For whatever reason Polo seems to play mind games with us men, as they’ll produce a sizzling cologne, that just falls by the wayside. The only one of theirs with projection is Red Extreme, but that’s for the cold months. First off the presentation on the box and bottle are A plus. Yes the glass will be a fingerprint indicator, but the golden top is a nice touch. The Polo emblem is as well. This looks more than it costs. I got this 4.2 ounce for $99, which is next to nothing with designer fragrances. Do the math on 4.2 ounces, and that pricing is very competitive. The atomizer is impeccable. What a straight shot of cloud this produces. This was first released in 2019, and from what has been discovered, it’s a seasonal item at department stores. It’s eye catching blue bottle and that scent can dull your senses. It’s a skin scent though. No projection at all, and as a beast mode lover, you’re going to need a lot of sprays to compete with everything around you. If for a close intimate experience, this one is amazing. Women have told me this is very enticing, and it has been a wingman here and there. It is a sultry and seductive combination, and probably is best with dress clothes or a suit. The note list is simply astounding. They got a lot in one cologne, but it does work in these conditions. Grapefruit, lavender, ginger, cantaloupe, green apple, sage, cardamom, patchouli, vetiver, and frankincense. That’s a heavy hitter and initially, this is what delivers the grand slam. Soon it is a double or single. I will give them an A for how these mix, and a shame the dry down has nothing, on that truly uplifting opening. Beyond beautiful is how it smells at first, and I hope they’ll reformulate this with some ambroxan for a kick up in strength. Until they do, I have to be realistic with my rating. This is a very seductive masculine cologne. Scent wise alone this smokes all of the other Ralph Lauren line. It’s a shame that it’s only a short lasting skin scent. I did try to spray it on clothes, but no discernible difference. This is a heartbreaker as it has all the potential, but falls short of the upper echelon. It gets a conditional recommendation, in the intimate settings. Yet a cologne really should be more versatile than that. Will update this if the designer reformulates, as this is a would of, could have cologne and not a must.

I received today’s product compliments of Ralph Lauren Fragrances #GiftedbyRalphLaurenFragrances. Of course, I love the Ralph Lauren brand and am admittedly more familiar with their classic polos and business casual attire than I am their line of fragrances. The concept behind this fragrance seems very minimalistic and simple. There is not much in the design of the packaging to distract from the pure premise of this parfum, which seems like your quintessential “handsome” smell. The top notes consist of Mandarin and cardamom oils, however you’d have to strain to find them above the overwhelming nature of the pink pepper. I also am sensitive to the bitterness sometimes found in clary sage, which is featured as a middle note. Resting on a heart of patchouli and smoky smelling oakwood, this is in my interpretation a very masculine fragrance that does not shy away from some of the more bold olfactory notes. Did I like how this smelled on me? Not exactly. There was something off between this fragrance and my skin’s chemistry with the dry down - smelling borderline sour and overwhelmingly peppery. The scent got better over time as it dissipated, and I got to appreciate some of the more muted notes such as jasmine and lavender. Still, I would consider this a very “sharp” fragrance that should probably be sprayed only once in most situations.

A nice twist on a classic

I received this sample free in exchange for my honest review. My husband loves it. It's a pleasant aquatic parfum that smells like a day at the beach. It starts out strong with strong notes of mandarin, cucumber and melon. As it dries down you start to smell the spices sage and basil that blend nicely with geranium. It finishes with a pleasant mix of oak, musk and patchouli. It's a familiar scent but sometimes that's a good thing. It lasts about 6-7 hours and will bring lots of compliments from both men and women. It's fresh,clean and sexy all at the same time. I would recommend it to anyone who likes aquatic and woodsy fragrances.

Pretty good, not too masculine or overpowering.

I’m a fragrance junkie. This cologne smells good, but it’s not something I would necessarily seek out. I’m a woman so I wouldn’t wear this personally but I do pick out colognes for my bf and this isn’t something I would pick for him. If I smelled it on him, I wouldn’t mind tho. I just wouldn’t feel the need to say “mmm you smell good!” like I do with other colognes. I actually wanted to give this a 3.5 but that’s not an option so I’ll just go with 4.
