PopSockets PopMount 2 Dash & Desk & Windshield Car Mount Black

I had to put this on my window because I do r have any dashboard space. I really which I could turn the phone towards me because it only faces straight forward. Also, the phone goes dark because of how bright it is (even with the brightest setting on) so it’s hard to see it. I’ve used a pop socket for years cause I have small hands so it’s been a challenge to find a holder for the car that it fits. I was excited about this but it needs more versatility.

It turned out to be a very good experience and functionality. You do need to buy the expanding button and place it on the back of your phone so it can hook to the stand. But it holds it easily. Easy mount, easy remove. You do need to adhere the enclosed circular plastic bottom pad to the car dash to give it the strong suction needed for the stand. Though, I worry what the adhesive may do to my console if I were to remove it and place it elsewhere. I like that you don’t need to squeeze arms around it to hold in place, as other stands require. Not good to handle when driving, but you can hook the phone in place without taking your eyes off the road - all by feel. The expanding button part can be easily twisted off for cleaning or replacing. I am very happy with this design.

This works great in my home office to keep my phone nearby and available for remote access and authentication (I work from home / IT). I have it on a monitor stand next to my home PC so I can just turn my head, unlock my phone with facial recognition, & acknowledge access requests. I can also easily see if something comes in or answer a call. It is quite stable and works great. I gave it 4 stars only because when I purchased the second one for my CRV (after searching for MONTHS to find a car mount that will hold my ginormous smartphone) because the phone bounces/wiggles when it is on the dash.
