PolarPro 67mm QuartzLine Circular Polarizer Filter
The 67mm QuartzLine Circular Polarizer Filter from PolarPro helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a nonmetallic surface. The light from the sun naturally becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges and filters this directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from nonmetallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage. I have been looking for quality filters for my camera for a long time. I have read numerous articles and watched a lot of videos on YouTube until I settled on PolarPro's quartzline filters. I mainly shoot outdoors, and I needed something strong and durable to withstand the challenges that nature throws at my gear. PolarPro's filters are extremely well made and heavy duty. I can shoot all day without ever worrying about them getting scratched or damaged. On top of that, they offer the highest quality, optically. They are a premium product with a premium price but worth absolutely every penny. I highly recommend their filters and would for sure buy more down the road. Thank you PolarPro.

Everyone loves these filters - and they are terrific. But PolarPro is not including pouches anymore with them, unless it's a CP. For some reason, with a CP, you get a pouch. PolarPro has put their money into creating A LOT of packaging - nice display boxes, etc. Each lens is held in a hard, well made case. But you won't be packing any of these boxes/cases in your camera bag. They call it "eco-friendly", but to me it's "eco-waste". People won't save all this packaging, unless they think they might re-sell the lenses in the future. All of this extra packaging is clearly well made, but also clearly impractical. Got my filter in the mail and was disappointed to find I couldn’t release it from its case. It seemed it came cross threaded and I was pretty bummed about not being able to try it out.After chatting with a customer service rep, polar pro sent me a new filter which was super simple to release from its case.Im enjoying the product, it’s top notch, but even more so, I am so grateful for the no hassle customer service. This product is not only worth the buy, but polar pro stands behind it enough to make sure you’re happy with it.I’ll definitely be purchasing from here again.

I own several of the Polar Prop QuartzLine filters and in general, they are amazing. The only issue is that they are a bit to thick and can cause some issues for certain lenses. I put the UV Filter ont two of my Sony G-Master lenses (each different thread size), and both times the filter was so thick that the lens hood could not be attached. It looks like the ridges on the UV Filter cause it to be thicker then other filters out there like the Hoya or Tiffen brand ones, so depending on your lens hood, you may not be able to get it on if you use the Polar Pro filter. Still, the filters that do fit are amazing and definitely worth getting!
Let's say the pros first.PROS1. I LOVE the materials used to create this filter. Brass with Quartz Glass make it sturdy and better scratch resistance second to none.2. Optics are amazing. Polarization is great compared to many other polarizer out there.CONS1. 2nd Editions come in this ECO friendly packaging WITHOUT soft pouch compared to the first edition. Box feels like PolarPro cheaped out a little bit.2. There is no indicator or haptic feedback on the rotation wheel like the PMVND filter 2nd Edition. Turning the wheel feels extremely weird and sometimes you don't know where you want the wheel to be on the rotation for best polar results.3. This filter has slightly wider outer diameter which interferes with lens hood on Zeiss Batis lenses. It is made this way so it is easier to unscrew it but I cannot use the filter with my lenses. In this case I rather have single larger filter for all my lenses.2nd over engineering problem is packaging. This series uses metal sheet of metal for nicer packaging adding unnecessary weight. Those things add up in your backpack on long hikes. Overall build quality is great, though the polarization effect is very minimal. Get much more polarization from my CPL that works integrally with my 100mm square filter setup. Minimal effect with with wide angle and almost zero with a lens over 200mm. Bought this for traveling as it is much more compact than my square filter setup. Comes in a well built, sturdy case and build quality of the CPL itself is great, just wish it had more of a polarizing effect. If you are only looking to take a bit of the glare off water and a slight color enhancement to sky, you won’t be disappointed with this filter.
Early in the month of December 2022, I ordered the 77mm UV filter from PolarPro direct. I was happy to discover that the filter came with what appears to be a new filter case design similar to the VND Edition II cases which I have in the 67, 77, and 82mm filter threads. The cases are vital for my hybrid shooting style especially in inclement weather conditions and various circumstances. It is also extremely help that the PolarPro CPLs (I have the 67, 77, and 82mm filters as well) can fit the UV filters' circular case (at least for the 77mm). Later in the month, I ordered the 67mm and 82mm UV filters to have a better system for swapping between the CPL and UV filters. The products that I've purchased may be of great quality, minus the inconsistencies, but if the PolarPro customer service refuses to return any communication, I'm concerned about them honoring their "Adventure Assurance" warranty for the products I've purchased over the recent year. The UV filters are being returned due to PolarPro not standing by their product.
These filters will vignette on your wide angle lens. I have a UV filter attached to my Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L lens for weatherproofing purposes. The UV filter I use is a B+W XS-Pro mount filter which is very thin. Usually I would stack an extra B+W filter on top whenever needed, such as a polarizer, never had vignetting issues. This filter is so thick, it vignettes until I zoom past 24mm. Since no other brand makes combination filters (ND+Polarizer) I am keeping one and returning the other 2 as there are some uses once I zoom past 24mm. The PolarPro filter is way thicker than any B+W and Hoya filters I own. If you have a wide angle lens, I do not recommend this. I've used other brands of filters over the years. I've switched to PolarPro as I was impressed with their ND filters. This filter is well built and comes in a nice metal case to protect it in your bag. The ring is a bit stiffer to turn than most, but it's not an issue. I've been really happy with the results. Since I live in Florida, the summer clouds are our mountains. I love using a CPL to bring out the details in the clouds and darken the blue sky to give extra pop when I convert to B&W. I'll be buying more PolarPro products in the future!
