Good little unit but you cannot connect a standard android mobile/tablet device. The only exception is Samsung DEX enabled devices. You could also try a Chromecast but thats just more stuff you have to bring.Projection modes are good and also includes an inversion mode to project from the rear of the screen.

Bought this item to take camping with us, and use at home occasionally too. Worked perfectly for what we needed. We took a Google TV and tethered to a phone and we were able to stream movies and TV. Volume level on the built in speaker was more than adequate. We used 240v this time but the ability to power with 12v or off the internal battery is great too. Resolution is adequate, but not top notch. But for the price, I was quite happy.

Purchased this to treat kids to outdoor cinema night over summer using phone and streaming service...have to think again cause phone will not connect to it even using hdmi adapter purchased separately after projector won't recognise the things connected. Stuck connecting it to DVD player on ext cord or to a laptop with resolution so much better kids watch the laptop. No idea how to chromecast it using my phone as other's say they have so is a Pointless purchase...now going into pile for garage sale!

perfect for camping with the kids , however wasn't so easy to initially set up could not use phone or tablet. luckily I had a laptop and just downloaded movies off Netflix and streamed that way. screen could of been bigger, but bigger you go the more pixilated it became. so resolution wasn't that great but still did the trick. battery usage was good. lasted a 2 hour movie. then when not in use we charged it.
Great picture. But useless for camping unless you have a power source. The run time on this is less than a movie off the internal battery. So unless you are at a powered camp site. Be prepared for it to cut out mid movie. You get just over an hour off a single charge so much less than a standard movie run time.

Great product for what it is. We decided to connect our chromecast to it and it was easy as from there. We used it in a bedroom space and the picture was great. Obviously its movie theatre quality so dont expect a crisp clean picture. Might have to connect a speak to increase the sound but for a bedroom size setting, max volume was fine. Very happy with it
Great first little portable projector. Works great with a Laptop running off HDMI cord. Can use Netflix, Foxtel and other apps through the laptop if internet available, otherwise DVD's work great. Sound is very quiet but we hooked it up with speakers and it's amazing! The white sheet provided is too small. Can use a white double/queen flat sheet and rope/peg it down.
I purchased this projector to use mainly for my art. I project images onto surfaces to trace out designs for projects and murals. It has been perfect for this use.When I was looking at projectors this one stood out because it’s portable, I didn’t want power cables restricting my use of it for projects and I’m excited to be able to use it when we go away on camping trips with the kids.As for streaming movies, we set it up on a blank (dark) wall without the sheet it comes with and it worked well, nice and crisp 1080 image. The volume is a bit low for a big space but we plugged in our laptop and synced our boom portable speaker and that worked great.Very happy with it.
