I love the design we received and how has our system responds to the controller. The 10 foot cable is perfect for gaming. I love that there are no batteries and the ergonomic design is very comfortable.

Super cute controller! The kids loved the Mario graphics (they are used to the plain controller!)! It is a bit lightweight, which can be good or bad. Kids can fling it about but it feels somewhat cheap. We are also sadly missing the ruble features. It does have a neat input for headphone jack that we use often. It is wired (which is sometimes good, because we forget to charge the wireless sometimes!) but the wire is long and we can easily play on our game room couch with no issues.

I received this wired controller for free in exchange for writing this review. My son has just about every Mario game for the Nintendo switch so this controller, designed with the Mario character logo, was immediately loved! The controller is ergonomically designed and very comfortable to play for hours at a time. It's got a usb cord that is 10 foot long and there are no batteries to worry about. I love that this controller has a built-in audio jack so my son can play for hours without disturbing the rest of the family. My son loves this controller, and his buddies love it too!

Man, the timing on this sample was phenomenal. I just received my new Pokemon game in the mail and then then next day, I received a sample of this PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for the Nintendo Switch. The functionality is great and I love the Mario branding on it. I would highly recommend one of these if you're looking for a great controller for your Switch.

This controller looks amazing. As a huge Mario fan this is definitely a collector for me. As I took it out the box I loved the Mario print on the controller. It's super lightweight! The buttons are smooth when playing. The material of the controller is simple. Feels just plastic. Compared to other controllers I use, this one I want to display in my clear box. I would have wanted it o feel more sturdy, this one feels more fragile. It's great controller for someone starting off. It really brings back childhood memories.

I mainly switch off between SSBU, BOTW and fortnite. 99% of the time that I play video games, I use a wireless pro controller while other the 1% of the time, I use the old school gamecube controllers. With that being said, I'll get into the pros and cons.Pros:- Responsive: There is no input lag. The gaming controls felt smooth and responded well in regards to what buttons were being pressed. Normally, third party companies make horrible controllers with a lot of input lag, but this one is surprisingly solid. As an added bonus, there is a fun and colorful Mario design on the controller as well.- Additional buttons/ paddles: This controller has additional paddles/ buttons on the backhand side. No matter how you hold the controller, those additional buttons are placed in easy to reach/ convenient locations on the controller so they add to your gaming experience to make things easier for you. The buttons work well and are easy to operate.- Mic port: The controller includes a mic port which works surprisingly well. I didnt expect for the controller to have this so this was a nice plus/ surprise.- Wired: This is both a pro and con, but in terms of the pros, this controller will never die on you. This is also most likely the reason why the controller has great responsiveness and no input lag.Cons:- Weight/ finish: This is a personal preference so it may not bothers others as much, but for me the weight of the controller and finish on the surface are issues for me. As mentioned, I'm accustomed to using a wireless pro controller so the PowerA controller is very light in comparison. It feels almost hollow on the inside which makes it extremely light. Also, the finish on the controller's surface is a smooth finish all around. The analog sticks has a hint of rubber feel for additional grip, but it still feels quite slippery.- Buttons: The button clicks are not smooth. It feels cheap and doesn't have a solid feel. The analog sticks are also stiff so for FPS games it's harder to aim on.- Wired: As mentioned before, this is both a pro and con. The cons include the inconvenience of having to plug the controller in. The wire provided is extremely long so it's not too much of an issue if you wish to sit 10 or so feet away, but it simply creates more clutter. The other con of wired controllers is that you have to play on a dock in order to use it. You can't plug it directly into the switch if you wish to take it on the go. Also, the controller has a usb port, which is a bit outdated now that everything is usb-c.All in all, I think this controller is great for the price - especially if you're a casual gamer. Most of the cons listed are personal preferences so they may not be too much of an issue for another person. Overall, since the controller is wired and the price point is less than half of the price for a pro controller, you honestly can't go wrong having the PowerA - whether it's meant as a backup controller or your main controller.
My PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for the Nintendo Switch is awesome. I have the Mario Pop art edition and I just love the design. I like the feel of the controller and the mapping buttons. I always keep wired controllers around because I don't have to worry about them running out of battery. The controller functions flawlessly which is exactly what I would expect from the brand. I will buy more in the future and I do reccomend.
I'm very happy with the look and performance of this controller. It connected immediately to my switch and gave no issues. I mostly used this on Mario Kart. The controls worked smoothly, felt great in my hand, not bulky at all. The cord is 10 feet long, which should work for most. However, my couch was a little close and is difficult with animals, but I can't complain at all aboutbthr length. The controller also has headset input for online play, but I did not test that function.
I play a mix of Fortnite, Smash Bros and Rocket League. The programmable buttons on the back are very helpful if you need to press say a button on the other side of the controller when most of your hand is on the other side and occupied. Especially useful when you're aiming in Fortnite and need to look at the map in the middle of a fight. Only downside is the cable gets lost easily and unplugs a little TOO easy. Good controller.
