The Bowl 2nd quality not so obvious ,just small defect same the 10in plate not so bad. just the 8in plate obviously noticeble.Actually this is my 1st order for portmarion collection.I wish for 1st grade in future for more satisfaction. Beautiful, solid plates, such good quality, beautiful design and good depth to the plates. I went for the hydrangea because I love the blue flower, I bought 4 many years ago on a visit to Portmeirion, they lasted ages, we still have two left even after daily, family usage. I'm now replacing them with 6 of the exact same ones. Great service, the plates arrived quickly, all in one piece, and were well packaged.

Blue Hydrangeas are my husbands favourite plants. We have various items from the Botanic Garden range but none Blue Hydrangeas on. So I decided to purchase this as a birthday gift for my husband. He is very pleased with it.

I have a large collection of Botanic Garden of various ages. The daisy is my favourite pattern I bought this plate to replace a very old daisy side plate which is barely fit for purpose and am HORRIFIED to see that you have changed the size of side plates!!!! WHY?? This new plate will not stack safely with the others and would look odd on a table set for several diners!
Holds sauce/gravy perfectly within the meal, fits easily into dishwasher eg not too tall (pointlessly), great glaze, strong & ever so pretty, goes with many other items incl. Wedgewood Sarah's Garden.
I ordered these side plates to replace/add to the set I already have. Unfortunately they are smaller than the original ones which I have since learned have been discontinued. Also on the undersides are small circles where the integrity of the glaze is poor.
I collect portmeirion and noticed some crazing on some of my very old plates, so am picking up replacements . I noticed these new plates are slightly thicker than the old, which is fine with me. Got a great price, but was surprised that the plate I received was not the pattern that was shown in the picture online for the single dinner plate. Not a problem for me, but just a warning that you may not get the exact pattern that you see in the picture when you order.
I have been collecting Portmerion dinner ware for over 30 years. It is hard wearing and we use it daily. There are new designs each year and a joy to collect.
I am loving our recent purchase from Portmeirion which includes this delightful Botanic Garden Pansy side plate! It is the perfect size for a mince pie, so lovely for this time of the year ,but equally perfect for a summer scone with cream and home made jam! Slight scratch on glaze. Item was reduced so I can only assume this was the reason, although no mention of plate being a second on your website. I tried to photograph it but the nature of the fault means that it does not show on photo due to light reflections.
