Spank Spike for example, have a tough plastic molded cap on the end that is more resilient. Still a great option though.
I ordered 2 pairs, one for me and one for my friend.First feeeling out of the box ? extremely grippy and very pleasant to the touch, not too soft not too firm.I replaced my old ergon which was too firm for my taste and honestly I'm very happy with it, the installation instructions are clear, the choice of colors is great. ( yes, it's important for me to look good on the bike hehe)My friend likes them too, he says he feels more confident on his bike, with or without gloves.I've got about 200km on the clock and they're still as good as new, and I've had a few falls in the woods. When the opportunity arises, I'll try out the XL version, as I've got big hands.
As a tall guy with big hands, I prefer bigger MTB grips. I've found like 3 companies that make larger grips. Now that PNW joined that exclusive club, I tried their "fat" grips. I like them so far. The texture/pattern of the grips is pretty basic but that's all I need. I like the thickness and size of the grips and they're grippy enough that my gloved hands don't slip. They're competitive price-wise and they come in a bunch of cool colors. I also appreciate that they cover the bar ends so that I don't have to install plugs in my bar ends. I like PNW as a company and I live in the PNW, so I'm happy to give them my money. What else can I say about a non-moving bike part? Give these a try!
Solid set of grips. Having tried several different grips, I always come back to these. They feel very good, whether wearing gloves or no gloves. Have never had blister problems, and I have the least amount of hand fatigue in these. I wear a size large in gloves and these grips fit my hands fairly well. They should fit most hands. Only drawback to these grips is they don't last as long as other grips I have tried. Still worth it for what you get out of them.
I rode a flatbar Marin for a few years and would always end up with wrist pain that shot through my arms on more spirited rides. When I picked up a Poseidon X Ambition a few months ago, I knew I wanted a more substantial grip. At first I bought a popular ergonomic grip, but it was far too bulky and unpleasantly sticky. I realized I liked the traditional grip shape, but just wanted something, well, grippier. I took a chance on the Loam XL and it is truly a Goldilocks size for me. It doesn't feel cumbersome and has a great texture in my hands. It's cushy enough, grippy enough, and keeps me from feeling hand fatigue. I think it's also the best looking grip around with a great selection of colors. The only color missing for me is a nice pink of some sort. I highly recommend these for your MTB, gravel or even regular old fitness/commuter bike.
Replaced the OEM grips on my Polygon Siskiu T8 with new PNW Loam Grips. They are fantastic… super grippy and very comfortable. I’m able to maintain great contact with the handlebar at all times and the cushion of the grips helps cut down on hand and wrist fatigue from bumpy rides on the trails. The fruit snacks purple color catches the eye and looks great on my bike. I added a PNW dropper post lever and the Range composite pedals in the same color to complete the look.
Had these grips a while now, haven’t done much riding with them due to ill health. These grips are designed for people who don’t like wearing gloves or choose not to wear gloves. I wore gloves at first using these grips but recently went gloveless, was worried about my hands slipping as my hands tend to sweat quite a bit and those feelings was squashed once tried it for first time. No loss of grip what so ever when my hands got sweaty due the Channels. Love the Ribbed channel next to the collar as I put my hands there due riding bmx years ago. Super comfy on the hands, feel confident riding with these grips. It’s my first pair of pnw loam grips and you can bet your bottom dollar it won’t be my last. Have yet to ride in the wet and see how long they last before they ... MoreHad these grips a while now, haven’t done much riding with them due to ill health.
