Polo Ralph Lauren - Classic Fit Mesh Polo in Black

Purchased at Macys. This is the Ralph Lauren classic fit polo shirt. They have been selling this collared shirt for decades, they often update the selection of colors available. These are long lasting, quality shirts. The fabric is perfect, not too thick or thin. Can be worn anytime during the year. These last several years before showing signs of wear or age. My husband wears these at work.

'24 classic fit RL Polos narrow, straight, short

We purchased three Ralph Lauren Polo shirts, both mesh and soft cotton, size large, classic fit, June 2024, assuming they would fit like previous shirts from 1-2 years ago. My husband looks weird in the new "classic fit" polo of 2024. The shirts are narrow, straight, short; sleeves are narrow, short. So disappointed in the style. Looks like a quasi classic/slim fit, and he does not want to wear them. Money spent for nothing--he must continue to wear the old sz large "classic fit" polos until he finds a brand that fits.

Beautiful colour and fits great!

I loved the colour and bought this for my dad for his birthday - he's said definitely not a slim fit but looking at the measurements he would be still within the sizing and thought I'd take my chances. Actually fit really great and didn't need sizing up! Read a similar review also that sizing wouldn't be an issue and completely agree so thank you! My dad loves it too, comfortable to wear and not clingy or anything either. Lovely colour for summer and to brighten up those grey days too.

Fabric is thin cotton, great for warm weather

Pros: Bought 5 of these shirts. There are thin cotton shirts, not like the traditional Polo shirts, would be great for very warm weather. Colors are very nice, Polo emblem is multi-colored, and well sowen.Cons: Sleeves are short, about 2/3 of the way to the elbow. Fabric wrinkles easily; after washing and removing from the dryer i could see the wrinkles throughout the shirts.

Good classic shirts

It's hard to find shirts that are 100% cotton these days. Like all Ralph Lauren shirts, it fits me fine in the body but a bit tight around the neck compared to other polo shirt brands at the same size (medium). Take that into account if you plan on buttoning it up all the way. But if you don't like to button up your polos all the way, it shouldn't be an issue. It's clearly a high quality shirt and I really appreciate that it's all natural fiber and no synthetic threads. I would highly recommend this shirt.

It looks like someone ran over it….

I bought the polo shirt online. Whoever packed the order folded it and put it in a 6x6 shipping bag but didn’t stick the seal all the way across. So after it made its way here I notice they hadn’t sealed it all the way and you can see the shirt inside without opening it. There is a dirt or grease mark on the shirt inside the shipping bag. It looks like being ran over. So I guess you can say I’m not too pleased with my purchased and can hardly wait to drive 30 minutes to the closest macys to return it. I would give it negative stars if that was an option.

Lower quality? - Made in Vietnam

Bought two of same size and same fit, but one was with lower quality fabric (stiff and rough) and also the size was way small. The difference? One made in Turkey and one in Vietnam. If I have to guess product made in Vietnam was meant to be sold at outlet malls at a lower price. Someone decided to mix it up to make a few extra bucks! That's how corporates work, its all about profits! I am taking the time to write this is because this is second time happened to me in a last three years, meaning this was not one time mix-up. Returning!!!

Nice Shirt. Great fabric and colors, BUT

I normally wear an XL shirt. I bought two polos and the XL is gigantic one me. It's like a dress and the sleeves are really long. I exchanged them for size large. The large length is perfect, but the shoulder width is way off. The shirt is so tight on my shoulders, I can't wear it. I am really disappointed because I really like these shirts. Now I have $140 worth of shirts that will be donated to the Goodwill. And my search for a polo shirt that fits continues. Right now, Volcom make the only polo that fit me.

Online Quality

Most clothing i bought from Macy's online had to be reuturned due to poor quality or fitting and stitching finish. It seems they selleing compromising merchandise to online shoppers, I have been wearing same brands for years and never had this issue, even if i buy in store its completely different. Watch out for last call items as they are not returnable. Very bad business strategy by Macy's. Not to mention giving bad name to top brands as they selling cheaper quality to online shoppers for the same price as in person shopping.

Quality has gone down

I been wearing the mesh polo shirt for 30 years but the quality in the past 4 or 5 years has deteriorated. The collars either shrink up tight or lay flat but with ends at the front curling up. It looks terrible like a cheap shirt. Also the ribbing on the sleeves(short sleeve) folds up and does not have the elasticity of the older shirts. Again, this is a cheap low quality shirt feature. I bought these shirts at a Macy’s and also at a Polo outlet store. I’m done with polo. They are now low quality and high priced I’m sad to say.
