Understand your workout better and get more effective results with the Polar H7 Bluetooth Smart heart rate sensor. This triple-action heart rate sensor provides your real-time heart rate to mobile training apps, many Polar products and compatible gym equipment. The Polar H7 heart rate sensor is compatible with Bluetooth Smart ready devices that support heart rate service (see compatibility list below). A separate smartphone app (such as the free Polar Beat) is required to view your heart rate data. When you use the H7 for the first time, you will need to pair it with your device. After that, wrap the H7 heart rate sensor around your chest and begin your workout. Gym equipment with Polar heart rate technology inside will sync with the H7 heart rate sensor. This means you will get hands-free heart rate measurement. Plus, the H7 heart rate sensor picks up your heart rate only and not other heart rate monitors nearby.

I am disappointed in this product. es it picks up my heart rate, but I have to download the polar app to monitor it and the polar app wants way too much personal information ( name, birth date, location identification) without the option of restricting how that information is used. I was hoping for a sensor that I could use with a wrist monitor and not something that required another app. I use an app to monitor speed and distance when I am biking and don't want to either override that app on my phone screen with the Polar app or not be able to monitor my heart rate because the other app is running on my phone screen. I am disappointed with this $60 sensor that cannot provide me with useful information while I exercise outside.

Polar is known for it's accuracy and they are one of the pioneers in the heart sensor athletic area. It's not for everyone I guess but it works great for me. I also got a matching Polar Bluetooth Smart cadence sensor as well that also paired up nicely with the Bryton 15 Neo. The following applies to the related bike sensor by Polar which is not part of this product but related to those who are cyclists and may be interested. As mentioned earlier, the bike sensors though very compact have non user replaceable batteries in them. The Polar company would like customers to think they need to buy a whole new sensor. I think that was a bad decision on the part of the company because customers just won't do that. Instead they buy a competing product instead. I'm sure the company has see a decline in the usage of their cycling computers as a result. In fact, I beleive they no longer make a bike computer. They shot theirself in the foot with that non user replacable battery. The good news however, you can pry the bike sensor apart with a razor blade and replace the interior battery its a cr 1632 and there is a YT video on line that shows you how to do it very easy if your a little handy.

Even though I tried to be active outside of the gym, I didn't have confidence that my efforts would pay off. I thought about getting a fit bit or other wristband type of tracker, but really wasn't keen on the idea of wearing it all day and read mixed reviews on the heartbeat accuracy during intense workouts. This is exactly what I was looking for and I couldn't be more pleased with how comfortable it is to wear, easy it is to use and take care of, and that it has exactly the type of information I need right on my phone. Knowing when I need to push myself harder to get into a higher intensity zone, being able to workout in a way I actually enjoy (gasp!) and can still see how many calories I am burning, and starting to understand which specific exercises are more and less effective in my cardio routines has given me an amazing, fresh boost of motivation and confidence. Highly recommend to everyone - especially if you've always wished you could just do Zumba in your basement instead of dragging yourself to the gym ;)

Good heart rate tracking

Actually, I like the H7 monitor and Polar Beat app a lot, but have several issues.Getting started can be a challenge because the monitor and app don't seem to want to connect to each other. Having to power cycle the phone before exercising is not ok.Integration with other fitness programs is terrible. I use MyFitnessPal as my fitness "hub". Garmin Connect works with it (although not as well as it might.) Polar Beat does not. Jerry-rigging the connection through Google fit is less than useful because the calorie count changes as it goes through the apps. Not to mention useful information being lost. Polar Beat isn't alone in the lousy integration category but it gets an "F" in my book. The app should allow naming a session and editing a session after it has been ... MoreActually, I like the H7 monitor and Polar Beat app a lot, but have several issues.Getting started can be a challenge because the monitor and app don't seem to want to connect to each other. And if they really want a good product, the edits should carry over to linked apps (like MyFitnessPal)Long and short: I recommend it if heart rate accuracy is your main goal. If coordination with other apps is more important Garmin Connect does a better job.

I have developed a dislike to Polar. The new one only week or two old, today started with the wild numbers to day! This one had very low numbers (10 BPM) and crazy high(230)???Not happy.

POLAR 7
17 March 2019

This is my fourth Polar 7 purchase over the last 2 1/2 years. In the past I have sent in Polar 7 for repair, but the cost of this was so high(2 shipping charges + $ 13.95 service charge) that it made sense to buy a new one.I keep extras around to make sure I have one that works. When it works, it's great. When cold it can give readings that jump in wild spikes from 0 to 200 bpm.Warming the sensor reduces these fluctuations to a minimum so I put on the Polar 7 with strap about 30 minutes before my exercise session begins.Reversing the strap and putting the Polar 7 sensor up against my skim works even better.Polar 7 functions only when in WIFI range such as Gym or at home.

Polar H7 Heart Rate Monitor

Have just ordered another item from HRM USA, a Polar H7 Heart Rate sensor. This replaces one I bought less than two years ago but which never did perform as Polar claimed it should and for which Polar never did anything more than refer me to websites on how to wear it properly--which I had been doing all along. The new sensor arrived and is performing very well. I am marking the product down one grade for what I perceive to be less than adequate customer service from Polar. As for HRM, can't remember exactly how long I've been dealing with them but really liked doing business with them years ago and the feeling has never changed.I love it that if I need to phone about something, I connect to a real person who knows what they are doing and cares about what I call ... MoreHave just ordered another item from HRM USA, a Polar H7 Heart Rate sensor. Polar H7 Strap

I really enjoy this heart rate strap! I have tried fitbit and a chinese version but found them to be inaccurate at higher intensities and the band were uncomfortable. This provides continuous accurate reporting during exercise and I never notice it's on! Biking, running, kickboxing, or stairs - it's great! During exercise, I pair with the polar bear app to get a record of my heart rate throughout the session. The rest of the day, I wear the polar loop to track my daily activity. I am still finding the best way to use it, but so far great! Everything syncs to the polar loop app. Awesome for a regular gymrat! Also, super fast delivery and great customer service :)

I recently purchased a Concept 2 rower. This monitor is available from Concept 2 at a higher price, so I ordered it here. I only mention the Concept 2 because the Concept 2 PM5 monitor is what I pair this with. It links up easily to the PM5 monitor, once I got used to using the PM5. What someone else is pairing this with, I can't speak to.I had originally thought that this monitor was perhaps an unnecessary purchase, since I am very familiar with my target heart range during an aerobic workout. I just kind of know how my body feels. But this monitor pinpoints where I am exactly. I have seen how I can stay at the same pace as far as strokes per minute, yet put more power into each drive, or stroke. The monitor will show that my heart rate has gone up.
