If you’ve never heard of or played “Pop the Pig”…you’re sincerely missing out! My kiddos (ages 4 and 6) as well as my speech kiddos (3-13) adore this game! If I am being honest…I kind of love it, too! It’s easy to play/learn. Kids pick a hamburger to feed the pig with a number on the bottom of it. They have to push his chef’s hat that many times (and during speech- it means they have to say their word, give me a sentence, use that many sound loaded words, giving students lots and lots of repetitions!). Whoever pops the pig…WINS! You thought I was going to say loses, didn’t you? :)! It’s fabulous fun and always brings about smiles, laughter, and a little bit of suspense. ***A FANTASTIC gift for kids 3+ (small pieces so always be present for playing!)…that will give ... MoreIf you’ve never heard of or played “Pop the Pig”…you’re sincerely missing out! This game is so fun! It helped my 3 year start to learn numbers and helped with colors as well! The assembly is easy and storage is great for all of the pieces. The pieces are bigger but still be cautious of a smaller child putting it their mouth.

I have a 3 year old sister and 1.5 year old brother who loved this game! It’s great for learning numbers and colors. Playing this kept them occupied and entertained for a few hours! It is great for kids, my only complaint being when pushing the head down on the pig it’s a little hard for the kids to do themselves. Otherwise super easy instructions!

This is such a simple game that is loads of fun with the little ones. I play this almost everyday with them. They absolutely love it. I would definitely keep away from children under 4. The little burgers are about the diameter of a quarter and about an inch thick.
After reading the glowing reviews I thought this would be a great game for my 4 year old grandson. Firstly the head is actually quite difficult for little ones to push down fully, and then even after we had 'fed' the pig all the burgers it had still not popped. In fact I had to continuously push its head for another 10 or so times before it popped. Very disappointing as the whole appeal of these games is meant to be the surprise of not knowing when it will pop - where is the fun if it doesn't pop at all ? With so many positive reviews it may be that we got a faulty pig - either way, it is a disappointment.
Safe to say this game is fun to play. We picked one up for my nephew for whenever he is over on weekends and its a blast to watch him play. He had so much playing that when our niece saw him in a video she asked for one, and naturally we had to get her one of her own. Safe to say we have given about 3 of these away as gifts and all the kids love playing, its perfect because for the little ones they focus on colors and counting. For older kids or adults playing with little ones it is just fun to see if we can win by not popping the pig. We all have laughs whenever we play. The little burgers are small, so you should be careful with little ones, also we did have one little burger come apart but that might have been because my nephew was pulling on it, and it did pop ... MoreSafe to say this game is fun to play. Pop the pig, by Goliath Games, is a game for toddlers and kids. Our little piggy won't be little for long! Roll the dice and feed him burgers to watch his tummy grow and grow and grow -- all while learning colours and numbers. I’ve bought this game twice (I gave the first one to my parents to keep at their house for the grandkids) and the first one I bought was missing one yellow hamburger and part of the belt buckle. This did not render the game unplayable so it really wasn’t a big deal. The second one I bought was perfect. There just appears to be some sort of quality control issue here. Hence, the 4 stars and not 5.Despite the missing pieces, this is a great game for toddlers. My kids who are 3 and 4 LOVE this game. My daughter first encountered it at her preschool and she talked about it every day. It’s easy for them to understand, making it a game they can play without parental involvement (the cornerstone of any excellent toddler game). I feel like it probably would not appeal to ... MoreI’ve bought this game twice (I gave the first one to my parents to keep at their house for the grandkids) and the first one I bought was missing one yellow hamburger and part of the belt buckle. I feel like it probably would not appeal to kids much older than preschool because it is pretty simple and only requires counting/number recognition up to number 4.
This is a game you can only play a couple times in a row before it gets too repetitive. Price is fair for what you get... game is easy for kids to comprehend but pushing the pigs head can be somewhat difficult for smaller kids. Easy to store all the pieces and kids do enjoy playing it. Would make a great gift !
