I ride about 150 miles/week which includes about 6-8k feet. So sometimes I get hot here in Southern California. I have previously owned Giro and Oakley helmets but this POC does not let the heat escape like others, and therefore I get a lot of sweat dripping in my face and eyes. Granted there is a lot of padding compared, too much in my opinion. The sunglasses docking is appalling, the arms of my Oakley's are pressed against my head and if I look down the glasses can fall out, so be aware. On a ride, I am constantly pushing the glasses back in for fear of them falling out. The last thing you want is sweat in your eyes descending after a climb so a disappointing experience compared to my previous helmets. Oakley had a similar issue with sunglasses staying put but they've fixed it with the new Aro5 so I'm going back to that helmet. I'm sure this is a great helmet for casual riders or commuters so don't be too put off.

First of all, this is a great helmet in terms of the head portion. It fits really well to my contoured head (ymmv), and runs down deeper over my head than most other helmets. Not only did this give me a better fit, it also meant less movement and presumably more safety (at least it feels safer compared to my Lazer helmet which is constantly pushing backward). However, I had to return it because the ear hole size isn't adjustable, and it pressed on the bottom of my earlobes. Very unfortunate as it is otherwise wonderful. It also looks great, compared to the higher end POC helmets which I think look a little crazy.

I had an Omne Air Spin up until my bike accident about three weeks ago. I sustained a broken neck and back. My injuries would have been much worse if I had not been wearing my helmet as I hit head first also breaking my nose. By God's grace, my spinal cord was not compromised. Even though I sustained a small contusion at the helmet line and cannot account for a short period before or after the accident, I never experienced any side effects of a concussion nor was I treated for a concussion. I never considered any other replacement than a POC helmet. I wrote POC about my accident and sent pictures of my helmet. They kindly gave me a discount coupon (POC crash replacement) for any helmet. So I chose to upgrade to the Omne Air MPS. I still have not gotten to wear it as ... MoreI had an Omne Air Spin up until my bike accident about three weeks ago. I sustained a broken neck and back. Firstly, the mips integration is really slick and clean. Definitely none of that gross inner shell vibe on early mips helmets. The lack of adjustability is the biggest problem though. The drive side is locked in place because where the strap passes through the back of the helmet is glued and stitched. This means you can only adjust one side of the helmet.Next, for the price point, the level of finish is low compared to other brands. For nearly $200, I would expect trim over the EPS on the underside of the brim.I really liked the colour in the photos but in real life, the finish lacked the lustre of the studio shots. Would have to try in a shop before considering purchase again
Looks and construction wise, this helmet is really nice and well priced vs the higher end offerings from POC. It does however weigh more than the octal or ventral. Spin or MIPS is a must offering for a modern helmet, for something as important as your head you should always opt for a helmet with one of these features. The white colour is very nice and my preferred option for helmets as it does keep you cooler in the summer sun. This helmet for whatever reason did not fit my head as well as I would have hoped. I have experience with an older POC Ventral helmet which fit my head perfectly, I have a 55cm circumference and bought a medium. The front of the helmet felt tight to me at whichever setting, which is odd as I didn't have any problems with the ventral in the ... MoreLooks and construction wise, this helmet is really nice and well priced vs the higher end offerings from POC. The front of the helmet felt tight to me at whichever setting, which is odd as I didn't have any problems with the ventral in the same size. Overall good looks, and the extra weight feels very negligible. However if your head is more oval than round, i'd recommend trying it first before purchase.
Overall I’m happy with the helmet. However it’s heavier than I’m accustomed to. The weight seems to tilt the helmet forward, which puts more pressure on the forehead. You can feel the pressure of inner ridges against the front. On long hot rides, this squeezed out the sweat and dripped all over my eyes. I think a bit of adjustment would help. One bit flaw is that the straps around the ears are NOT adjustable and they happen to be a bit short. The bottom of my ears feel rubbing. The MIPS version has this problem fixed with larger space for the ears. The fit of this SPIN one and MIPS one are generally very similar but the ear straps are more spacious on the mips. I got this one for a great price so I’ll be keeping it for lighter rides.I have a round head where the ... MoreOverall I’m happy with the helmet. However it’s heavier than I’m accustomed to. I purchased this helmet a month ago for the added protection MIPS provides and have ridden 300+km with it on about 20 rides. I've ridden in temperatures just above freezing through to our current 30°C+ temperatures. The helmet is very easy to adjust and naturally sits well on my head. It feels completely secure while riding, which in my case is on paved paths and unpaved trails. The helmet provides outstanding airflow and is thus great on warm or hot days. I chose white to reflect the sun and to increase my visibility a bit. I am completely satisfied with this helmet and recommend it to anyone riding in warmer weather.
It's a very nice helmet and had a good fit for the shell. I bought a small and the straps do not go low enough to fit under my ears. There is no way to adjust this, which seems like a large oversight.I do not have an unusual head shape, so I think this is a week known problem. Because I really like this helmet otherwise, I had it tailored to fit, which involved removing their silly plastic ear pieces and having it stitched in place to fit me perfectly. A solution which I shouldn't have had to do but works well enough. Hopefully they correct this in the future.
The helmet is way to small, like WAY TOO SMALL. I'm a size ~58 and this supposedly fits a size 61. I had someone with a much smaller head try it on and they didn't find the sizing right either. The adjustment at the back only elongates the helmet, but the helmet isn't wide enough to accommodate larger heads in the first place. I fit well enough in a large Fox Speedframe, but this helmet doesn't even cover the top of my head (I ordered the largest size). Furthermore, DO NOT IGNORE THE STRAP REVIEWS. The strap issue that has been pointed out by many online, on reddit, and reviews here. There was no update or fix, they are ridiculously small/short. The marketing photos of the people with the helmet on is quite deceiving. I'm assuming they are using the same size ... MoreThe helmet is way to small, like WAY TOO SMALL. The marketing photos of the people with the helmet on is quite deceiving. I'm assuming they are using the same size UNADJUSTABLE strap for all the sizes? This item was sold as a finale sale, I tried chatting with POC and explaining how the sizing wasn't quite what I expected but was eventually denied a return. Luckily I purchased it on sale so I didn't loose too much, but if I paid full price I would feel horrible. This is my first POC purchase, and paired with absurd sizing and return policy (though clearly labeled on the website and throughout the checkout process) I think I will stick to Fox for MTB and try my luck with other brands for road stuff. It might be perfect for you, but if know you don't fit well in department store/medium sized helmets, I advise that you look elsewhere or at the very least TRY IT ON FIRST.
