Ok, my soaker hose blew a leak within a month just like everyone else's. It seemed to split where the semi circle part meets the base. However on reading the destructions it says it is only rated up to 300kPa water pressure and a pressure reducer should be used. So I looked in store and found a Pope 300kPa pressure reducer for $13.73. Lets see if the replacement lasts longer if used as recommended. I don't know why they don't sell the hose with the pressure reducer. Would save a lot of complaints if it works. Or even sell it next to the soaker hose. Pressure reducer was in separate isle.

I live in the tropics where things don’t last long, so didn’t hold much hope, but needed something to keep my garden alive while on holiday. Was brilliant for the job! Continues to keep working perfectly despite the harsh conditions!

Brought this a few months ago & it worked beautifully in the built in garden box on my apartment balcony but suddenly the end blew out so need to replace the entire set up. Frustrating and very disappointed.

Unfortunately 3 out of 4 hoses I purchased at Bunnings Scoresby burst at the side seams. within 1 week of laying out on new lawn and not moving them.Poor qualiy control. They burst withing the 1st meter of length and became totally unusable. Pope is responsible but Bunnings has to accept some responsibility for selling shoddy materials. One hour to purchase and return home 1 hour to lay out a couple of waterings and they became useless. I have another that is 4 years old ? usure about brand.
My soaker hose burst wishing the first week around 1 metre from the end. Seemed to split where the semi circular part meets the flat base. Was only in one spot on the garden and never moved. Happened with the replacement as well. Both returned and refund received. Would not recommend purchasing this product. Other ones over the years I have had have lasted 10 years plus and dragged over garden and concrete driveways!!!
They burst because people give them too much pressure. They are not a high pressure device, on the package it says to use a filter and pressure limiter. The water should gently squirt from the hose creating a light sprinkling effect, if it’s blasting out of the hose and shooting 2 meters into the air it’s over pressurised and you are going to burst the hose. The hose can also be cut/joined/repaired/modified using standard irrigation push-in barb fittings from any hardware store. Just trim back the hose side wings 10mm shorter than the cut hose end, insert whichever fitting you want and secure with a ziptie.
We bought 2 of these 4 years ago to water our veggie garden whilst we went overseas. We put them on an auto timer and tested the system with our very low regional water pressure. Success! We have used them since in so many ways. They are magnificent in low pressure areas, spraying up to 4 metres across along their entire length. We are buying more to do our lawn strips as well. They are fantastic and have lasted for ages in very hot sun. I love how you can attach them to a rigid support above the ground with cable ties to water veggies from a height as well. So versatile. Can't recommend this product enough. It's tough, reliable, versatile and inexpensive.
I bought two of these to connect to cover the length of the new turf. One split within a week so I replaced it. The replacement then split within a couple of days. Useless!
Split several times in the 6 months i have had it. And no, it has nothing to do with too much pressure. My garden vege bed is only a meter wide so i only had it on low or would have just watered everywhere else. Anyway I didnt read it shoud only be used on low pressure. If you are going to make something it should work as intended for more than a few months
I've had my soaker hose for 3 weeks and it's already split. I thought by buying a brand name it would last longer but it didn't. The hose is not even in sunlight and the water pressure was low. Don't waste your money on any soaker hoses your just throwing your money away.Disappointed because ideally for the area I wanted to use it in, the soaker hose would have been perfect. Back to the drawing board.
