Aerodynamic performance, safety and ventilation do not need to come at the expense of each other. By using their whole-helmet approach to development, POC have been able to deliver unparalleled levels of aerodynamic performance, safety and ventilation without compromise in the ventral mips. Taking inspiration from the venturi effect, the helmets airflow zones allow the helmet to pass through the air with greater efficiency, making it faster. Residual air traveling around the helmet is managed by the 22 aero trailing edge, the perfect angle for minimizing turbulence, further improving aerodynamic performance. By leading air through rather than around the helmet, its wake is minimized, while its ventilation and cooling properties are enhanced. Other features of the whole-helmet approach include a fully wrapped unibody shell with an eps liner for the ideal balance between weight and protection. Now including mips for enhanced rotational impact protection, the helmet also features a lightweight adjustment system spanning the whole head for a comfortable and secure fit.

I've had a Kask Protone for almost 5 years so when decided it was time (well a bit over, really) for a new lid I thought long and hard about whether just to go with what I knew or try something new. I've always liked the shape of the Kask range, but having bought my son a POC mountain bike helmet this summer I noticed the amazing quality and finish in everything that POC does so thought I'd try something new. After trying on the Ventral I loved it straight away. I mean its a helmet, so doesn't look "cool" but the fit is superb and its nowhere near as bulky or odd as many others. First rides have been great, with plenty of airflow and low wind noise, and the glasses "garage" is a total win. I'm very happy so far as I head into winter.

Ventral Mips is a great helmet. Looks good, feels light, very ventilated. I don’t like the bright white straps on the Mips model. Although I clean my helmet, padding, and straps after every ride, the bright white straps are harder to keep looking white. I prefer the light grey straps on the white ventral Spin model. This helmet is nearly impossible to wear a cycling cap under comfortably without it feeling too tight and uneven pressure points for a cold weather ride greater than 2 hours. I find myself loosening the fit almost the entire amount and constantly adjusting.

Comfortable and light helmet. The cerussite colour is a bit more coffee brown than the pictures on the website.I don’t own a wind tunnel so it’s hard to tell if it’s really more aero than a standard helmet, but I’d like to believe so.Ventilation has not been an issue, feels like any other vented helmet.

Comfy. Feels breezy enough, my previous helmet was the million-vent types so it's hard to compare. Looks nice, straps feel good, fits well, presumably it protects my skull & is aero.
I haven’t had much experience with high end helmets before, but this certainly feels more premium than anything I’ve had before. The comfort is excellent and the adjustability is great, allowing for a great fit. The straps are easily adjusted to get them right where you want them. The MiPS system is unobtrusive compared to a previous helmet I used.Ventilation is great, more than good enough for UK weather, but I do wonder if the Air would be better if you ride abroad a lot.
I am very impressed with the fit of the helmet. very comfortable and does not move specially on gravel rides. The color on the picture looked brighter the in real life, but I still like the color (yellow, mustard color?). The straps are also very conformable. I honestly forgot I was wearing a helmet that's how comfortable the helmet is. I would strongly recommended.
I’ve never bought a better fitting and comfortable helmet. My previous helmet was a s-works evade. I got the poc ventro mips. Far superior air flow and light weight feel. The ventilation is absolutely phenomenal, I wear my helmet atop my cycling cap, headband system is much less moist than my s-works after a long ride.
My favorite helmet! I crashed in one of these last year, loved it but was balking at the price (even with crash replacement discount) so got the cheaper Air version...a year later still wanted my proper Ventral so got it again in white. Lovely helmet. Looks good, comfortable, but the straps are a little long. I really wish POC made a size in between medium and large.
It’s very comfy and warmer than my V lite. I like the adjustment dial as I have a lot of hair and with a winter cap things can get tight but I do not have that worry with this lid . This will be my winter lid . POC . Still the best helmets in my opinion .RBT Toronto CDN
I love the helmet, but it's not as comfy as my Ventral air NFC or my Octal. It's almost a little narrow or something above the ears.I like it's profile as the Octal is bulbous, but is that why it's a little tight on the sides? Also, we need this helmet in the black plastic with white foam. . . Like my NFC ventral Air.
