I bought my first Polaris 360 15 years ago and used it until it essentially died this summer. During this time, I was able to repair it myself, replacing 2 sets of belts, caulking here and there and performinh general maintenance. 3 years ago I thought I 'd "upgrade" to a robotic pool clearer, the AquaBot, which worked well, scrubbed sides of the pool and vacuuming well but the company went bankrupt and I had nowhere to turn when it did not start the 3rd year. I bought a Viper Seagull which has limited capacity but needed more power and efficiency which lead to my recent purchase of the Polaris. Because parts are interchangeable, I kept my old Polaris from which I can pirate parts.

it was finally time to get a new pool cleaner and after much research I ended up purchasing the same model I had before because it worked for 14 years no problem. But I will say Leslie's saved me during a not so good Financial period because of course everything breaks down when you're broke, right? I was able to make payments and get what I needed to maintain my pool before it turned into an Emerald Lake full of algae. In addition customer service is tops and the young man working there that day was very kind and helpful. Brief but friendly interactions over the phone and in person make a huge difference in my opinion of companies. Leslie's definitely will get my business again and in the future. We Foster a lot of dogs and they enjoyed it as well :-)

This is suppose to be one of the best pressure pool cleaners. After purchasing I found out this is good for small to medium size pools. I have a 30 x 50 pool and these types of pool cleaners don't work for the size of my pool. You need way too much extension tube and with more extension tube, you need more pump pressure. I have to plugs water holes just to get the necessary pump pressure to run this cleaner. Even with that it doesn't ever clean the whole pool. If your pool is large, take out a loan if you have to an get a robotic pool cleaner. That's what I eventually did.

Replaced my suction side cleaner with this cleaner. I'm very impressed by the cleaner. It's easy to assemble and works great. I moves around the pool very quickly which helps ensure that you'll get full coverage and a spotless pool floor. My only complaint is the design of the swivel nuts which seem to leak water but that issue doesn't degrade performance.The other great thing about pressure side cleaners is the fact captured debris doesn't get pulled into your pool filter. Instead, debris is actually removed from your pool and system. Great product!
The first Polaris 360 arrived, not in the original box! Upon opening I had the impression that this unit was either used or was a return. The packing was crude and inadequate. When I hooked it up per the instructions, the unit rolled over on it’s side and remained on the bottom of the pool with wheels spinning. When uprighted it would move to a pool wall and roll over on its side. PSS sent out a replacement and I returned the original unit in it’s shipping box as originally packed. That box was placed in a bigger box for the return shipment.
Replaced Jandy RayVac which is a far superior pressure side pool sweep in every aspect. The Polaris 360 staggers on good random coverage of the pool bottom and requires twice the pump run time. The unit does very poorly against walls and in corners. The 9-100-1014(Velcro)bag does a good job in collecting fine particles. The bag is difficult to completely clean out debris. I swap out a clean spare bag. Installation conversion was relatively easy, including tuning the pressure and overall assembly. The 3/4 inch to 11/2 wall adapter is not included. The wheels easily slip and do not track when approaching an upward slope of a wall or corners. The reverse valve does pull it out, but often tracks right back to the same spot. Instructions were relatively easy for the 360. Splicing and connecting the hoses (to shorten) was/is more difficult. I can't get a good seal; I've tried twice so far to redo them. I had a 280 and the connections were much easier to make on the hoses for that Polaris. Also, I can't find anywhere on the listing where tax would be added to the sale price; I only found out at the final checkout when it was too late. I guess that's the law now? But I thought it would be made more clear. :\ Other than that, I feel confident it will do a good job of picking up leaves and debris.
I’m shocked that after sooooo many years this pool vacuum is still the ONLY option for our pool. I really miss the old Stingray vacuum and wish they would modify it and bring it back. I have an average pool and I’ve had two Poseidon 360’s; none climbed walls or steps!!! It leaves most of the dirt, debris at the bottom! Also, my biggest complaint is that we have to practically clean the hose/wall filter daily - if you don’t the vacuum will not move much as the tiny filter clogs up EASILY!
This thing is a piece of junk. Hose connections leaking like a sieve. Why they don’t just give you ONE hose to cut to fit your pool is beyond me. Instead these geniuses give you a hose with 10 connection point. aka 10 points of failure. Good luck trying to tighten connections. Bag doesn’t stay clipped either and velcro gets filthy with debris. Returning.
Worked great for a week. Always wanted one. Waste of money. I had pool people take a look. More then enough pressure. No leaks. The back up valve evidently is broke. I’m not buying a new one. Continues to spray water. The wheels turn slow forward if at all and it does not back up. A month old 3 weeks trying to figure out what I did wrong. I don’t have the time or patience.
